I'm very disappointed with how our first appointment was handled. This appointment was scheduled a month in advance, and the only availability was during school hours, so I had to pull my daughter out of school. Her teacher released her about 10 minutes late, which caused us to arrive only 9 minutes after the appointment time. The receptionist told us we could not be seen because it was a first visit and it would delay the whole schedule. I understand offices need to stay on time, but there was no flexibility or understanding for a child who had been taken out of school for an appointment that was already difficult to schedule. I was told I would need to bring her back on another school day during school hours. After waiting a month for this appointment, it was very frustrating and inconvenient to be turned away over 9 minutes. And i don't like that when I call they don't answer the phone. Dr. Weinstein has been caring for my brother every 2-3 months for routine nail trims, and I can't say enough about the kindness and professionalism she brings to each visit. Horrible experience. We got referred by the pediatrician to this office. We got an appointment at 3:30pm on Monday. We arrived at 3:27pm to check in. The first thing I heard is "can you come on Thursday?" I was confused by the question as this was our first time. I asked why and was told because "you don't have the form, you need to fill in the form". " what form? " she showed me the first time information form. I told her I could fill out the form now. Then she talked to doctor and told us maybe the doctor could see my kid at 4:30pm. I refused and asked her why she couldn't see us at our appointment time. She couldn't explain and said " I am just doing what I was told to. You can wait until 4pm if the next patient doesn't show up". Then she asked my copay. I told her never mind she can cancel our appointment and we will never come back to this office. I waited a week to write this review so that I could be more calm and rational. So whoever made an appointment with them, I sincerely hope you don't get this treatment. read more

Dr Weinstein was very nice, patient and experienced. The root of my toe nail was painful for months, she taught me how to take care of it instead taking medicine since I'm nursing. The pain/infection went away within couple weeks. even though it takes time to heal, I'm truly thankful for doctors help. read more

Dr. Weinstein is our family podiatrist. She's super cool. The staff is well versed in insurance and treat the patients kindly. Talk to her about anything and she will always participate in the conversation. Other doctors don't react and just "do medicine." She listens and will exhaust all treatment before suggesting surgical intervention. My Mom is her patient. That is how the rest of us came to Dr. Weinstein. Our family are all patients of Dr. Weinstein. She never runs late. The waiting room is never full. Plenty of parking. What more could you ask for in a doctor?! Highly recommend. I have never met a podiatrist as good and caring and funny and professional as Dr. Phyllis A Weinstein. Last time I saw her was about a year ago. Well it's because she did such a good job taking care of my issue. I went back to her today for another issue and I'm sure I won't see her again but, I found out I can see her once every two months for maintenance of my issue so it doesn't get worst and would cost much more to fix so, I'll be seeing her every two months for this and also to see her as it is a pleasure seeing her for her professionalism, laughter and good natured Doctor. MAY update: Still have pain, swelling from my bunion foot surgery. Ran out of my sick time hours from my employer for recovery. Need to start using my vacation hours instead. Spoke with the doctor and asked her to write me a medical note for my employer to stay home couple more weeks. Went in to see her but did not write me the medical note but gave me a form to go get x-ray and asked me to come back in couple days to review the x-ray result?. I got the x-ray but no medical note to extend my recovery time off for few more weeks even after I told her I am using my vacation time hours from work for recovery. read more

FIRST APPOINTMENT ... EXCELLENT FIRST IMPRESSION It was an unusually rainy day in Los Angeles County and I had a morning appointment. The waiting room was empty and COVID-19 precautions were in place; distance from the reception desk, clear/colorless guards on the reception desk counter, and ample hand sanitizer. The paperwork was extremely easy to complete and I gave them my ID and insurance card for their records. The doctor did ask about the source of the referral. I told her that I was impressed with what I had read on YELP. I did not tell her that her office was conveniently located from where I stay or that it has easy access to the I-10 freeway. The exam room was very clean and the nursing staff had made all of the equipment available for use. The doctor spoke extensively about my condition and asked a good deal of questions about my overall health and general foot care/foot hygiene. She described the conditions to me, told me of treatments and their respective success rates. I was not given the golden goose. I was told that there are medications that could take 48 weeks until they are effective. She mentioned over the counter remedies that are popular and she also mentioned therapy that did not include medication. The care of the encounter was extremely high. I was not given a hard sell and was advised that I was welcome to return if I deemed it necessary. She instructed me on how I could maintain good results with self care using a few simple, inexpensive tools. I would strongly recommend this provider (and office) for any pedal care needs that you might have! :) read more

My dad went to get his toe nail trimmed and came back with all swollen toes. Dr. Phyllis used a tool to over shaved his toe nails and they are all red and swollen the next day (see pictures). She is a doctor not a manicurist and she should have professional knowledge not to over trim her patients. Very disappointed! read more

She is and awful Dr. and very unprofessional. She started by being late to our appointment. The office is old and dirty. It needs to be remodeled. Her rooms are smelly. She did her examination and send me for some x-rays. She said she would call be in two days. One week went by and she never did call me. I called the office. She was not able to give be a diagnosis. Then she was upset at me stating I had complain of a different pain location. I been having the same pain for 4 years. She was out of line. I will never return to her office. I am seeking s second opinion. She should not be Dr. She has horrible communication skills. Very disappointment. read more

My very first visit with Dr. Weinstein was a very pleasant experience. I arrived a half hour early, filled out the proper paperwork I was handed by her staff and I only had to wait about 15 minutes. Her bedside manner was pleasant. She introduced herself and went to work to remove the ingrown toenail. She was very gentle but professional. I was impressed because the last podiatrist I had gone to prior had performed "minor surgery" just to remove my ingrown toenail, but Dr. Weinstein did not do that. The whole procedure lasted about 10 minutes or so. She even filed the dead skin from both my feet as an extra service.I would definitely refer her and would call her for another service in the future. Her staff were pleasant as well. read more

Dr. Weinstein has treated my feet for the last three years. That is three years of pain prevention due to her professional skills. I am prone to ingrown toenails. She heads them off at the pass every time. I am diabetic. Dr. Weinstein always ask about my blood sugar readings, gives advice about proper diet and makes it clear that if I experience foot pain, to call the office, state that I am a diabetic, to get an appointment ASAP. The two times I needed that level of attention, an appointment was made for the following day. The office is always clean, appointments scheduled to avoid COVD19 crowding, the reception staff professional and courteous. First class, all the way. One sour note, parking is usually just available from the street. It never has been much of an issue, space usually available directly in front of the office, but some folks are picky, so I want to be fair and balanced. read more

I had my first appointment yesterday. The appointment was made less than 24 hours due to a cancellation for my child. Dr. Weinstein and staff were all professional, patient, and kind. Dr. Weinstein made my child feel at ease and that's so important. Best of all, they carry feet cushions in the office so that this mother does not have to run out and search for some. They inserted into the shoes for my child and allowed the child to test it out. So convenient! I would recommend this place! read more

After reading some of the trash reviews I felt I needed to give my input. If it weren't for Dr. Weinstein ability to assess and remedy what was going on with my left foot, the 6 week, round the country vacation I just finished up would have been a disaster. 3 days before we were to leave I went in for my appointment. I assumed this doctor I'd never met would examine my foot and I'd then be told I'd have to come back for a different visit etc. Instead, Dr. Weinstein examined my foot and revealed to me the depth of a callus that had grown to the extent that walking was extremely painful. She whipped out a knife which made me think I was about to get some pain and then have to heal in 3 days for my trip. Instead, nothing. There was some pressure and no pain, no blood no nothing. Then she whipped out her Dremel, not Drexel like that single star reviewer said, she whipped out her Dremel and went to town on my foot. I cannot fully express how amazing the instant relief was. I was walking around, jumping up and down and ZERO PAIN! I had been limping around for about 4 months!!!! Why didn't I go in sooner?!?!?!? Thank you so much doctor. So, why only 4 stars. well, quite honestly, the receptionist. Both when I called and when I visited the office the women that worked there were not nice. The woman at the front desk wasn't even nice to the lady before me, so I know it wasn't cause I'm a guy or something. But I am willing to totally overlook her in order to strongly recommend Dr. Weinstein and her expertise. read more

I called this afternoon to try and make an appointment for new orthotics, I was asked by the person that answered the phone if I had insurance, I answered that yes I have UHP, she than told me that I had to contact my insurance carrier to see if they covered orthotics, and if they did to call back and make an appointment. I visited Dr. Weinstein for the third time. My first visit was . . . Well. . Okay, but I got the feeling that I was taking up her time or something. The second visit was not very much better and I was greeted with "So, why are you here??" which, again, made me feel like I was taking up her time. This time I needed to go, so I looked for someone else, but couldn't seem to find a good recommendation, so back I went. Today was somewhat better in that Dr. W greeted me with, "Gee! I haven't seen you in 6 months!" I replied that I wasn't sure how often I should schedule visits. No real answer there. After her treatment, and brief discussion of my problem, she mentioned one of the assistants would be in. Trying to make small talk or any kind of conversation was futile. Monosyllabic answers were all I could pull out of her. that's how this office is...very distant, and not welcoming. Dr Weinstien is a good practitioner, but her office needs Customer Service Boot Camp and Dr. Weinstein needs to sit down, listen to my problem, and then look you in the face and answer. Dr. Weinstein is sooooo Wonderful!! I have been her patient for a year now. Could not be happier with Dr. Weinstein and her Staff! My toe has been a problem for me, but Dr. Weinstein has dealt with every issue with it wonderfully. On Fri. 8/7/15 I was called to make sure I did not need anything for the weekend. I was at work at the time, she left a detailed message for me with how to get a hold of them and the hours for Mon. morning 8/10/15. I was soooo very impressed by this experience. Upon my first visit I found the office to be dirty and in need of a remodel. The receptionist was pleasant but not extremely pleasant. I was the only person in the waiting room and while waiting a medical assistant walked into the receptionist and stated "who is my next victim"? After taking me to the room she proceeded to take my blood pressure with a wrist cuff, after the reading appeared she said "you know this type of cuff is not as accurate, if your blood pressure is a little high I guess your primary doctor would tell you, right"? Very unprofessional and lacking proper medical education. Dr. Weinstein's exam wasn't any better, she barely touched my feet. I also noticed that she had some sort of white dust all over her scrubs which looked very gross, as I come to find out it's due to using a Drexel to file the bottom of peoples feet!! EEEEEWWWWW. A paper surgical gown would be an appropriate choice to wear during this procedure and to remove it after she is done with the individual patient! NOT wear it into the next patients exam room!!!! I was told my problem was probably due to lack of potassium and the type of shoe I was wearing. Not a good exam in my opinion as I have been to another DPM's office that was extremely professional, took xray's of my feet on my first visit and the Doctor actually took an interest with my concerns! I would not recommend Dr. Weinstein's office. read more
