I understand and empathize with fast food works needing to be paid more to make a living, but the should be some minimum competence to them doing their job. Signs outside say Open Early. Google says they are open at 6:30. Front door was OPEN at 7 am. They said they didn't open til 7:30, inside, or the drive through. Well it looks like from other people's experiences that whoever the hiring manager is for this Wendy's chain certainly isn't doing a good enough job. We sat there and waited for over 5 mins at the drive thru to be helped and finally just pulled out of line because we were hungry and weren't going to deal with it. We went to BK next door, ordered our food, and were on our way in under 3 mins. When we looked over, the line still hadn't moved and was even longer. My burger was good but the young man in the hoodie working the drive thru had no personality. He didn't give me a straw and napkins and I waited to get his attention. I didn't tell him What I needed he just open the window and handed me a straw and closed the window. He looked as if he was mad at the world. Customer service was wack :( I live in New York and I'm here for school, wendys is my safe space and usually is my comfort food. I come here in hopes to get the wonderful juice nuggets I love and yet when I receive my order, the nuggets resemble McDonald's nuggets. They were horribly dry and ugly. And the people in the kitchen got my order wrong twice. All I wanted was nuggets and 2 PLAIN home style chicken sandwiches. How hard is it to just put chicken between bread???? But other than that, the people working at the register were rude and seemed to not even care to be there, which I understand because they were young but I still feel they should be less irritated. I like Wendy's. But, the war has done something to them. Wendy's has been trying too hard to keep up with the latest "chicken wars" and has lost their original Wendy's charm in their food. The past two times I have tried to get my favorite burger (the pretzel bacon pub burger) they has replace the burger with chicken. This is unacceptable. The person handed me 4 singles, and when I ask where the rest of my change was this genius replies "we don't have any change". Went to Wends today 5/28/19 around 1:15pm The food was terrible. Bought the 4 for $4 and a .50 cent frosty. The fries tasted like they were from the day before; was not fresh. Decided to give it a try again and ordered their new Spicy Chicken with Avocado meal...It was a nice big size deep fried chicken with avocado with lettuce, tomato, mayo between a toasted bun...Took my first bite and the spicy chicken was very dry...ugh! Not worth the price, $10 including tax, medium size meal with fries and a drink...the fries had more flavor than the chicken. For a franchise, you would think they have instructions how to cook process food. He came to my assistance when I pulled the string in the bathroom when there was no toilet paper. He walked in with the utmost confidence in his eyes like he was born to wipe other men. When we both realized this wasn't your two squeeze thank you plz kind of poop, he retrieved a stack of napkins from his back pocket, assuring me everything would be OK. At Wendy's, Stanley is only a number, but in my eyes he is number one. On my way out he pulled out a small frosty and gave it to me.
