She explained that she had ordered half brisket and half fish and even suggested asking the employee who had served her to confirm. Rather than speaking with the employee who served her, another staff member came over and began examining the bowl. The employees looked over the contents and gave opinions on the serving size and ultimately decided that the portions appeared larger than a half-and-half serving. Instead of simply discussing the situation or adjusting the charge appropriately, they threw the entire bowl into the trash and wanted remake it with what they believed was the correct amount of food. She was shocked by the decision to discard a perfectly good meal, especially since any over-serving was the result of the employee preparing the bowl--not something she requested or had any control over. As a customer, she ordered the standard half-and-half bowl in good faith and should not have been made to feel responsible if the portion sizes exceeded company guidelines. The experience was so surprising and upsetting that she chose to leave rather than wait for the bowl to be remade. As a loyal, repeat customer, she found the handling of the situation disappointing and wasteful. She believes the issue could have been resolved respectfully without throwing away her meal or making her feel as though she was at fault. We will not be returning to this location.
