Lobby was closed way too early had to wait 20 minutes in line for for them to mess up the order and had to wait another 20 minutes for it to still be wrong. Don't recommend coming here. Horrible customer service read more

Hi, my review is this. The McDonald's on Newtown Rd in Danbury, CT is a great place, clean but there is one problem. One of the supervisor, she is spanish, fat and has a nasty attitude. Never smiles, looks down on people, homeless people are NOT about drugs, alcohol or mental issues, you can have a job and be homeless. Not to say that i am homeless, since i have been order there and she hasn't taken my order, her nasty look on her face towards me is disgusting and not customer service like. Maybe she needs to go back to her country, or how would she feel if someone said that to her. I actually said something to her about herself. She needs to be fired, transfer or demoted to another McDonald's. I actually am a nurse who works at a hospital. She is so unprofessional. I don't know what's with this particular McDonald's, but not only is the service slow, but they get the orders wrong more than getting them right, especially through the drive thru. It would help tremendously if order takers and kitchen staff didn't have to translate instructions. If I could give this spot 0 stars, I would. It's unbelievable how slow, and rude they can be. I pull up to the window one night and a voice yells "CASH ONLY" rudely through the speaker. God forbid you say 'hi, we can only take cash at the moment'. Also, you want sauce with your meal? Hah, good luck. You either get none, or if you ask for 2, you MIGHT get 1. Sizes of drinks are a crapshoot, sometimes you get a large when you ask for a medium, sometimes you get a small. My favorite is when you ask for a coke and you get Orange Hi-C. If you can, go down the road to Burger King, or another McDonald's. This one isn't it. Would have given zero stars if possible, we ordered one happy meal. Staff does not pay attention to any one that walks in. No napkins, condiments, fountain machines or anything available for someone who comes in the store. They pay attention to only Drive through. Signs on windows have the current Elemental toys for happy meals but we got an old movie. My son was disappointed so I thought maybe we can swap it real quick for a more updated one. Very friendly service! They were very patient with our kids bouncing around inside the restaurant and even gave them balloons. Kids had a blast. So they redesigned McDonald's again. I am not usually a person that comes here but was craving one of their hash browns. Needless to say they persuaded me to get and egg and cheese. But the registers don't exist now they are smart boards and all automated ordering, what happen to going up to a register and ordering food, now you you stand in front of a tv screen and press buttons. Maybe I'm just old fashion but, doesn't this take away jobs and the smart ordering board was not even working correctly and it gave me back the wrong change. So someone a "person" had to get me the right change, so I guess the system hasn't worked out it's kinks yet. I won't be back, not because I don't normally come here but the whole concept of ordering and the removal of jobs is not something I want to contribute to. Horrible Service!! I ordered my 2 for $4.00 sandwich at 8:15am this morning 8/21 and they finally brought it to me @ 8:25am...10min-wow! But, they only brought (1) sandwich and the server said I will be right back with the other one! The bathrooms were clean, and this McDonald's is surprisingly swanky! I was taken aback to walk in here and see a fake fireplace and booths decked out with individual HD TVs. What is the deal here? Unexplained terrible customer service at this location on 7/6/2020, at about 7:15pm. Corporate has been notified. I was ordering food through the drive thru, the employee/manager Alexis taking our order was answering very fast, rude and unpleasing. We did not have any issues coming to this restaurant until the employee made us feel uncomfortable. When we pulled to the window to pay, there was an unpleasant feeling from Alexis. We did not comment her or anything, we just paid for our food and thought nothing of it, just move on... As we were driving to the next window, I turned my head around because we have kids in the car and was giving my attention to them but looked at Alexis and she stuck the middle finger to us......This action was uncalled for and if there are cameras facing her directions then please review immediately. At that moment I could not believe what just happened and I instantly called for the manager as we were going to the next window...The manager that came to us was a latin male with no name tag. I explained what happened and asked for their names and corporate information. He refused to give the information and refunded us the transaction. He did not apologize or explain anything to what had happened. He ignored us. When we asked for his name he said "I don't have to, you don't know and I dont know you." He took offense to us rather than trying to hear us out. I said to him that he was a horrible unprofessional manager with the worst customer service ever. I do not understand why Alexis took her personal feelings out on customers who are simply just trying to place an order and expect pleasant decent service. The kids in the car were very worried about what happened. This really just makes no sense. So I am taking the proper steps to write reviews and reach out to Mcdonalds to address all the employees at this location to get RE-TRAINED on customer service, or get new employees who are grateful and pleased to provide service. Alexis was not wearing a name tag as well. We got her name from customers. We found out that she is actually the manager.....Please address this serious problem.
