Possibly the worst drive through wait time ever. There literally should not even be a drive through at this location. Whomever is the franchise owner for this location needs to get it together and see what's going on with your employees and managers because You're losing customers and getting horrid reviews. Average wait time on a good night is about 20 minutes and that's in line parked with foot off the break waiting for the person in front of you to move but they never do. What prompted me to write this review was the fact that we decided to give it another shot after going there two other times and leaving due to the wait. Welp... this time was no different. I'm guessing the franchise owners don't ever come around, nor do the managers care. But I hope you guys read this as you are losing money on a daily basis. Your style of service is slow. I don't know if the restaurant is trying to keep "service" times low but your overall wait time is ridiculous. They choose to have people wait to take orders in the drive thru rather than stacking up orders and producing while waiting. I get it to a certain extent but if you are averaging two car orders and holding everything behind it then you are losing valuable time that could be used to take them produce the order or at least start the order while the cars ahead are being processed. I just don't get what's so difficult to understand about this logic. Look at McDonalds. You would rather stack up and start producing everything you can ASAP rather than waiting and only processing only 1-2 cars at a time from start to finish as the orders for the cars behind could be put in the system and already begin to be processed. read more

We still frequent this Wendy's as opposed to the Middletown location on 66, even though the other one is much closer for us. For us, the food seems to be a bit fresher here. One star off from my previous review because you have to pay close attention, and I mean close attention, to what you are being charged for your order. This past visit, I had my frosty key tag and showed it to the guy (the lanky dark haired one with the glasses) to get the free frosty. He charged me TWICE for it, thinking I won't notice. When I pointed it out to him, he pretended to act like it was no big deal but corrected his mistake. So, if you go and this guy is taking orders, request for someone else to take your order. He not only tried to overcharge me, but also tried the same thing (and effectively messed up someone's order) to the two people in front of me. Food wise, another star off for the fries. They are either over salted or overcooked. It's always one or the other. The burgers though, are delicious and very juicy, not dried out like McDonald's (sorry, McDonald's). And the chicken in the sandwiches is tender and juicy, not overcooked or dried out. For that, they deserve the two stars. read more

Terrible service. They claim they are open till 1am. We were traveling back into town after vacation and were starving. It was 1248am when we pulled up. I hated to be that last minute person but we just wanted a couple of cheeseburgers. A car was in front of us for a whole and we thought they were ordering because it was so long. We pull up and wait. It's now 12:55am. No one comes. We drive around to see all the staff outside smoking cigarettes. My boyfriend asked what was going on and why the car in front of us? They replied "we didn't serve him either" which means they clearly knew they had customers and chose to sit outside and ignore them. Not even tell us they are "closed." Also, often times food is cold or they are out of something. I think it's laziness and it's no way to run a business. read more

I had to call the restaurant to tell them it was the best food I have ever gotten from Wendys anywhere. 2 of the people working, Chris and Michael were so nice, friendly and very professional. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a public place EVER. When the incapable crew makes a mistake, as a manager you're suppose to make the situation BETTER. When confronted with the error the "manager" asks if we still want the food we did not order! After saying no she proceeds to toss the change for our refund which I had to get out of my car to pick up. Even after repeating our correct order 3 more times we had to return for a complete refund because the order was STILL incorrect. The manager who helped me with my refund was the only saving grace for this hell hole. I will never be returning to this location again. read more

I used to love Wendy's but the last few times I've gone to Cromwell location have been horrible. It is on the pricier side for fast food which I don't mind paying if it's good. The manager grabbed our money and practically threw drinks,food at us than disappeared yelling at employees. No change was given,no thank you. I just drove away since it was only a few cents. I don't frequent Wendy's but I decided to go there for lunch today. I asked the order person the difference between coke no sugar and Diet Coke. She didn't know. I was subsequently told by another person there that they were not allowed to give out information like that and that I should instead look on the internet.
