it was Wednesday morning, 28SEP2022, and my "wheels"--an EV (aka eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike) was fully refurbished and ready for pickup at the fantastic BORDER BICYCLE shop in the East Loop Village (1861 Joe Battle South). I was easily able to catch reliable SunMetro bus #53 Eastbound on Montwood Drive at Yarbrough to Montwood High School ($1.50 usd), then gimpwalk East along Montwood to Zaragoza. At that poin, I was feeling quite peckish and because of the coupons in my pocket, very close by WENDY'S became my immediate goal. Though the dining room opened at (09;00), I chose to eat at the outside tables, still nicely shaded by the building. Assistant Manager JESSICA went out of her way to ensure my Brekkie combo--definitely included a superior coffee!--was better than advertised. Of course, my hunger could be considered a factor, but A.M. JESSICA attention made such a difference. This fabulous eatery definitely has my coveted "¡Wheel of Approval!" For a quick lunch I head to Wendy's for 5 dollar biggie bag. Meal comes with Texas double cheese burger side of fries and a piece chicken nuggets with a drink. All this food for 5 bucks. I remember when Wendy's had the Texas bacon double cheeseburger and needs to bring it back.. i've been at this location Wendy's several times in the morning right before seven drive-through and nobody answers looks like it's closed. It's supposed to be open around 630 drive-through 7 o'clock walk-in lobby. I see this place closed all the time at this time I tried several times to get my order in and go, it's always closed. This location must have the best bosses. The drive thru is never busy because they run an organized operation inside. It is crazy how good this store is at any time of the day with their service. I haven't eaten at a Wendy's in years! Like...since '06 or something like that. And...I dunno...perhaps I was inspired after my daughter recently obtained her first job at a local Wendy's. Point is, it's been a dog's age. And all I can say is...Wendy's sure has come a long way since I last tried a burger there. Which is why I'm doing this quick review. When you look at the pictures on their featured menu, you almost expect to get a greasy-spoon diner burger. To the contrary; this burger tastes surprisingly fresh for a fast food burger. As the bag states: "fresh, never-frozen beef". And ya know what? My palate believes them! The fry recipe has vastly improved from back in the day, too. I remember when these things used to be the saltier, thicker version of McDonald's fries. Imagine my surprise to discover they are cut from real potatoes! Even the skin is left on. If you're in the mood for fast burgers that don't completely suck or immediately clog your arteries upon first bite, stop by a local Wendy's. We got drive thru, so I can't speak much to the service. Wendy's on Zaragoza and Montwood has not given me my complete order numerous times. If and a BIG IF they answer the telephone, it is pretty convenient for them to tell me to go back for the items. I live about 5 miles away, therefore going back to complete my meal is very inconvenient. They make out pretty well by charging for items they don't actually give you. I've asked them to give me a refund on my credit card, and they have refused to do so. They can also give me a complete refund and then charge the actual items given. I'll never eat here again and I recommend nobody else does either. Last Friday we ordered food here at 7pm. By 10pm I was violently ill with food poisoning. Shitting and puking uncontrollably. The food was garbage. The line to wait in the drive thru was 25 minutes and there was only 3 cars. We were second. This place is absolutely disgusting. The service sucks ass. Every time prior they fucked up very simple orders. This time was no different. But the key point to my review is to warn everybody about hos sick this food made me. I was dehydrated until the following Tuesday. Do not buy food from this business. Go look at the reviews on the link provided by Google. 2 of every 5 are telling what garbage the food is and how it's always undercooked and tastes like old oil. So I come to this Wendy's because they have a TV in the dining room. Figured I'd catch a little bit of the NCAA basketball game. They have the TV on the NFL network. Manager Maria "couldn't find the remote" so it remained in the NFL network ONE MONTH after football season ends. Owner bought a TV which might as well be a poster on the wall. They also declined to refill my lemonade saying is corporate policy... Actually, it's at the discretion of local management. So, basically they don't care about their customers. Sad. About the food... Got chili and they added cheese. It was like warm to say the least. Cheese didn't even melt. Also, got fries with cheese sauce. This review is for a different location which apparently doesn't exist in maps. I tried using the app again it keeps giving me errors. I was unable to place any order what so ever. I took my phone with app still running showing my order and rhw manager wanted nothing to do with app and said if I couldn't make it work he wouldn't do anything about. I had previously deleted and redownloaded the app multiple times but nothing worked. I had used the rewards which were lost because the app kept showing errors and deleting every order I made. Listen up Wendy's owner or whom ever is in charge if you want to get in on the app market make sure it works before releasing it. I tried the app a year ago and all it did was crash it never ran. A Wendy's employee told me the same thing and that many people go there with similar issues. By the way don't bother trying to use the customer support chat line or 800 number because they don't work either. I was number one in the chat line for a half hour and the voice line never answered or went to voicemail. If you can't do your jobs quit and hire someone that can. Maybe wendys should outsource the workers and management to another country and fly them in to work here instead of the incompetent people they have now. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went just now to get some food. Came home and order was wrong and cold (my house is 5 minutes away) and the HiC I got tasted like absolute crap. I called to let them know and whoever I spoke with wad EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. I called and said that the drink tasted like shit and they went ahead and said "well thanks for the feedback , I don't give a fuck but thanks for the feedback goodbye" I called back to speak with a manager on the issue , same person answered and said they were the manager and that I was rude so they are gonna give me the same thing. This is my second visit to this Wendy's location. Both experiences are the same. I decided to give this location another chance after steering clear for almost three months. My first visit was at dinner during the weekend. My second visit was at lunch during the week. If you only speak English, be prepared to repeat your order numerous times, speak slowly, and point to the food you want. Had I not been paying attention, the lady making my food would have put ranch dressing on my burger because the cashier thought I wanted ranch on my burger instead of the dipping packet The food is on par with other Wendy's locations, however, the lack of bilingual staff taking the order poses a problem here and I will not return to this particular location when my Wendy's crave hits. read more

Bruh, I went to Wendy's with my coworker because our lunch break is super short. We ordered 2 4-for4 specials and an extra chicken nuggets. I also asked for a side of mustard. I didn't get the side of mustard which is fine, was not offered ketchup. When I get to my break room, I noticed I was not only missing the extra nuggets, but one of the 4-piece was actually a 3-piece. Now I wouldn't be mad if when I'd called the person that answered hadn't said there was nothing they could do and when I asked her if I was just going to get nothing for what I paid for she hadn't said, "yes." For that handling, I gave them that rating. While I admit it took balls to say yes to that question, that's not okay. read more

Outer appearance is presentable, even at night. Although something should be said about there marquee sign using and "L" for an "I". Inside is like most chain restaurants of it's type. Most tables are clean and some are dirty from past guests. Bathrooms are clean and usable. The observable areas of the kitchen, which are from the dining room, appear to be clean and maintained on a constant basis. The food that I ordered was hot, fresh, and tasty. After speaking to another patron seated near me, I learned that the salads here were also fresh and delicious, no wilted lettuce or out of date toppings. The ceiling mounted speakers seemed to be blown, most likely from younger employees blasting the latest music crazes late at night while closing the restaurant. During my visit, oldies was playing, one of my favorites! From my own past experiences working in the food service industry, a health inspection was always posted either near the entrance, or near the kitchen in some cases, for any and all guests to review. I assumed this was part of the Freedom of Information Act. However this Wendy's Restaurant did not have a current, or any for that matter, Health Inspection posted where the public could see it. Are they hiding something? Does the law not require them to post one? I will get to the bottom of this! After further investigation, according to The El Paso Times public list of Health Inspection Scores, this particular Wendy's scored a 76 in August of 2013. While this is a passing score, it has been over the 6 month mark for a current inspection. Time will tell. That is all. read more
