Don't trust them!!! They sold it with a string holding the oil pressure sensor together, now I have more problems from their lack of thorough inspection. They reassured us they checked it out but there was string holding it together. Bought a used suburban last year, put 10,000ish miles on it. Now it's in the shop, and the mechanic could not believe he found it with a string on it to make it work. And because it was not working properly it has caused more problems. When we bought it they agreed to fix bad breaks and rotors, and replace dirty fluid. All stuff that should have been caught in inspection. Then four days later I was stranded with my kids with a bad two years expired battery. They did pay for new battery. They should have seen all these issues in their vehicle inspection! We called Wendel and got a run around, transferring us from one dept to the next. No one could say anything. They never even asked for our name! Don't trust them!! " Swindle at the Y" read more

I took my truck in for repair work and asked that they take care of it as there were tools in the truck bed boxes. This had been the case when the truck was there overnight before, so they had kept it inside the building after hours and there were no problems. The truck was ready the following day, but I had surgery that day so when I spoke to the service advisor he told me not to worry about it, the truck would be safe there until I could come back and get it the following week. On picking up the truck, not only did the front end not get fixed, but they had left the truck outside all weekend and everything in the bed had been stolen. When I confronted the service manager he told me they had been having trouble with vandals roaming the yard the previous week and had chased a few off. He even mentioned that they had a homeless person that they caught sleeping in the back of one of their box vans. With all that going on they still didn't bother to keep my truck inside, or even mention to me that there was a known problem going on that I should be aware of. Very poorly managed and they obviously don't look out for their customers in my opinion. That was made very clear in how this was handled. The upper management says it's just not their problem and I am on my own to replace the roughly $6700 worth of items stolen. Apparently there is some fine print in the service paperwork when you drop it off that they are saying means they have no liability for anything that happens to your vehicle, regardless if they are negligent. And by the way, the issue with the front end of the truck is still on going and I have to wait another month to get it back in. read more

I took my 2010 Ford Taurus in for service today. I was quoted a price for the work. I didn't want the fuel injectors cleaned. I was asked about the cabin filter I asked the price the serviceman said 24.99. I said fine. I got an oil change as well. The total cost ended up being $442 as they didn't tell me that the cabin filter was a $50 install and they charged 22.73 to dispose of the oil. These two charges were not quoted! I was lied to, taken advantage of! I have purchased several cars from here I won't be back! read more

After unsuccessfully working with Wendle Ford Service Department managers and Wendle administration trying to get our new car fixed from vibrating between 46 and 52 mph, we ended up taking the car to two other creditable service departments to assess the car. The car was deemed unsafe to drive and met the 30 plus days in a service department thus meeting the Lemon Law requirements. This could have all been avoided if Wendle Ford would have stood behind the car in the first week of purchase. Please remember that ads on the tv or newspaper are just ads. Went to wendle after getting two shops put in writing that the problem was a part under warranty( I bought the car at wendle) they denied this and said they needed hundreds more to find the problem, than reved up the engine with parts not put back on ,damaging the car.I had them take it off the lift, didn't ok any future charges and took it back to my guy and original problem was gone.WARNING the mechanics work on commission!(meaning the more they say it needs,the more they make!) The dealership received 3 stars unlike Faheem's 5 star because there was some credit coming back to us from a warranty that was not exhausted and instead of asking how we would like that returned to us they put it towards the cars down payment without asking, I found this sleight of hand trick shady and that dropped them into the average car dealership bracket because thats what any average corner car lot would do. . . . . . and not a stand up one. read more

I have a 2002 Ford Thunderbird, and took it here for service. I was visiting my family out in Spokane - being a Western Washington native - and the engine threw a Check Engine light while I was coming over the pass. Uh oh. This was accompanied by some chugging sensations - I suspected a misfire. I managed to limp on over to Spokane, as on a Sunday night, nobody was open. Monday morning, I took the T-Bird over there, having nightmares about them not having the part, hosing me for a giant bill, or any other shenanigans that you typically see with an auto dealer. Not only did they have the part in stock, but they were able to diagnose and fix the problem on the same day. My T-Bird is very rare - only perhaps 80,000 vehicles with that engine were ever sold in the States - but they still were familiar with the model and the problem. I can't speak for others, but they made me able to get back home. I'm happy. read more

Where do I start? Not surprised to see they average 1 star, if it were possible to rate 0 stars, I'm betting that's what their average review would be at Wendle Ford service. I've had several bad experiences. The first was a couple of years ago when I scheduled an appointment during my workday to have my rear brake light replaced on my brand new Ford Taurus SHO. They told me it should take about 30 minutes so I told them I'd wait. So 2 hours go by and finally someone comes to get me. Sweet! After 2 hours what was supposed to take 30 minutes is finally done! Uh, No. They just came out to tell me that they needed to order a part and I'd have to come back next week. The service guy Manny didn't seem to have a clue as to why I would possibly be upset about missing work for over 2 hours only to be told that nothing had been done and I needed to come back after they got the part in. Neither did the service manager Ken, who couldn't "manage" his way out of a paper bag. Then, most recently I took my car in for 2 reasons, 1. The front air dam had been torn off by a curb. Completely my fault and I expect to have to pay for that. 2. The rear spoiler is loose, completely not my fault and I don't expect to pay for it. Should be covered under warranty. For issue number 1 I get a call saying the part and labor to replace the front air dam will cost me $488. From looking online I know I could get the same part for $70, but I want it fixed. 2 hours for labor to install a part that clips in? Seems outrageously high to me. This is where the previous reviewers comments about their mechanics working on commission really started to get my attention. It was later in the day, and I wanted my car back, so against my better judgement, I authorized the work. Now, the rear spoiler that's loose, you guys are taking care of that for me today through my warranty, right? Their reply, we have to take pictures and submit to Ford and see what they say. Ok I say, I'll wait for your call. An hour or so later they call back to tell me that now their quote to fix the small piece of plastic on the front of my car has risen, it will now cost me $588 because I was misquoted, they needed another part for it. And the rear spoiler, I ask? We can't cover that. Ford says the bolt breaking off inside of the spoiler most likely was the result of a "severe impact" even though none is evident anywhere near the rear section of the car. I told them that I purchased this car from them for $47,600 a little over a year ago, I also purchased my wife's car there for almost as much. Either they take responsibility for this minor repair and fix it at their cost, or I will never buy another car from them again, I will never spend another penny in their service center again, and I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know that they shouldn't either. (All said in a surprisingly cordial tone i might add). The service guy asked me what I wanted him to do? I told him i simply wanted Wendle Ford to stand behind the poorly manufactured car they sold me for just under $50k. This comes by the way from a guy that actually owns Ford stock and believes in the company and products they manufacture. At least i used to. I told him I'd like him to share my message with his manager, and let that person decide if repairing a $10 bolt out of their own pocket was worth the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue over the next 5 years. He said he would. Then shortly afterward I got a call from my old friend Ken, the service manager, telling me its not their responsibility to repair the spoiler because there was obviously "severe" damage done to the spoiler that must have caused it to come loose. Now I'm panicked. What type of severe damage happened to my spoiler when it was parked outside of the dealership the night before? I've got to see this horrible damage for myself. I race to the dealership and after wiping away some rain, noticed a tiny scratch on the spoiler about an inch long that didn't even go all the way down to the paint from a time when I barely scraped the spoiler with a putter taking my golf clubs out of the trunk. About 3 months after the spoiler had come loose I might add. His idea about why the spoiler was damaged was nothing but a fabrication to get out of providing quality service. You've lost at least 2 customers forever over a $10 bolt or $2 of epoxy. Nice business model. So i take the car down the street to an independent body shop where they quote me $100 for the part, a 1/2 hour of installation time, not 2 hours, and a total price of $200. 1/3 the price. I tell them what i was quoted at Wendle and he couldn't help himself, he literally laughed out loud. And the rear spoiler, they'll fix that for me at no charge with some epoxy down in the bolt. All I was looking for. They now have a customer for life, and they don't have a fraction of the revenue to earn from me as Wendle used to. read more

This review addresses the Service (or lack of) Department. We took our 2016 F-150 in for a scheduled checkup/maintenance. After we made the appointment a week in advance, we noticed that the outside air temperature gauge works only intermittently (likes to register 65 when it is 92 outside). We checked in and mentioned this to the fellow at the check-in counter. When called to the counter, we noticed nothing was noted about the malfunctioning instrument and asked what was found. Answer: "We're backed up today and don't have time to check it out." Additionally, on our way home, a warning light told us the tires were low. Were they not checked and rotated? Stopped at "our" tire store for air. This is our second Ford pickup, but will not be returning to Wendell. Love the truck, but there are other dealers who can provide service for their products. read more

I went in to have airbags replaced on my Mustang and was harassed, stalked, and argued with over a new Pickup that I didn't want, need and couldn't afford. Sadly I finally gave in at the end of the day just so I could get away from the damn salesman, Robert Barr. Worst mistake of my LIFE bar none. Just know that there will be no help once the salesman bullies you into signing your life away. There is no cooling off period, no buyer's remorse legislation to protect you. There is no way out except bankruptcy court. Insultingly the major ordeal I went through was called "negotiations" except NEVER AT ANY TIME was I negotiating to buy a damn new pickup. I already have a Ford Dually that does the job, which the Nissan cannot do.  Not only am I financially ruined, but I'm ashamed of being such a weakling that I couldn't endure the pounding I got from the salesman, AND HIS COHORTS. It's been a couple of weeks and I'm still upset and crying every day. I can't believe I let a salesman destroy my life. Oh and btw I have zero intentions of driving that vehicle. Anybody want a smokin' deal on a short sale of a 2018 Titan? It has only about 100 miles on it! read more

Make sure to pay very close attention to the numbers if you get your car financed. They will tell you one thing but it will be another. For instance. They changed mine from 3 years to a 6 year without me noticing. They increased the price of the car during negations and increased how long it would take to pay it off while telling me they were giving me x amount for my trade it which is why they were telling me the monthly cost went down during negotiations. I have also had nothing but issues with the service department. When I bought the car it ran fine during the test drive but literally before I even drove it off the lot the car made funny noises and and windows stopped rolling up. It took them 6 weeks to fix it and I had to go up there 3 or 4 times. That was a 2 hour trip one way each time! I would wait 5-7 each time and according to my dash cam they only worked on it for half an hour to hour each time. I do not recommend. I still feel like something sketchy was going on here as when I did my work on the car I am still finding things out about it that their mechanics should of found out and fixed. For instance I have found rocks in the spark plug wells, I found wrong coolant added to the vehicle, I have found multiple rust spots that have been covered up with cheap paint. Cigarette burns in the seats that were covered up. I also found out a recall notice on the vehicle even though they stated there was no recalls on the vehicle! I am probably forgetting a few as the list keeps growing for this vehicle. Everything below this is an edit to my review as I forgot to add a few things. They not only had to fix the windows not rolling up but their were also rocks in the manifold. They claim that it was in the discount item because of potential problems but they were selling it for blue book value of a good condition truck. That is why when they said they were giving me X amount of my jeep to lower the cost of the vehicle down I agreed since the jeep was not worth X it was worth less. Turns out they were increasing the loan term and DID NOT TELL ME. The loan term on the final paperwork and the one they SHOWED me before I signed the final paperwork was different! They also didn't tell me that was the discount section. They just said lets look at our other lot. Apparently their was about $4000 worth of taxes and fees on a $17000 vehicle. When I tried to contact them about getting a repair history on the truck they hung up on me multiple times! They only answered after a few days AFTER I emailed them demanding the history. Again I found recalls on the vehicle that they stated didn't exist! They will use every trick to get you to pay more than they make you believe. I would not trust these guys or the responses I read from the person replying to these reviews. I would post some more showing a little bit of how the numbers were off but every time I do it triggers the spam filters do to all the math I post. read more

We were treated horribly here! My husband and I purchased a car about two years ago - at 100k, the PCM (main computer) went out... Not Ford's fault - but the customer service we got when trying to get it fixed was atrocious. First, we called the service center. When we called to schedule, they told us $120 for the diagnostic... When we went to pick the car up, it was almost $300 - apparently it was $120 + tax every time they open the hood, and it took 2 days for them to tell us it was the PCM. Then they quoted $2k to fix!!! They claimed it was $1200 for the PCM, and the rest was labor. A little automotive class here: The PCM sits under the hood, basically under the windshield wiper (at least in my car). It is 3 plugs and 2 mounting bolts to disconnect - took my hubby all of 10 minutes to find and uninstall it. Anyway, we bought the PCM for $400 from an independent company in Florida, spent $50 to have the key reprogrammed, and another 10 minutes to put it all back together. They tried to hose us for $1500 in my eyes!!! During the whole process of working with the service center, we visited the sales department as well, because we wanted to look at maybe buying another car. The sales rep was insulting, rude, and short - she even made a comment about going to the "bargain lot" (that's the lot they send the SUPER crappy cars - the place doesn't even have the Wendle Ford name on it - it's just called Bargain Lot). The first crappy car we bought from them (the one described above) was not from that lot, which she could see - so I don't know why she would assume we couldn't afford one from the "real" lot. After we told her we had money to look at a good car, and make a decent down on it, she still acted this way. She then handed us her card and said, "Well, I'm off today anyway, so I can't help you," as she took her purse from behind her desk, and walked off. WTF?!?!?! At that point, we just left in disgust. read more

I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service I was recently provided by members of the Wendle Ford sales team. I am new to the Spokane area and was in the market for a certified, pre-owned, F-350 Super Duty Truck and contacted Wendle Ford about the specs I was looking for. SEAN GALLAGHER, a manager at Wendle Ford, contacted me very quickly with a truck that met my requirements nearly exactly. I sat down with Sean and DAVE LOW and we went over the details of the truck and what I was looking for. I think it is important to note I have purchased several cars over the years and currently have the "big 3" US automakers sitting in my driveway (good, bad, or indifferent, you be the judge) as well as some foreign makes. Bottom line, I've had more than a few dealership experiences. Sean and Dave took the time to listen to everything I wanted and source the aftermarket modifications I requested in a manner which wouldn't void the warranty. Additionally, there was none of the "typical" sales tactics I had encountered over the years. I found myself feeling as though these guys were on my team as we sorted through options and the like. I especially appreciated their candor when I asked for their opinion, receiving honest opinions rather than the party line (to increase the sale price) which allowed me to make informed decisions. Finally, when it came to the test drive, after the normal paperwork, they handed me the keys and encouraged me to get a very good feel for the truck and to take it as long as I needed. Dave said he was available to ride along if I liked otherwise they would see me when I returned. After I purchased the truck, Dave spent AT LEAST 30-45 minutes going over all the operations on the truck (and there are many) to ensure I was up to speed and ready to go before I left the lot. Additionally, they followed up with phone calls and emails in the following week to ensure the truck was performing as expected I was satisfied with my purchase. There was a recall on the airbag on my Infiniti, the pamplet I received advised that I would need to contact a dealer and get it replaced. I called, spoke to a lady who told me "We have to order the airbag, it takes two weeks, we will call you when its here". While on the call with her she was a bit frusterated, maybe at the fact that I do not have to pay for anything, so Im not a paying customer to start. Also, its been almost 4 weeks and I havent received any communication. I know its free labor, free part, but this is a saftey issue and I need it addressed immediatly. read more

Purchased a 2017 F150 Lariat in December of 2017. Sales staff (Don Morris) was helpful and the sale went thru acceptably and we're satisfied with the cost and follow-up on the purchase. No issues there. Their parts department (and part costs) leaves a lot to be desired. The vehicle we purchased came with a tow package but without tow mirrors. Wanting to add those to the vehicle, we thought to go back thru Wendle to buy at a local business before going to the internet. Called parts and got a quote of $1150/mirror for a part I can purchase via the net for $750 and $650 (FL3Z-17683-AF & FL3Z-17682-AF). Huh? Okay, I understand a bit of markup, but when I can purchase the part from a Ford dealer in Michigan for $400-500 less, I'm not going to go local. You'd think they'd understand the internet makes finding these price discrepancies *very* easy. What would have been an easy $1400 sale with a minor markup was just lost to another Ford dealer. So while Wendle might be suitable for the initial sale, you might want to look elsewhere for reasonable part prices. read more

My wife and I went to buy an Explorer. The sales consultant told us several times it was a "Certified Pre-Owned" vehicle with the bumper to bumper warranty expiring no sooner than March 2018 and a 100,000 mile/7 year power train warranty. After going to the Business Manager, who was very rude to my wife prior to us going into his office, we were told it was not. The current warranty expires in 10 months and that is all it has left unless we pay for a warranty. The warranty that would have been similar to the warranty we were promised costs an extra $3200+. So we then spoke to the sales manager who told us he would talk to the general manager and call us back. We have not received said call and when I went up there to pick up a few things my kids left behind, I was told the general manager was at the auction. When I finally hear back from them, after I called several times, they tell me they can't honor the deal with a warranty. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. read more

Brought it in to have it looked at because I was having problems with my AC unit on especially hot days. I probably should have just walked away after talking to the guy at the counter. I described the problem to him and it was clear he wasn't listening, he had no follow-up questions and wasn't making any kind of notes on what I was describing, deciding to schedule me for a "tune up," and just kept reiterating they'd look at it during the "tune up." I figured/hoped maybe it was a common enough issue that a "tune up" would take care of it. When I was called at the end of the day letting me know the vehicle was ready, I asked if they were able to nail down the problem with the AC, the guy on the phone just said he wasn't the one who worked on my car. So came and grabbed my vehicle, I ended up arriving after closing so no technicians were around, but the forms I received on the work had zero notations of the work that was done. I was given a vehicle health report form that is meant to note information on my car etc (mileage, tire tread, brake pads, fluids, etc), but with the exception of cursory vehicle information (make, model) it was completely blank. All I got as a reflection of the work was a bill saying they performed a "tune up," with no clue to what that might entail. For all I know they just parked the car for a day and gave it back to me. And no surprise, as soon as the temperature crept back up a few days later, the AC issue with my vehicle continued exactly as it had before. I have zero faith that any repair or even investigation was performed on my vehicle, the blank vehicle report form I got back at the end of the day makes me wonder if anyone even looked at my car. In retrospect I'm not sure why I was scheduled for a paid service ("tune up") when what I needed a diagnosis and recommendation for repair, so end of the day I ended up paying for a tune-up I didn't need while still needing a repair on what it was I had actually brought my vehicle in for. read more

I brought my Ford transit connect to the dealership to repair a leak I had in the sliding door as well as a problem with the CV boot. I had a morning appointment and dropped the car off at 0730 I was told it could take all day to do the repair on the door and several hours for the CV boot. When I spoke with the service rep the following day they said that because of the delay due to bad weather, the part had to be delivered from Portland it would be done "after lunch". So 3:20 p.m. rolls around no call so I call and am told the phones aren't working and apparently neither was his phone the car had been sitting over an hour. I pick it up drive it off and not even a mile down the road I hear a screeching sound of metal on metal. It was pretty loud inside the car but when I rolled the window down it was deafening. The CV boot was a warranty repair done on a FORD at a FORD dealership, but what I thought would be routine maintenance as no real diagnosis on there behalf had to be done, I told them what the problem was they only needed to fix what I said was broken. They apparently cannot handle this, so now my wife and kids are going on over two days without the family car and its because of sloppy incompetence and a lack of professionalism just not doing the work right. My grandfather retired from Ford after 30 years, I love Ford and this is nothing but a disappointment. How could I ever count on Wendel Ford mechanics doing a real diagnosis of a real mechanical or electrical problem since this CV boot warranty repair is more than they can handle and thats not counting the repair on the door they "said" was done. read more

I just want to give a kudos to Chris at Wendle Nissan. I went in for a 'check engine soon' light on. I had gone to a "competitor" the day before and they wanted to charge me $90 and no service person would come out to talk to me. Chris spent a good hour trying to figure out what was causing the problem (there was no problem, they just had to reset the light) and they charged me NOTHING. I live in Spokane Valley but I plan on bringing my Murano all the way to the northside just because of the excellent service I recieved at Wendle. read more
