I had a gluten-free Reuben sandwich, but the bread fell apart on me so I had to end up eating it with a fork. I think my favorite thing was my iced latte. It's hard to find a good latte! There is ample seating and it's bright and clean. The workers there were friendly. Overall, it was a good experience and no one left dissatisfied.

Both times, I was told to pull forward and waited over 10 minutes for my order. Understandable if I was ordering something special, but I'm not. It's a simple McChicken meal. Drink, fries, 4 nuggets and a McChicken sandwich. Not wild stuff! But they can't make it quick. Won't be stopping here again. Edit: when I finally received my food, it was horrible. The fries were old and soggy. The chicken nuggets tasted almost stale and the mcchicken wasn't anywhere near hot. I could almost understand the wait if it was fresh, but it's just laziness. I'm sure their numbers look great for the drive-thru wait times, but they're just making everyone wait so they can push the line along and make it seem like they're being quick. We were seated right away, and the staff was hustling the entire time. Even with how busy they were, our food came out pretty quickly. The portions were huge, and everything had great flavor. My only complaint was the mango margarita, it tasted more like mango juice than a margarita, they were skimping on their tequila apparently. They also have out several different hot sauces, which was a nice touch if you like a little extra heat. If you're visiting the Ark Encounter and craving Mexican food, I'd definitely recommend stopping here. Great food and fast service, plenty of parking too.

After waiting at the entrance, the host simply asked, "How many?" then grabbed menus and walked off toward a booth without saying "Follow me" or offering any kind of welcome. She tossed the menus on the table and walked away--no greeting, no "Your server will be right with you," nothing. We sat for 15 minutes without a single server acknowledging us or taking a drink order. Looking around, we noticed other tables had drinks, but hardly anyone seemed to be having their orders taken. Eventually, we left and headed to Cracker Barrel, where both the service and the food were fantastic. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Kelly's Homestead Restaurant.
