a fast food restaurant with a sign in the window

Blah!! I read the review s & STILL stopped by for a quick bite. That's my fault. The drive they line was beyond slow. I feel like I was in it for 30 mins and there were only 4 cars in front of me. It was before 9 pm. I got a kids chicken nugget meal with a Sprite. The order taker was rude & her tone was horrible. She had a bad attitude. Maybe a previous customer got on her nerves. When I got to the window, most of the staff were wearing masks under their nose or hanging off of their faces. It made no sense. My food was COLD! I can't understand this for the life of me because of the amount of time I was in that slow line. Again, I should have avoided this place after reading the reviews. It was terrible.

asked for a dave's single and strawberry lemonade. (waited an hour and a half w doordash) don't piss me off

It's been many years since I ate at a Wendy's restaurant. My parents live in Ohio and are regular customers of Wendy's there. My wife mentioned that she'd never been to one so they convinced her to try it. We were on the way home from a little grocery shopping on a Monday evening so my wife suggested we pick up some Wendy's and take it home. We arrived in the early evening and found the place fairly busy with a few customers waiting to order inside and several cars lined up at the drive-through window. Not being familiar with the menu, I opted to go inside so I could study the menu boards before ordering. I observed the restaurant was basically clean though there were a couple of dirty tables and a small bit of trash on the floor. The order process was uneventful, employees didn't appear enthused about their jobs but they were polite. I was really hungry so for the two of us I ordered three Dave's Singles, a large order of French Fries, a large Chili and a large Vanilla Frosty. After placing my order I stepped aside to wait for my number to be called. It took a little longer than I thought it should for "fast food" but after a bit they called my number and handed me a bag. I started to walk outside then realized the Vanilla Frosty I ordered was missing. I double checked my receipt and found I did indeed order and pay for one. I went back to the counter and informed an employee of the discrepancy. He informed the woman who had taken my order that I was missing the item. She grabbed a cup and headed for the Frosty machine but stopped momentarily to chat with another employee. This annoyed me since I was already inconvenienced by having them forget to include it with my order in the first place. After making the item she handed it to me without a word of apology or acknowledgement. Whatever, with my order now complete I left the store. After a five minute drive to the house we got out some plates and sat down to eat. What a disappointment. The burgers were assembled haphazardly without regard to appearance and all three were missing onions which, I had been assured by the order taker, would be included. The cheese product had an odd consistency, it was semi-liquidy with a rather off -putting taste, not at all pleasant. The worst thing about the burgers is that the meat was cooked so far beyond well done that it was very dry and pretty much tasteless. I am not exaggerating when I say it was probably the worst cheeseburger I have had in my entire life. My wife took one bite and was done with it. I managed to eat half a burger. The rest got crumbled up and mixed with our Basset Hound's dog food. The fries were another major disappointment. They were just a pile of limp potato strips without the least bit of crispness. The chili was average, nothing special but good. The Frosty was another disappointment. I don't know if there was something wrong with their mix or what but it was pretty flavorless with only a hint of vanilla evident though the texture was right. Here's the report card. Cheeseburgers - Grade F French Fries - Grade F Chili - Grade C Vanilla Frosty - Grade D Customer Service - Grade D It's really a shame that Wendy's has fallen so far. I remember enjoying their burgers when I was in high school and college, at that time I thought they had the best fast food burger. Regrettably, my experience earlier this month was nothing like what I remembered all those years ago and I will definitely not be making the mistake of a return visit.

    a burger and french fries

This is the worst Wendy's I ever went to , I ordered two Jr deluxe cheese burgers , with premium buns and no pickles. Some lady at the register told another lady that was making the burgers I'll help you after that chaos order . Then hands me a cup and says your ice tea in a snotty voice then walked off complaining about something. I get my order from the lady making the burgers , I say thank you very much I appreciate it . She rolls her eyes at me and walked off not saying anything. Everyone in this Wendy's looks miserable , not one once of customer service, my burger was smashed flat . The tomato looks horrible and falling apart , I took a bite, and there was something crunchy in the burger who knows what it was I spit it out , the fries where over cooked and hard . I called the manger and he was just as bad as the people in there . Sounded like he hates his job also , he definitely didn't want to listen about my experience, or cared . I guess that why this place has a 1 1/2 star rating . It's lucky it even gets customers. I will never go back to this Wendy's again . And also look at the kitchen it's dirty. Don't give this place your money . There are other good places to eat . Wish I could give it a zero

My visits to the Raising Cane's Chesapeake location were two different experiences. The first was…read morea solid 5. The second was rounded up to 4. The food was equally good both times. I chose the Chicken Tenders Box Combo both visits. It consists of 4 large pieces of tender juicy chicken & true Deep South Cole Slaw prepared with a light sauce, just like I grew up with. Also included were Crinkle Cut French Fries & awesome Texas Toast. I opted out of their Special Sauce, which I am told is delicious by those who like dipping Chicken Fingers. Lemonade, which is really good, was my drink choice. Perhaps the difference in the visits has to do with time of day. The first visit was mid afternoon, having had a doctor's appointment in close proximity. The personnel were friendly & welcoming. What must have been the manager told us we should come back the next week, on their First Anniversary. We decided to support the restaurant on their Anniversary, meeting friends who lived in Chesapeake. The drive from the Shore Dr corridor to Greenbrier at rush hour was much longer than anticipated. So it was in the midst of the dinner hour when we arrived. The restaurant was extremely busy. The staffing seemed similar to our mid afternoon visit, which wasn't quite adequate to handle the dinner hour level of business. It wasn't an Anniversary crowd. My Chesapeake friends indicated that the restaurant was always that busy. The food tray came so quickly that I was still talking to one of their pleasant personnel, maybe a manager. Although we were able to order quickly, very soon there was a long line snaking past our table towards the back of the store. I was shocked when we left the restaurant at the extremely long line of cars waiting to go through the drive thru. The parking lot of the restaurant didn't come close to containing it. Told that it was always like this, I understood that the staff must be struggling to handle that many customers at one time. One big complaint on my second visit is that one of their 2 unisex, spacious bathrooms was completely out of toilet paper & paper towels. The soap dispenser had the front taken off, obviously by a patron trying to find soap. The inside replaceable plastic bag of soap refills had been squeezed, obviously in an attempt to get the last of the soap remaining. I planned to tell an employee the state of that bathroom but they were so busy that I decided to just return to my table. Obviously this was a good location choice for a Raising Cane's. But I do think they should increase their staffing level during the busy dinner hours. The location was filled with framed Chesapeake History. It was fun to walk around and see the articles & pictures. One was even a page from the 1955 Oscar Smith High School Yearbook. I'll return to this location both for takeout after a doctor appointment or to meet my Chesapeake friends. But I'll definitely leave earlier or take a different route. And I look forward to the opening of their planned Lynnhaven location.

You can customize nearly everything, and while that kind of complexity could easily bog things down, I've found this location to be impressively efficient. The staff keeps the drive-thru moving, fast and to the point. That said, if you're new or just indecisive, I highly recommend going inside. The menu is huge, and if you're not ready when it's your turn, you might feel a little rushed. My husband and I text our orders to each other and read off our phones to keep things moving. Cook Out was once the king of budget eats -- I remember when a tray (entrée + 2 sides + a drink) was around $5. Those days are behind us. These days it's more like $7-$8, which still isn't bad, but the creep is noticeable. One of my latest discoveries that might change your life: they sell slices of cheesecake. Yes -- actual cheesecake for around $3. You can add any of their milkshake toppings to it. Crushed Oreos on your cheesecake? Done. Strawberry syrup and peanut butter cups? Go for it. It's dangerously indulgent. In short: Cook Out is chaotic in concept, but smooth in execution -- especially at this location. It's not fine dining, but if you're craving cookout classics with infinite combos and quick service, it hits the spot (esp late night cravings!!!!)

There are several menu items like burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, milkshakes, and more. Their milkshakes are definitely worth trying!! I highly recommend it. I got the burger platter (cheddar style), with double Cajun fries, and a blueberry cheesecake shake. If you don't choose a style for your burger the toppings are charged separately, which can add up quickly!! The burger was good with that melted gooey cheese on it. I wish it was a little more seasoned. But it was still good though. The fries are really good if you add Cajun seasoning to them. They were hot and crispy. I love dipping them into their delicious BBQ sauce. The milkshake was awesome!! Lawd have mercy, I didn't expect that. I could eat them everyday If diabetes didn't exist. Smh. The prices are decent and the food is good. I enjoyed my meal and will return. Check them out!

So I wasn't sure how I would feel about this spot that has drawn such praise. Tonight I was gifted a barbecue sandwich with coleslaw on the side from this Janaf area location. It was the best barbecue sandwich I've ever had. The barbecue was perfectly prepared with a sauce that had a little bit of a kick, just enough hot to really add to the taste. The pulled pork couldn't have been better. It had absolutely no hint of fat. Normally I order barbecue without a bun because the bun overpowers the barbecue. Not so with Cook Out. The bun was small & flat and the barbecue itself was the main course of the sandwich. The coleslaw was perfect. It was prepared without all the sauce that some restaurants apply in an over abundance. After my first taste of Cook Out I will now "brake for a stop" to have that yummy sandwich again. Hurray for a fast food restaurant that's tasty and prepared well.

I have lived in the area for a majority of my life and had never thought to go in. I am glad I finally did! The restaurant had ample seating, with tables inside and out, along with a long bar to sit. The service was great! Sean was super nice and told us all of his favorite things off of the menu. We ordered a handful of things: - A 1/4 All Beef Hot Sausage: This was my favorite item and Sean's go to on a break. We added chili and mustard and it was absolutely delicious. - A Hot Dog Dietz & Watson: Solid , but nothing to really write home about. It might just be, because it followed a sausage that good. We added chili, mustard, and a bit of onion for this one. - A Pork BBQ Sandwich: Really good! I am not the biggest BBQ fan either, but I plan to try the Chicken BBQ next time. I added coleslaw and onion for this item. I liked their coleslaw a lot, which also surprised me. The only thing I wished was added, was extra sauce. - Buffalo Chicken Sausage: Really good! This was a close second for me. It was not too spicy either. Just right, with onions, chili, and mustard. - Sweet Potato Fries and crinkle fries: I love sweet potato fries and these were good. The crinkle fries were just okay. I wish they did have some seasoning.
