Horrible service. Ordered twice and somehow Nancy STILL somehow got both wrong. Was charged more than I should've and the food was cold.

Last night my friend and I picked up an quick dinner at Wendys and brought our meal to the beach. when we opened up the bag of food we were very disappointed. Our French fries were greasy, cold and inedible and our sandwiches left a lot to be desired. We both ordered the single with cheese. I definitely was expecting lettuce tomato and onion but there was no tomato and one tiny piece of onion. My friend had one pickle on her sandwich. My soda had no ice and was warm and not one bubble in the entire cup I'm sure something was wrong with their soda machine. You would think for $10 each and spending a total of $20 at this restaurant that one of us would've at least been half satisfied. I will never again visit this place. read more

This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. Unfortunately, it's also the one closest to my current home. They get orders wrong most of the times, and they often simply leave things out, so check your bag before you leave the drive-through! The new fries, which are excellent at most locations, are usually limp and cold at this one. Asking for extra anything will have no effect whatsoever. (I like extra pickles, always ask for them, never got them at this location). Asking them to leave things off has the same effect. (I don't like cheese, they always put it on anyway, so I have to scrape it off later) If the Wendy's corporate team had half a brain they'd take the franchise away from this lazy, incompetent operator. read more

I honestly don't eat a lot of drive-thru fast food. I was craving chicken nuggets though & was driving by & they did not have a long line maybe 3 cars in front of me moved pretty quickly so I hopped on it. Got a 10-piece reg. nugget & 10 piece spicy nugget. I didn't make it a meal w/ fries or drink. Just straight up nuggets. I asked for 3 honey mustard & 3 ranch sauces. So I got everything I asked for, the nuggets are nice and hot. Although one of my nuggets looked very deformed so I did not eat it. I threw it away. I obviously can't even eat 10 in one sitting. Sitting I knew I'd have extras to reheat in the oven. And I'm posting this now even though I went over a month ago but I'm trying to catch up on my post. And this is the first time I've been to Wendy's and over 6 months. So I think I'll definitely go back again. I do not like their hamburgers. I never have been a fan of them. I like their chicken nuggets, there's chicken sandwiches, their fries and their cheese. Sour cream, baked potatoes. That's about it. But the last time I went I just got nuggets and fries. So I'm pretty much a "plain Jane" when it comes to getting that kind of stuff. I'd rather be safe than sorry, if/when I get the "urge" for drive thru which I don't do that often. read more

My girlfriend and I went to Wendy's at around 10pm for a few burgers and some nuggets. Not sure if the burgers would have been better earlier in the day, but they were absolutely awful and overcooked. Possibly not frozen but definitely not fresh. They had a weird taste to them as if they had been cooked a second time. It's unfortunate because we love Wendy's...but will not be returning to this location. read more

This amended review has been on the HORIZON for quite some time. Perhaps instead of pulling employees from the scum pool of Branford, they should look to a higher tier of individual to fill their desired roles. Nobody wants 10 IQ Louie cooking up their burger. There was an incompetent woman working their register. The purpose of this review is to expose the woman whose name begins with an "A" who needs to cut back their attitude with customers. She couldn't understand my order, so she proceeded to raise her voice with me. My initial reaction was "Wow! Holy cow! Can't believe she just did this!" I never would have thought that in my 76 years of dining pleasure I would run across such a pathetic fool! I did not arrive at this not so fine establishment to weather the disingenuous attitudes being projected from the inconsiderate cashiers. However, on a more a more positive note, I can vow for the cashier by the name of Austyn, he was very kind and considerate. I come home from work, I stop at Wendy's to get a kids meal for my son. I literally tell them in plain English that I want to hamburger catchup only. That my son has allergies and allergic to cheese. So I get home and a hamburger has cheese on it. The girl Emily , Very courteous but I was he doesn't understand English. Customer service today is trash, most of these young kids worry more about their phones then the customers. Screen your employees better Wendy's!!! read more

On one hand, it seems a little pointless to review a fast food chain restaurant, especially since I try to avoid fast food whenever I can because it's really not practical to find something that's not too bad for you. Fast food is fast food, right? What's there to review? But dear, dear friends, stay away from this Wendy's, even if you love Wendies in general. It is cursed. Both of us were working late yesterday, so I ran out to grab us Wendy's so we'd at least have something hot to eat, and the resulting tour through the drive through of the damned had me looking over my shoulder wondering when Vergil was going to appear and offer to act as my guide. I should mention that I've consistently had a terrible experience at this particular Wendy's for all the years I've lived in Branford. Most notably, they almost always get the order entirely wrong, and they will never give you an itemized receipt (y'know, so you can check that they got your order right without digging through the bag before you leave), but it's the closest fast food to the house or I wouldn't even have ventured out to find that it was, somehow, worse than I remember. First of all, there was a line of about seven cars waiting for food or to order, not because Wendy's is so popular late on a Sunday evening but rather because of the glacial pace with which orders were being filled. When I finally pulled up to the intercom box which, I found, was still as broken as ever, emitting bursts of static so hideous that I felt compelled to flinch away in case it started firing sparks and molten plastic at my car. The fellow on the other end obviously hated being at Wendy's even more than I did, and he made that eminently clear when I tried to order food. He also had apparently spent as much time and effort at work that day as I had, since he was simply unable to muster enough energy to enunciate a single word that dropped from his exhausted, world-weary lips. In a contradiction worthy of Shakespeare, though, he combined his slurred, exhausted speech with a consistent attempt to rush me through my order, and this is where the experience started to feel surreal. He was under some kind of desperate pressure to take my order as fast as he possibly could--despite the fact that there were four cars in between me and the food window--while simultaneously refusing to speak clearly enough that I could understand him through the staticky box without multiple requests to repeat himself. He also let me say the first three or four items from my order before interrupting me to ask me what the first one was, at which point items began to appear on the screen in some kind of sci-fi time shift, out of sync with reality. As I repeated myself, he continually interrupted me with an urgent-but-yet-somehow-still--slurred "whillthacompleeyororduh" after everything I said, and occasionally *during* things I was saying. I got so frustrated that I finally said "yes" before my order was over. I seriously didn't even order all the food we wanted because between the rushing mumbler and the time-bomb intercom, I either needed to leave or take a tire iron to the shrubbery next to the drive-through. Of course, I still had to wait for the next four orders to actually be filled before I finally got to the window. This Wendy's is the worst. They get your order wrong all the time, and every once in a while they save up the incompetence for an experience as special as mine was last night. read more

This is the second time I've gone to this Wendy's location and have been disappointed. I ordered the quarter pound single combo with cheese. The burger was overcooked, the top bun was covered with grease on the top, grease on the paper, one piece of lettuce that was white and translucent, and the the bun wasn't even fresh. The fries were not hot, salted or fresh. The best item was the chicken nuggets. They were crispy and hot, very tender inside and I loved the honey mustard sauce. Also their homemade lemonade was so excellent! Not too sweet or tart, just perfect! I live in West Haven and usually go to the Wendy's close to me in Orange, the quality of food at that chain is much, much better then this Branford one. Been eating at this Wendy's as long as I can remember. But today apparently there is a new ketchup rationing policy. I ordered my already over priced value meal for $9 at the drive thru. As I received my food I proceeded to ask my cashier for ketchup. I was handed two ketchup packets. I politely asked for two more. The cashier told me I was only allowed to have two packets according to the food I ordered. I politely asked again if he was kidding me and said "No, sorry it's a policy" . There also may be a napkin policy but I didn't dare ask for more than two napkins. I understand the policy of asking for condiments instead of putting them in the bag for someone who doesn't wish to receive them. But if a customer asks for a reasonable request I don't see a reason to deny it. I will be visiting a different location from now on. read more

Been going here for YEARS!! The service has been getting worse and worse and the food is also getting worse. The burgers are never juicy. They are always burnt. Went there today at 5:30 and ordered my food, paid and them I asked where the burger I ordered was and they said I never ordered it. And I said yes, I order a #4! The woman proceeded to ring me up. After 20 minutes waiting I should have gotten it free. I told her to credit my card back. Went to Five Guys instead. Never again! And we were regulars too.... read more

Prices a bit higher than other Wendy's, but food is no better. There seem to be nothing about the location that justifies the price. The chili is the best thing on the menu. That and a baked potato makes a good, low calorie, filling meal. read more

I try to avoid going to this Branford location because I always have a problem and they aren't always little issues. One constant is that there will be an issue. Today's issue is that I ordered two lg frosty's. When I looked at the cup, the vanilla was 3/4 filled. It is very frustrating. I usually avoid this place, but when I give in and go, there is a problem. I need to stick to BK. I can count on good service and accuracy. Wish I could say the same for Wendy's onBranford Hill. I don't understand that even when I order 4 things, they can't get it right and have rude servers. It may seem petty and small but it is every time I go to this location that there are problems from small to huge! Too often, the burgers are petrified and awful. The fries are only ok when hot out of the fryer, otherwise they are cold and rubbery. The only thing you can count on are death, taxes and now bad food & service at the Branford Wendy's. I placed my order via mobile app once done it indicated to tap button when I arrived went and made one stop before going to pick up the food to ensure it was done. Tapped button it said for me to go inside and straight to the pick up window which I did and I stood there while they took three people in line who also got their food before me and then I went back to my car to see put my phone in and went inside and back to pick asked them if the order was ready gave my name and they proceeded to bag the couple items that were ready but several were still not ready and I had to wait longer and once they gave me my bags of food I went to my car and my daughter told me the soda was missing so had to go back in for my cup to get the soda. Finally got home and the cheesy fries were cold as well as the two other burgers because had to wait for chili and another burger. Would have been quicker going inside and ordering then or to drive up that way I could have used coupons. UGH never never again will they get my business!!! read more
