I am generally a HUGE fan of Five Guys. This location really disappointed. Teagan and I stopped for a late lunch (2:15) on Saturday. No line. Hurray. And started to order. I should have been alert to the fact that the place was messy. First clue to a less than stellar visit to a restaurant. I understand when there is a line out the door and the place is packed that the table won't get cleaned quickly and there will be trash on the floor. But neither of those conditions were present on this Saturday afternoon. Next disappointment, the milkshake machine was broken. Two strikes. Our food came out and we were really hungry. Burgers were great like always. Topped correctly and tasty and juicy. Our Cajun fries were less than stellar. Our bags was loaded with end bits. Almost no long delicious fresh fries. There was so much Cajun seasoning on the fries that the salted peanuts helped minimize the saltiness of the fries. The magical soda machine was out of two entire types of flavors, no Sprite and no Fanta. Even the ketchup dispenser was on the fritz. Maybe this location was just having a really bad day. Maybe the manager is on vacation. But if you walk in for some delicious burgers and the place is a mess, walk away. read more

You wanted the best, now you've got the best .... or whatever, it's just another Five Guys. They have been open a few weeks and I finally made it in, place was super clean (new construction build out) and the staff was eager to make the food. I felt the food came out pretty slow for me but others got their food super quick, maybe it was what I ordered - I dunno. If you are a cocacola fanatic they have the freestyle machine here, so you can pick your coke and add flavors if you so desire. If you are looking for something nice and refreshing and non-coke to drink with your burger and fries check out Smoothie King right behind it. This my first visit ever. I wasn't sure what to expect. Not quite the best burger I've ever had. It was good and tasted a lot like johnnie rockets. My burger was correct. My wife's burger was incorrect with the toppings. Not a big deal. I was expecting something different/special with the fries being cooked in peanut oil. I was very disappointed. Should say it's $$. It's not a cheap burger, but it's a good one. Also, the fries taste SO good, as they're fried in PEANUT oil, not canola or vegetable oil. Whenever you go, there will be a line. If you love Five Guys, you'll be disappointed here. Management seems very lax. On my visit, there was food & an A-1 dispenser bottle on the floor of the prep area. It made me hope they didn't pick it up & place it back on the food prep station without washing it. Inaccurate order handling. They gave my burger to someone else. Service sucked, every burger was wrong and the fries were incredibly salty and inedible. I ordered a burger in a bowl with extra peppers and received two peppers, no jalapeños, the cheese was stuck to the foil and there were little to no mushrooms and onions. Way out of line in regard to their pricing. I was too hungry to go anywhere else so I paid almost $7 for ONE hot dog. Ridiculous... and in addition , I don't know who the manager is but if they move any slower they'd be going in reverse. I don't understand why they have to do the orders actually in order. I usually love this place. But will now never go back. I ordered take out and the burgers were awful, and the fries were saturated with oil! I tried to call them at the branford location to let them know (I was to far to drive back with everthing) and they left me on hold for over 5 minutes each time I called. SO I called the 800# that they give for comments and concerns. Well the woman I spoke with could not care less but promised I would receive a call back, and that never happened and that was three weeks ago. I would have settled for was another meal of the same order, at no charge, and NOT take out. but now I will never go back which really stinks because they are usually right on. We love the occasional Five Guys splurge. Their burgers are above and beyond superior to a standard fast food burger and we love the fresh spud fries that are like fair fries (be sure to have them with some malt vinegar). I definitely enjoyed it. It's been a while since I had eaten at a five guys location. This new location is close to where I live so I wanted to endulge in the calories. While this is by no means a "cheap lunch",or a healthy one for that matter,the best thing about Five Guys,is that it's good simple food that tastes great.I like the free peanuts that you can munch on while your food is being prepared.Fresh,never frozen beef,and real fresh cut fries.Don't bother ordering the large fries,as they dump extras in the bag.As a result the bags here are always grease-stained.A Cardiologist's nightmare,for sure,but it's fabulous food!Outdoors,they have tables,and my wiener dog often dines here with us as well.She loves the burgers too.Bring that wallet,though.Usually drop about 20 bucks on lunch .But as they say,it's worth every penny read more

This Five Guys has been open for few weeks and we decied to give it a shot since, traveling to the orange and amity locations is quite far.
