Unfortunately, AHS decided that Salcido would do the repair. They were okay but weren't as communicative as Shane had been as far as telling me what was going on and how things would be fixed. Salcido finished the job - using a different thermostat than what Shane had installed during his initial visit. The A/C worked so no problem - except it kept switching on and off on auto mode. I thought that the thermostat was more sensitive or something so I didn't pay much attention. Then I got my electric bill and about had heart failure. It was huge! It was nearly double what it had been for the same month during the previous year. Thankfully, I had saved the thermostat that Shane had initially installed and put it back on. No more on and off cycling and no more huge bills! I definitely wish Shane had been allowed to do the entire project. As I write this, it's now three years later and the heat is out. I've done all I know to do and have submitted a claim through AHS again and got the message that Shane will be contacting me for the repair within 24 hours. I will be crossing my fingers that he gets to handle the entire project!

They worked quickly getting things resolved. In short order, the water was gone, things were cleaned up, and fans set to dry it all out. He was very thorough and checked areas of the basement we hadn't thought to check because there was no visible water intrusion but the sensor was picking up moisture so he put a fan on it. Their quick response, clean up, fans, and expertise were well worth what they charged. They followed up and double checked how things were going a couple days later. Very happy with them!
