I came in for a follow up on an avulsion fracture in my right foot with a missing bone fragment, imaging that my primary care doctor ordered after I had a CT scan at the hospital. I expected Dr. Edmond Lee to actually review that hospital report and CT findings before forming an opinion. Instead he barely looked at it and told me I was wasting my insurance company's money by getting the imaging done in the first place. That is an incredibly dismissive thing to say to a patient dealing with a real, documented fracture with a missing fragment, not some vague complaint he gets to wave off. He did not take the time to actually walk me through what was going on with my foot or explain his reasoning when I had questions. It felt like he had already decided what he thought before even looking closely at my file, and I left with less clarity than I came in with. If you want a doctor who will actually read your records and take your imaging seriously, I would look elsewhere. 1 star. read more

Seeing Dr Lee was like a breath of fresh air! I was fighting plantar fasciitis for about a month. Yes, I know why did I wait...because I kept thinking it would go away? So I went to see Dr Lee and presto, all gone! Reception was kind and ready with my paper work. When I was called into a room, Dr Lee arrived within a few minutes, diagnosed the problem and I was way home within 10 minutes! Dr. Jimmy Lee administered Laser Treatment for my Toenail Fungus in Arcadia's office on 08/23/2022 promising that a new healthy nail will re-grow completely in 12 to 18 months. Now it has been 28 months, and I am still waiting for the promised new healthy nails. In fact, after the procedure the infection on my nails get much worse. I suspect that I was further infested with fungus from unsensitized equipment using during the laser treatment. I don't recommend this procedure read more

My dad was seen by Dr. Jimmy Lee, who was nice and did a great job of taking care of my dad for his needs. He prescribed the right medication and asked to see my father again in two weeks for an update. This podiatrist is located inside the Medical Offices across the street from the Arcadia Supermarket. Another pair of narcissistic sexist douchebags that thinks they're a lot smarter than they are. Neither DPM in this practice can read any CT, X-ray, or MRI imaging themselves and rely on incomplete reports from radiology. They should know feet well enough to know what they're looking at in imaging of the foot, don't you think? I saw each doctor in this practice once and would never waste my time or insurance money again. I can't believe they got to charge money for their uselessness, and even harm done by too much pressure applied too hard during first examination with Dr. Jimmy. Then with Dr. Edmund said he didn't believe my prior DPM who said that I needed an exploratory surgery and took it further to say that "he" had lied to me. Assumption that it was a "he". Actually 2 prior foot doctors had said so, one male, one female, though neither do the surgery themselves. That's why this referral was supposed to be a step up to a more highly qualified foot surgeon but it was no step up at all. Also assumed that I have poor circulation because my feet happened to be cold to the touch and looked a bit purple. Must have also assumed that I was lying when I said that I had soaked in cold water before coming over to reduce inflammation. Too arrogant and impatient to hear me out when I was trying to say that I have already been tested for circulation with a Doppler and other tests. I have neuropathy but fine circulation. Checked my feet later that day after the effect of the cold water wore off and they were normal color and not cold to the touch. Hmm. I'm not complaining about not needing surgery if that's in fact the case. I don't want the cure to be worse than the disease. But I asked why would 2 other doctors lie to me? He just shrugged his shoulders. Edmund Lee obviously also assumed that I wouldn't heal good from an exploratory surgery due to my supposed poor circulation. The radiologist report didn't find anything so that is just puzzling to me with my symptoms but these doctors sure didn't help it make any sense to me, they instilled no confidence in me that they knew what they were talking about. Said it was just scar tissue, but when I asked if hard scar tissue itself could be causing the symptom of shooting pain, he said "no, that's this other stuff". What does that mean? Did he think I'm stupid or crazy? I'm sure I'm better educated than they are. "This other stuff" is not a medical explanation or good bedside manner. If he thought he knew what the cause was, he should have explained it. They Just wanted to get rid of me out of the office by referring to an osteopath and PT. That's fine because I know a jerk with poor bedside manner who's not being helpful when I meet one. If you have to go to them, I recommend don't soak in cold water before going if you want an accurate diagnosis. Because Dr. Edmund assumes everyone else is lying but him. Doctor was amazing and very informative on the issue I had. Not only that but the team he has such as the front desk ladies are amazing. Coming into the office, I was quite nervous but they're kind demeanor really help settle my nerves. They're very welcoming and funny people to talk too. Visited in Feb 2023. I would give 4 stars to the doctor who's kind and caring. He didn't give me unnecessary treatment instead he provided some advices on daily activity which can address my concern. The reason I am giving 1 star here because the lady at reception didn't have any manner. When making appointment over the phone, she out of blue asked me if i can speak mandarin (it's understandable since majority in Arcadia is Asian) and when i said no she became rude over tone (that made me uncomfortable). On the day I visited, she said "come with me" without calling any name. At that time only me and an old couple were waiting. I asked "Me?". She said yes. She led me to a room, pointed to a chair, said "sit there". Very rude. I don't think it can be an excuse that her English might be not good. I wouldn't believe a front desk employee has difficulty saying something like "please have a seat" to people. Dr. Lee really needs to provide some trainings to his staff about communication and customer service. read more

This is my review of Dr. Lee's Arcadia office staff. I called and booked an appointment over the phone. I confirmed the appointment via their text messages a few times before the appointment. When I showed up for the appointment on a triple-digit hot day, I was told that the authorization expired and I could not see Dr. Lee that day. The staff insisted that they called me four times. I checked my calling records and did not see four calls from the office, only one missed phone call on the day of the appointment. I was upset that the staff did not respect patient's time and lied about calling patients multiple times. I showed my phone's calling records and questioned why I received multiple text messages of confirming the appointment but was turned away when I got there. I really have to write this to thank dr. Lee. and her front desk lady who I think can also speak Spanish. Here is my story, I have been have fungus nails on my left 3 toes for more than 8 years. I have been so embarrassed to wear beautiful shoes which shows my fungus toes. I have spent a lot money and time on buying cream , turned out doesn't work at all. Having fungus does not mean you are not a clean person. It has to be some way to kill the bacteria, I believe in science. So I finally looked it up on line, maybe laser can help. Plus it's not expensive. Worth try to see it myself. dr. Lee told me cream can help with the skin, not the nails. Laser can. Make sense. But I have to see it myself. After one month, I saw miracles. Dr. Lee suggest , not to wear same shoes next day, try to let fungus toes exposed to the air as much as you can. Fungus, nothing to be shamed of, kill it!!! I've been having some foot pain, and developed some bad calluses on my foot about a year ago. I hate having to choose a new doctor, so I kept putting it off. I finally decided it was time for a consult, so after looking up podiatrists off the insurance website, and trying to narrow it down to a few, I decided to call up Lee Podiatry and see how soon I would be able to get in. They have a few locations from the sounds of it, but I requested a morning appointment at the Arcadia office. I got lucky and was able to get in two days later. Which brings me to today. I got a little lost in the parking lot, so I wandered around a bit before I finally realized they were up at the front of the building. I walked in and have to be honest, the office looked old and outdated, and I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. The receptionist was friendly, and I was escorted to the exam room as soon as I was done filling out my paperwork. The doctor came in immediately, and introduced himself, and we got right down to business. Apparently, I had no reason to be alarmed by my feet, and I was basically already taking the steps needed to reduce the calluses on my own. But Dr. Jimmy Lee, was very thorough, and he answered my questions, and explained the functions of the foot and the muscles inside and how they all interact with one another and the reasons behind the pain. He was effectively able to explain the issues and he was also very easy to understand. He gave me some tips to try, the name of a foot cream to soften the calluses even more, some exercises to strengthen my Achilles tendon and offered to fit my feet for special insoles should the advice not work to my satisfaction. Sadly, I had been referring my clients to this group in previous years. My husband also went to see the doctor and he was very nice. With that said, I sent my mom in to get her nails done few months ago. When she came back home, I was shocked. They basically butchered her nails!!! I could have done a better job. They left them all jaggered and sharp. She couldn't put socks on because the nails kept snagging her socks. Now...don't get me wrong. I didn't expect a manicure, but really??? I am too embarrassed to even post the pictures of how my 83 yo mother's toes looked after she went there. Sorry, but this group will no longer be getting my referrals. Bought a laser treatment from groupon, I have problems with a couple of nails only, saw the offer and after reading if that treatment works or not, decided to buy it. Had visited recently for my son ingrown toenail, Doctor lee is good and did his job perfectly but when it comes to billing part, I have been charged almost 50% more on what has been told to me over the phone ( I confirmed the price 3 times before visiting clinic) also before the treatment. While billing when they told me to pay more amount, I mentioned that I called and talked they said maybe the receptionist has no idea about the rate ( keep repeating the same thing again n again) and charged me more. My mom is a repeat patient under Dr. Edmond Lee and has been for the last 3-4 years. Although he is a great doctor (the reason for two stars instead of one), his new staff is rude, disrespectful, and generally just awful. Without competent staff, I can't even get new appointments for my mom, which is both frustrating and disappointing. The original staff, consisting of the wonderful receptionist Joy, did a fantastic job. However, Joy recently left and new staff replaced her. I don't know her name, but the new younger Hispanic receptionist has the worst attitude ever. The first incident I had with her was concerning some insurance changes my mom had. The receptionist consistently was deflective and clearly didn't want to even check whether or not her paperwork had gone through, so she kept telling me she would "check my mom's file and call me back." She said this TWICE on two separate calls and never got back to me. The only way my mom got this issue resolved was by going to their actual office and confronting said receptionist as to why she had been avoiding doing actual work. The final nail in the coffin was recently. I called to make my mom a new appointment, after her insurance paperwork had cleared. The same receptionist picked up and right after I said I was calling on behalf of "my mom's name," she hung up. I called back 3-4 times right after and kept getting sent straight to voicemail. I suspect this was done purposely as their office was still open according to the voicemail's hours and there were no prior issues with their phone lines. How can you expect to even see the doctor when their staff refuses to even speak to you? I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt as she is a new hire, but the level of unprofessionalism displayed by the staff here at Lee Podiatry Group speaks volumes about how much they care about their patients (they don't). I couldn't recommend going here until there was either better training for the current staff or a replacement. Sorry Dr. Lee, even though you're a great doctor and clearly very knowledgeable and skilled, your staff has ruined what good impressions we had of your office. read more

Today I came in and saw Dr Jimmy Lee. He was amazing and answered every single question regarding my concerns. I didn't feel rush upon his visit. He was very patient with me; knowing how anxious I am about my foot pain. I never had a doctor who cares about the health of my foot so much . Before he started my ingrown toenail removal, he removed his sterile instruments out of the blue bag. He guided his steps from keeping me calm since I was nervous. He injected numbing medication and I didn't feel a thing afterwards. He gave a cold spray which helped me feel relief. :D he did his thing and procedure was done before I opened my eyes. I was horrified before the procedure but he made the procedure seem like a piece of cake. I'm so glad my friend referred me here. Overall I had a good experience with Dr Jimmy Lee, every doctor should be great like him. I can't wait to return to my next appointment. Had an ingrown toenail that needed to be taken out that was messed up by a previous doctor at another practice. Got it taken out from this place in Dec 2016 and the ingrown never came back. Only pain were from the shots, but that was to be expected. My toe was numbed well and I felt nothing while the ingrown was taken out. Overall smooth, and quick with no issues on healing. read more

I had an ingrown toenail that I decided to remove myself... with that being said I did not succeed and made things worse. Went to Dr. Lee and he looked at my toe and numbed me up and removed the ingrown nail. I was out in no time. I would have given 5 stars but I didn't like that I called and made an appointment, in which assistants could have verified my insurance, but instead waited until I actually came in. Got a pretty ridiculous bill after visiting Dr Lee a few months ago. This is my first time seeing a Podiatrist and maybe my last after this experience. I had pretty bad foot pain and Dr Lee diagnosed right away I had plantar fasciitis after I described what type of pain I had. He was pretty knowledgeable and told me it was nothing serious and the pain should go away with time. He also recommended me to get a custom made shoe pads to ease the pain even though I told him I already had shoe pads on all my shoes and was already wearing a fully padded Nike air at the time. So basically, the whole exam was done roughly in few mins and no med or treatment was performed. Yet, I got a ridiculous bill from the office. Since the bill came with a lot of medical terms, I called the office for explanation. Below is basically what they told me what each line was charged for.... Dr picked up my leg Dr rotated my foot to the left Dr rotated my foot to the right Dr bent my foot to the front Dr bent my foot to the back Dr picked my leg up to put in the mold Dr pressed my foot down to get it molded May I remind you the above items were billed twice since I have two legs!!! Omg... it's like getting charged from your family dr to have your blood pressure taken, temperature taken, open your mouth and say "AH....." etc... I also got charges for the mold and materials for the custom shoe pads.. THAT I expected to be on the bill but not the above... And this was not the end of it.... a month later I received ANOTHER BILL... I got charged to pick up my custom shoe pads. Yeap... I got charged for getting there myself to pick up an item that was already overcharged.. Not to mention I have already paid for the office visit fees both times. I asked their accounting department if this charge even made sense. That's when they told me, "well, did you see the doctor? If so, we have to charge you for the time you see him" I then told her THAT'S WHAT THE OFFICE VISIT FEES WERE FOR! The line on the bill specifically said "PICK UP SHOE PADS"! I have a big toe joint pain that's been bothering me on and off for about a year. Finally decided to go see a specialist about it and decided to give them a shot since there were plenty of good reviews. The doctor was friendly and professional in his manner. But my biggest gripe is that he barely took a look at my foot or get a history (no x-ray or anything) before he started selling me on a pair of custom insoles. He sounded convinced that it'd the best option to solve all my problems and it costed $350. I was desperate for a solution cuz it'd been bothering for so long up until then, so I took his word for it. It took forever to get it and It didn't help shit. The whole time I was using it, my toe still hurt just as bad. It didn't do anything that he said it would. Half a year later, not only did it not alleviate my pain one bit this whole time, I started having lower back pain because of it. I later went to another doctor where I got an x-ray that revealed that I actually have a bone spur on my joint. I ended up getting a shot for the pain. It gave me instant relief and didn't cost me $350. While I'm sure every doctor would have a different philosophy and approach, not saying that he ripped me off on purpose, he probably did believe it to be the best option, but at least do a thorough examination before you sell me something that I'll never use again for $350. I had an ingrown toe nail taken out in November of 2016. The dr removed the ingrown and burned the root so it would not come back. I had no insurance so I paid cash $300. Well a few days ago I had pain in the same area where the nail was removed. I called to see what he could do for me since it had only been about 4 months. Well there response was I would have to pay again to get it removed once again. I was really sad and disappointed due to the fact it had only been such a short time I had it done. $300 may not seem like much to some people but it is to me and to have to pay it again just seems unfair. read more

Came here for wart removal. Doctors are pretty nice. But the billing is very fishy. I had two visits for wart removal. I was told that I only need to copay $8 for the treatment. I paid $8 copay each time. HOWEVER, they charged me for the office visit the second time but not the first time. I have never been told that I have to pay for the office visit when I was just there for the treatment. The front desk girl said that they would waive the office visit fee when we were here for treatments. How could they double charge me? And they never mentioned the office visit fee once. Dr. Lee is amazing! I had a really bad ingrown on my big toe, and it was starting to hurt while driving. A friend of mine had seen Dr. Lee a few months ago, and highly recommended that I see him for treatment. I was very nervous and afraid because of all the horror stories I've heard and read about ingrown toenail removals, but Dr. Lee was very careful, gentle and quick! Honestly, the anesthetic injection was the worst of it, but even that was bearable. After the injection, all I felt was relief. Recovery was painless and I was up and running the next day!
