I visited the Germantown, TN drive-thru for my family and had a very poor experience. The staff was unfriendly, I waited over 20 minutes despite being the only customer, and my order was cold, incomplete, and incorrect--I received a dollar menu chicken sandwich instead of the spicy chicken combo. I spent $50 and was very disappointed with both the service and quality. I would have given this a zero star or even a negative but it wasnt an option. I haven't eaten at a Wendy's in years, so I was kinda excited to pull through for a nostalgic treat. First, they were out of everything except burgers and vanilla frosty. They left my frosty off the order, fine. We said go ahead and add it at the window. The guy tried to charge us $13.75 for one frosty! Incredulous, we asked if that was right. He said yep. So obviously we didn't order it but pulled through the drive up menu again to see the price. It was $3.76 for a large. When we asked him about it, he told us he could only charge what the computer told him. Honestly, my hubby and I think he was up charging and taking the money. So, skip this Wendy's! Unfortunately, it isn't possible to review on this site without selecting one star. That is the only reason I'm giving this Wendy's one star. I hadn't been to this Wendy's in a year or so, since the last time I went around 2:00 p.m. I had to wait about 15 minutes in the drive through for a cup of chili for my sick husband. The person who finally gave me my order dropped my change on the ground, gave me my order, and never said a word. Against my better judgment, my husband and I went to this location on 5-25-18 to get a couple of hamburgers. This was a big mistake. Khadijah, who took our order, was rude to the point of being absolutely hostile. Could it be because we are older Caucasians? I did noticed that some African American men were in line behind us and she was quite friendly to them. I specified "no cheese" since I don't care for American cheese. Well, I got 2 pieces of cheese! Also, I asked for mustard, pickle and onion. The pickle and onion were barely hanging on to the hamburger, and it looked as though someone had aimed mustard at the hamburger and pretty much missed it. Khadijah asked for a name so that we could be called when our food was ready. My husband, whose name is Jim, somehow became "Jeremie." We waited about 15 minutes, along with probably 10 other people by this time, for our food. Several employees came straggling in by this time, and they started calling names for food. Several people got theirs, and then they started calling for Jeremie, who never came forth. On a hunch, my husband asked if they might be calling for him. It turned out they were! By then the food was cold. I didn't even bother to complain about the 2 pieces of cheese or the cold food. Khadijah and her cronies are so ghetto they didn't care and it wouldn't have made a difference. So....if you are thinking of going here, don't. Go some place else, or go hungry. Yesterday we received the WORST customer service ever at a fast food restaurant. We visited the store located in Germantown, TN on 9197 Hwy 72. Upon trying to redeem our BOGO sandwich offered on the receipt for doing the survey, we were told it was not at this address which is CLEARLY printed on the receipt. We immediately went outdoors and put in it our GPS which also verified this was the correct address. I guess being old they thought we were too stupid to figure this out. When we returned to the store the cashier said "They are back". Then a different person (3rd we talked to) came up and proceeded to take our order saying that she was used to seeing Poplar Ave being printed on the receipt. We have been coming there for some time and have never seen it printed out Poplar (always Hwy 72 as it was this time. She never apologized for how we were previously treated. Also on the way out I noticed just inside the door the SAME GROSS SPOT WE HAD SEEN THERE THE WEEK BEFORE. It looked like either throw up or spit up and it had never been cleaned. Next we tried calling customer service over 60 time, even at 8PM and 6AM and always got a busy signal. AS I am writing this I have been on hold for with Wendy's corporate office for 1hour, 51 min. We will NEVER visit that location again. Obviously they do not value their customers at all and corporate don't want to hear about it either. read more

I visited Sunday 3/23/17. Went through the drive-thru. After getting my order, I drove away. Checked my order and of course, it was wrong. They left out a burger. So, I went into the counter. The manager (I think) knew what I was looking for. After waiting a short time, she handed me the missing burger. No "sorry we left it out" or "I apologize that you had to come in". Nothing at all. She put it in my sack and I turned around to walk out and she said "It's not that serious!" Then, wait for it,,,,,,,she called me "PRICK". I asked her her name and she kept asking "Why?" over and over. I told her that I was going to call their corporate office (Valenti Management). She never told me her name and she wasn't wearing a name tag. I go to this location many times but not anymore. Oh by the way, I did call Valenti and left a voicemail. Had a hard day and late night last Sunday my husband pulled up absolutely starving. He asked for a baconator, they said they only had junior burgers left. They laughed at every question we asked. We pulled up after ordering disappointed already with what we had to order due to them being out of almost anything. When we pulled up they said while laughing that turns out they had a baconator left and they'd get it fixed up right away. Exciting and relieved we were starving we thanked them profusely only for them all to laugh and call us stupid. They told us they were out, duh". We begrudgingly took the food in silence.. and we we got was wrong.. what a horrible experience. I've never left a negative review before because I've worked in the service industry before and bad days are more often than good but this was far from the first time I was treated badly from the staff. This is one of the worst Wendy's locations-- please, manager, please fix it! It's convenient, and centrally located. But, the drive thru is the worst. They never get your order right, and 50% of the time they are out of something you order. Plus, in mid-afternoon (after 2), you can count on cold fries that should have been tossed. This has to be the worst Wendy's on the planet. At lunchtime, 1 person working the register. Their process of putting the orders in a bag kept the employee digging back into the NINE bags she had sitting on the counter to try to figure out what should go in the bags. She spilled ice on the counter and didn't wipe it up, so all those bags were wet when people finally got their orders. I waited 25 minutes for a burger and a salad, and there were only 4 orders in front of mine! A man in line to place an order wondered aloud if he would still be waiting at dinnertime. I've lived in this city for 15 years and still haven't figured out how this restaurant has remained open. This place is an absolute last resort for eating out and we've regretted it every time. Keep in mind that this review is based on random visits over a 15 year period. First, the dining environment - when you can find a table free of debris, you grab a chair only to get grossed out by the grimy, sticky feel. Floors are usually dirty and your shoes slide on the tile. In warm weather, Flies have been a recurring annoyance. Second, the staff are rude and care nothing about good service. They spend more time conversing with one another than they do the guest. Last, the food is not worth the price. The fries are always too salty, there's more bread and huge chunks of lettuce than meat, and when you need a refill on your drink you have to stand at the counter and wait for someone to acknowledge you and then refill it for you. Overall, this location of Wendy's needs a complete makeover. I don't believe this is what Dave Thomas envisioned for his business. read more
