dr. Wu is great. She is straight to the point and gets the job done. She's very friendly and personable. She would get 5 stars .. but dear God her reception staff is just miserable. If they're this miserable on the job I'd hate to see what they are outside of work. Whenever you call, it's like an epic chore for them to look for a date or a question regarding your insurance. I've been there when they don't even look a patient in the eye when they walk in. Just miserable. But Dr Wu again is great. But her staff maybe need a course on human interactions. read more

Dr. Wu was a so helpful. I was in so much pain that I couldn't put any pressure on my foot but within a few months, I am back to my old self again and able to run, walk, skip, anything. The front office staff were great and I felt welcomed. The parking lot was always full when I had my appointments but was able to find parking after waiting for a few moments. Crazy, because it's a HUGE parking lot. Definitely no frills but Dr. Wu and staff will get the job done. read more

Well, I almost didn't go to see Dr. Wu because of the one-star ratings. In February of this year. I saw a podiatrist and had x-rays. She determined that I had stress fractures and swelling in my right heel. She fixed the stress fractures, but the swelling was still there. I tried to get a hold of my podiatrist for a month after that, she wouldn't return my calls, so I called other recommended podiatrists. They wouldn't be able to see me for three months, so I gave Dr. Wu a call. She could see me the following week. I went into Dr. Wu's office and was greeted by a militaristic office staff. I saw Dr. Wu. She wanted to see my foot x-rays. I told her I didn't have them. I had called the previous foot doctor numerous times to get them, but she wouldn't let me have them. Dr. Wu had a member of her office staff come in. They asked a few questions. FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER, THEY HAD MY XRAYS ON DR. WU's computer. WOW- her staff may not be the most personable people, but they are EXCEEDINGLY efficient! Dr. Wu is a very strict, tell it like it is doctor, which I really like. I brought in several pairs of shoes. She showed me which ones to wear and which ones not to wear. She assessed my problem, gave me a shot and, for the first time in two years, I have no swelling pain in my foot!. She was even able to schedule a follow up appointment before my planned long trip.! When I get back in the fall, she will have me start physical therapy to make sure that this pain never happens again. In short, if you want to deal with nice office staff and a friendly inefficient doctor, go somewhere else. If you want your problems solved, go to Dr. Wu. Dr. Wu's office staff are the most efficient office staff I have ever met, and that's what counts. Dr. Wu herself has a strong personality, and she takes care of things! read more

Dr. Wu is a podiatrist who has two offices in the San Gabriel Valley. I wheelchaired my wife for her foot and ankle pain and found the office quite efficiently run and clean. I would recomment wearing a face mask however, as it's still flu season, as you must go in elevators and halls with sick people. I found the good doctor fast but explained the reason for the pain and diagnosed the pain through both x-ray and off-site MRI. The whole office visit was less than an hour and good news for healing in time for our trip to Hawaii in April. Such a nice experience! read more

My first impression of this office on the phone was not good! The receptionist was rude & unhelpful. At the time of our appt, she was no different. As the person that patients see first, she should be kind and welcoming (I know because I work in healthcare as well). The medical assistant that helped us seemed nice but also kind of rude. The doctor took her time with us and explained things to my elderly mom. She was patient and kind and gave clear instructions. Unsure if we will go back because of the office staff. read more

Dr Wu is an amazing podiatrist. Unfortunately her front office staff's manners are more than lacking. My mom is from the south so manners to me are as natural as breathing. The office staff had none. My 2 year old nephew has more manners than these adults. read more

Staff in front incredibly rude. Cynthia from front desk is a major issue with this office and was very condescending. How is she chosen as the front desk representative? Dr seemed nice but stressed out. Hope she comes to her senses and finds another person to help with the front, can see this becoming a major downfall for the office and dr wu's legacy and brand. Extremely unhelpful and rude. Got a stress fracture and she said it wasn't anything and when I came in again with a friend to ask if she could check it out more, she rudely said the same statements that it wasn't anything and sternly scolded: "it looks like your friend gets it; I don't know why you don't" and proceeded to tell me to come to follow up appointments to try on different shoes and walk in front of her to see if they fit. I've seen 30+doctors since then due to medical complications that arose from my initial stress fracture and have never been treated so rudely. First time here. At the end of my visit I saw the doctor at the front desk. I asked her if my medication was being sent to the correct pharmacy. It seems like I was bothering her. She was like waving me off to go. It was very rude. I will not be going back. Will find another podiatrist. By the way she prescribed a medication that posed serious interactions if I used it. Dr. Wu is a professional, knowledgeable, humour and caring doctor. Both of my boys diagnosed flat feet at their young age. We went to Dr. Wu's office, and take her professional advise. Now, my boys's situation are getting better. One of my boy who fracture his feet in the soccer practice and complain pain. My PCP said he has no problem, then I took him to Dr. Wu's office. She found out the fracture issued right away. She is so so good and professional. I believe different people has different prospective. I believe it takes time to establish the relationship with the doctor. I never has any problems with the front desk and the nurse. I'm lucky to have Dr. Wu as our doctor. Went to Wendy for plantar foot issues. She was rushing me, talking over me, cutting me off, not listening and overall unhelpful. The only thing she could do was give me a work restriction after EIGHT hours! As a restaurant server, I can't work over 6 hours anyway. No help whatsoever and a big waste of time. If I was Chinese like everyone else in Monterey Park, I'm sure I would have gotten what I needed. Zero stars read more

I went to Dr. Wendy Wu for a consultation and she diagnosed a mass underneath my foot. I've been to other DPM but have been misdiagnose for plantar wart. After many years of walking and placing pressure on my foot, I've decided to have it surgically removed. She explained what will be done before surgery. I went to several post-operative visits and she was very caring. My mass was finally removed and healed beautifully. Now I can put pressure as I walk without feeling something underneath. read more

Worst experience I've had with a doctor. I went to see Wendy Wu a few weeks ago, the receptionist took my insurance information and told me I wouldn't have to pay anything unless I got x-rays. Wendy came in and talked to me for less than 5 mins, gave me some 10 cent heel pads and left. A few weeks later I get a bill in the mail for $157!!! The original bill was $250 and my insurance paid $93, I called the office and they transferred me to some really rude and aggressive lady that said the receptionist was wrong and I had to pay the $157 when all she did was give me some 10 cent heel pads!! It was a complete sham of a doctor's visit, she represents everything wrong with American doctor's greedily overcharging patients and even lying to us about the charges. read more

Dr. Wu is a great doctor and very experienced. My daughtor got a warts on her foot. Dr. Wu explained very carefully and did a treatment on her foot. The wound of the warts just followed exactly what she said, and is completely healed now. Just 1 treatment, we don't even need a follow up visit. I will recommend Dr. Wu to anyone I know who needs a Podiatrist Doctor. read more

The reception lady is the rudest person answering the phone. I grew up in Monterey Park, but man the receptionist needs to learn to have some manners.
