Blu-Shastin RV Park is extraordinary…read more... * Not only because it is a 12-acre RV campground nestled in the midst of the Cascades Mountain Range just 15 minutes from the international tourist destination of Leavenworth, WA... * Not only because it has a sparkling swimming pool next to its clubhouse AND a creek that runs along the property. The place is most extraordinary because of the owner/manager, Dave Haase, who makes the place just as enjoyable and refreshing as all the natural beauty and amenities of the property. We first visited here when my tween & teen were just toddlers on the lawns at Blu-Shastin RV Park many summers ago, and our stays have become an annual July tradition ever since. Dave, as all pleasantly discover after meeting him for the first time, is as easy going as a summer breeze on a carefree Saturday afternoon. His quick smile warms the room, and welcomes all like they alone are the good friends he's been awaiting. As I sat alone in his old time clubhouse, tapping these observations into my smartphone, he actually walked over between customers, just to chat.... "Everything OK?" he asked, with a gentle smile while pointing two thumbs up toward me... I put down the phone, and didn't tell him I was noting the truly unique beauty of his establishment and his management style... He just wanted to be sure I was having a good time at his place. Our conversation turned to something he never talks about: himself, and only because of my persistent questions. Turns out he spent many years working in the Caribbean, before owning eight other campgrounds, and then he settled on buying Blu-Shastin. That was some 25 years ago. Yep, all is well here.... thanks to this beautiful location, and Dave's Caribbean-style way. As of today, July 1st 2020, among all the COVID-19 protocols and concerns... Dave's way and kindness were particularly appreciated. We camped at Blu-Shastin RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Plus your automobiles can be parked within eyesight on the 2nd level. You can walk almost everywhere from here. Walking to the local Safeway might be a tad too much for most folks though, especially if you buy a lot of stuff. I drove to the Safeway for a bottle of liquor and soda chaser, for example. I will drive to a fresh fruit stand also. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast also. The very fluffy biscuits seemed home made and the sweets(cinnamon rolls and a walnut something muffin) also appeared to be done locally. I enjoyed my cinnamon roll. Coffee was excellent, not watery. The meat protein varied and was also surprisingly very decent, not to salty. The breakfast is better than at most Hilton properties, IMHO. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is wonderful as you can walk to the Leavenworth village in just a few minutes. The room was comfortable, the bed plush and plenty of pillows to choose from. Although there was an adjoining door, thankfully noise was not an issue during our stay. We had the complimentary breakfast on our first morning here, which is a nice perk of staying here. I liked the omelet with onions and peppers. The food was OK overall. We got a margarita pizza from the pub restaurant which was good. It's nice to have a food option available right in the hotel. Went into the pool once - it's located outside. It was refreshing to cool off. The size of the pool is on the smaller side, and so once people come in and get noisy, naturally it isn't so relaxing. Would've stayed in longer, but oh well. The first night, my family member told me that our room was out of conditioner and she used the little bit remaining, and that we were also low on shampoo. I went to the front desk and requested more shampoo and conditioner. The desk attendant said you just had to push the container hard (there are dispensers opposed to individual travel-size bottles). I went back to the room and only got a few drops of conditioner to use. The following day, we asked a housekeeping team member to check our dispensers. She ALSO said you just had to push the dispenser hard. But when they came to our room later that day, we saw that the dispensers had been filled up because finally there was product in each and plenty to use. Not sure why it couldn't have been fixed in the first place, and it was assumed we weren't using them correctly. Once we checked out from the hotel, my family member remarked it was strange that the person at the front desk just promptly took our two room key cards and didn't say anything, like briefly asking how our stay was, or simply just a quick 'thank you' for staying here. Maybe it was just particularly busy.... but something like that can go a long way.

Almost everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly, and cheerful. Food- 10/10! I hate eating out and I was thrilled with the choices amd quality and amount of food you got. Yes I know the hotel is pricey, but I've never stayed at an inclusive resort where the food was this good. Fresh, seasonal, fun... all the things! Loved the dessert bar, although it would have been nice to have a few more options with chocolate:) HOTEL/CLEANLINESS/ROOMS- GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got in last minute over the first weekend of October and spent 3 nights in a balcony room facing the river with a fireplace. What else could you want? The entire hotel and lounging areas are so comfortable and beautifully maintained. SPA- Didn't do any extra treatments, but we did use the main spa area nightly and on our last day. Fun for a change! Lots of options! Spa staff was over the top sweet! Fresh towels, robes, water, tea.... felt soooo pampered! CONS (not too many) Service- There were a few staff members who probably need an attitude check. When guests are paying almost 1k a night, all staff should know the answers to your questionsls, and no we shouldn't feel rushed to leave you alone so you can continue your conversation with your co worker. Maybe a staff training on customer service should be on the monthly meeting? FOOD- NO COMPLAINTS HERE! HOTEL/ROOMS/CLEANLINESS- While our room was very nice, there were a few items to note that we're a bit run down. The bathroom floor had stains, the actual bathroom itself wasnt that nice despite the marble tub, and the shower took forever to get hot. The room was also very hot and we couldn't lower the temperature. We ended up sleeping with the balcony doors open. It would also be nice for them to have water stations on each floor, as you needed to walk downstairs to get water (and you definitely want to stay hydrated after spaaing all day!) SPA- my biggest issue was the water and room temps. Not hot enough. While I have never utilized a spa resort, I am used to using the steam room at my local YMCA, and going to a local Korean spa in my area. The temps here are way too low. I sat in the "hottest" steam room for 40 mins and left because I got bored. The hot tub outside was fine for 5 minutes, then my body adjusted and it felt like a bath. The "heated" marble and water beds never heated up. In the evenings when we went there weren't a lot if people- so it wasnt due to the doors being open a ton. For me, yes it was nice, but definitely not as therapeutic as I need. The extra scents and ideas are lovely- but with everything being "warm".... I was underwhelmed especially for the price point. TIPS FOR 1st TIMERS! 1. Go on a week day and pay the extra fee per person for early/late use of amenities. Save some money, enjoy the food and spa, and leave within 30 hours all for under 2k! Id ask about this when you call to book to see the pricing as Im sure it changes all the time. 2. Bring extra water for your room (if youre like me and dont want to keep walking downstairs to fill up.) 3. Go during the poopy time of year, or during the snow. I will admit I am not a lounger, so we did a ton of activities during our visit outside of the hotel. If you come to simply be here- cold, wet, rainy and/or magical snow time is where its at to truly hunker down and get your money's worth. If you cant sit still or relax- this isnt your place. 4. Call and check the website daily if you want to go sooner than later. They book out months in advance, but I snagged a cancellation within 3 weeks! Overall would I go again.... depending on why and when- YES! Would I make this a yearly trip.... not for my style of vacation. I've stayed at some VERY nice places, and while the Post was lovely, I cant say it was FAT travel. My 40th Birthday spent here was such a fun adventure and worth it... but if youre into 5 star exclusive perfection, the Post still has a few details to work on. Thanks for the great stay- see you in a few years!

The pictures on the website do not do any justice to how beautiful this place is, NONE!! As reluctant as I was to share my experience because I wanted to keep this place a secret (lol), I just had to! Keep in mind, the ambience of this Inn is part of Leavenworth so don't expect it to be completely modernized or contemporary. The staff were very nice and friendly. Always smiled as we passed through. The amenities available during your stay, was great! There are many more things available/ additional areas to this place that I didn't access during my stay. The dinning area is very clean and large with many windows to view the back of the property as well as, the snow capped mountains. The rooms are quite big and bathrooms are huge. Both very clean! The beds and pillows were soooo comfortable. In the room, there are ACs and a door that leads to a small balcony with a patio table and chairs for the outer rooms. This area isn't a personal-ish space because there are no walls separating the other rooms and during our stay, we did not experience other patrons utilizing this access to enter nor exit therefore It wasn't an issue for us at all. The upper floors have access to the stairs going up or down to the parking stalls. I, personally, did not feel it was a security issue at all. No noise issue at all as well, very quiet and peaceful. I was able to checkout the family/game room and it is large with everything they say is available. There was nothing impersonal about this space even though It's a shared space. The 2 lounge areas make you feel like you are at home. We actually sat in the lounge area on the second floor to relax and figure out where we were going for dinner. I've seen families having lunch and others just doing their thing. The lounge areas were kept clean. Couches were comfortable too. We were in walking distance to the promenade and never felt unsafe. In summary, I really needed much RRR and the Enzian Inn did it for me!! Everything was perfect!! All that I experienced here, was intentional and I felt important.
