So I wrote a pretty negative review regarding Wellspire (see review dated 4/25)...and I meant it. Shortly after I posted it, one of the owners reached out to me, several times in fact, to speak with me about my concerns. He apologized and confirmed that my complaints were "dead on". He told me about all the changes that he'd already implemented, in large part, because of my review. Employees now have name tags and uniforms. Private information is only discussed behind closed doors and they're retraining staff. How about that? It's not every day that an owner makes such a effort to improve after a complaint. He wanted to let me know that my concerns had not fallen on deaf ears. Now THAT is customer service. So, I wrote another review and gave them 5 stars because I value honesty and integrity when correcting mistakes. Thank you, Dr. Mehta and Torri for reaching out and making a concerted effort to address the issue. I may try them again in the near future. read more

I can't believe how bad the customer service has become at Wellspire. The focus is on making as much money as possible and not on patient care. I am not sure the owners or doctors understand the Hippocratic oath. We really had good experiences in the early days and the last year has been horrific. Dr. Kaushik has been my Dr for over 13 years and he's my general doctor. I totally recommend him for anyone needing care whether it's you know seniors or children just whatever but he's located in Humble and very very nice person. Very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Came here for the first time today and was very impressed with how much of a struggle it wasn't! I have a visual impairment and sometimes establishments can give off uncomfortable vibes. Not these lovely people though! They were all courteous and professional and made me feel good about going to get checked out! read more

I called this place and scheduled an annual exam. I received my annual exam and was in and out in no time. Months later they mail me a bill... months later... Incorrect description on the invoice, error from the nursing staff and now I have to pay the price... I am one and done! Never ever going back to this place for any medical needs. read more

I went to see Dr. Ismael Diaz for a small case of toenail fungus on one big toenail. Dr. Diaz prescribed me terbinafine 250 mg. I took it for three weeks and the big toenail with the small case of fungus popped out. It bled al over. I was able to stop the bleeding and cut the nail at the base. I went to see a Podiatrist and she said to stop taking terbinafine 250 mg because she did not see any presence of fungus and terbinafine 250 mg may have contributed to making the nail pop out. A week later the other big toenail without any fungus also popped out, but I could not stop the bleeding. I went to the emergency room and the Doctor cut the nail and stopped the bleeding. He asked me what I did. I said the only change was taking terbinafine 250 mg. The emergency Doctor said that was not surprising because terbinafine 250 mg in 50% of the cases expels the toenails, even if they do not have any fungus and should only be used in severe fungus cases, where the objective is to expel the nail. He said I should contact the Texas Medical Board. Now I do not have the two big toenails because of the incompetence of Dr. Ismael Diaz. I also had the annual Medicare check-up with Dr. Diaz. Dr. Diaz only asked me a few questions for 5 minutes and that was it. No blood or urine test at all. My wife just had her Medicare check-up with another Doctor. She had a complete blood and urine array of tests. It seems to me that Dr. Ismael Diaz is not only incompetent, but he doesn't care about the health of Wellspire Medical patients and impacts the excellent Wellspire rating. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Ashley Davis. For the first time i have someone who listens to me and helps me make my health a priority. She's incredibly caring and informative and I am so glad I have found this office and her specifically. She's the absolute best! read more

Dr. Chou is such a huge jerk. Would not listen to me. Treated me like I was stupid. Didn't believe the things I was telling him about my own health. He was so condescending and didn't even care to understand what I was saying. Made me start crying and didn't apologize or even care. Absolutely do NOT visit this practice or the Wellspire in Humble. They only hire doctors who will treat you like garbage. All of the nurses are very kind, but the doctors all suck. read more

I love Wellspire Medical Group, particularly Jenna Babin who is a caring, sensitive, and knowledgeable healthcare professional. I am able to book an appointment within days (one time the same day) and never wait more than 10 minutes to be taken back for my appointment. I appreciate the kindness of all the staff including the front desk personnel as well as the medical technicians. Lady at the front desk was absolutely rude. Long brown hair, heavier set woman, and talks like a valley girl(long and drawn out and nasally voice) in case you don't know what valley girl sounds like. I came in trying to figure out what I need to do in regards to getting blood work done asap because I amProne to ectopic pregnancies and I need to check my HCG levels. My midwife friend that lives in San Francisco told me that this facility should be good to get lab work done. I tell the woman at the front desk I am new to the area and have no primary care doctor at the moment then she proceeds to say, without even looking at the books, the doctors are fully booked until end of June. Sorry - we can't help you. Well, obviously I am trying to get in somewhere just to check my levels as soon as possible. The Lack of care and lack of concern for the well-being of others when you work at a health care facility is very concerning in itself. I'd highly advise avoiding this place. My well being didn't matter and I doubt anyone else that comes here would really be well taken care of due to the front desks lack of care that was demonstrated. I recently got a new job and new insurance, so I visited the dermatologist at this location. She told me that they would only remove my moles if I agreed to have them sent to a lab. Even though I am nearly 50 years old and have never had moles turn out to be anything other than benign. This turned out to be $100 extra in lab fees, but I agreed. The trouble was that 10 months later I was CONTACTED BY A COLLECTION AGENCY for my outstanding balance even though I paid my copayment at the time of my visit and the lab fees that were hilled separately. Come to find out, the balance bill was never delivered because the medical group did not have my correct address. Instead they had my correct street address but the wrong city and ZIP Code! So this bill was clearly returned to them as undeliverable yet no one from the office ever called me or corrected the address! Instead they just turned it over to collections in an attempt to ruin my credit! It is outrageous to treat your patients with so much disrespect! And I would not recommend this business to anyone.. read more

Absolute worst place to seek medical attention!! VERY long story short they missed two Teladoc appts. thinking they were in person. I was working in San Antonio for one and then in Houston where I live. Even before the appointment I spoke with them and I was assured they would CALL me for my appts. @11:30! They did call me some 25 -40 minutes later asking "where was I?" These appts. were simply medication management appts. One medicine you can't just stop or the real possibility of getting very sick or dying existed When I called asking what happed now 7 times no one, not even the Dr. will call me back, had to go to the emergency room to get just a few of these pills. They could careless about their patients. I even tried calling my Dr. Dr. Diaz in Atascocita and he never returned my calls! Get another Dr. They don't know what it means to care and have completely forgotten their oath! read more

I have been a patient at this Provider clinic for many years, and recently had a situation which caused me to move to another local doctors office. I get a routine each year at Wellspire in atascocita. I meet with the PA - because they in my opinion are just as good as the Docs and most of the time they have much better bedside manner... We covered health history, and current meds that I am on (only one thank goodness, but it's a really important one). The PA confirmed what pharmacy I needed to have the refilled meds sent to - and then the rest of the routine physical finished. I was expecting to have this PA e-scribe my important meds to the pharmacy of my choice, but no... they still still not yet filled because "I am required to come back in (yet again) for a medical refill doctors visit to Wellspire..". what? you all just told me that you were going to refill my meds during the routine physical. still without my very important meds... not sure if this is a way that this Providers Clinic does this to get more insurance billings, or if this is systemic process for all providers(?). now I need to take off another day from work, and then pay yet another co-pay... am I missing something? read more

I went to Wellspire Medical yesterday for a skin scan with a dermatologist; I have been getting these for years, as I lived in Australia for 25 years and they recommend a scan every year. I moved back to the states in 2003 and have been getting them here since then. The "scan" I got from Dr. Ikpeama was very superficial and incomplete. She did not even look at my chest, neck, feet, backs of legs and thighs, etc. and what she did look at was a quick scan with her eyes, no special light or anything. Approximately 5 minutes in and out with her, although her PA said it would be a complete head to toe. I believe in preventive medicine, and this does not qualify. I had specifically asked for a dermatologist in the area as we had moved from Florida last year, and this was not in any way satisfactory or anything like we received in Florida where they are primarily dermatologists and not located in a "spa" for facials and botox, etc. I won't be returning. If you are looking for a Dr. and not special treatments for wrinkles and aging, I'd suggest you don't go to her. read more

I started going to this doctor right before they moved locations. I'd been looking for another doctor because my last doctor's office had outgrown itself and the service wasn't the same. Which is what I find myself facing yet again, with Wellspire Medical Group. I have held on the phone, waiting to speak to a nurse for 15 minutes at a time. I've had to call back to the front desk, only to get transferred back to the number to hold again. Then my pharmacist tried to call for my prescripts and still no answer nor return call. Due to COVID-19, I've been temporarily laid off and my benefits on hold. But when my benefits are reactivated, I will be going to another doctor's office. They need better patient/customer service or more staff to handle their busy office. read more

I've been with this practice since Feb. 2020 and I have never had an issue getting an appointment. I learned quite quickly the difference between an appointment with the doctor and a nurse's visit. Dr. Ismael Diaz is awesome. I went in for a few illnesses and he eased a lot of my concerns right away. Also, Ashley NP is good as well. I'm biased. I like the providers who get me in and out. I'm quite familiar with the healthcare system so I'm the patient who goes to their appointment with specific requests. However, if it's for something I don't know much about I'm confident in their ability to provide quality medical care. You can't go wrong with this place. The girls at the front aren't always the most cheerful but after watching what kind of folks come in there acting like a d*mn fool. I get it. I probably wouldn't be smiling either dealing with folks that wanna walk in acting like teenagers throwing temper tantrums. read more

I can't speak for Wellspire personally, but I am a former patient of Lily Smolinski back here in Oregon. I feel obligated to write a review for her based upon my personal experience. Healthcare providers these days are expected to spend only a few minutes at a time with patients. Despite this imposed limitation, Lily was always very thorough. I have no doubt that she really cares about her patients. After 4 years of troubling health issues, Lily was the first and only medical professional that helped me figure out the root causes of my issues. I'm so glad I found her and that she was able to help me. While I'm sad to lose her as my PCP, I know that she will be a great asset to any facility where she's employed. She's kind, compassionate, competent, and prompt. Thank you for helping fix the bulk of my health issues, Lily. I wish you luck and happiness in your new endeavors. read more

Dr Odi has been treating me for almost a year. She is very knowledgeable on topics that many PCP usually aren't, including psychological issues which make it easy to use her in conjunction with my specialists. She takes into account finances, has great bedside manner and will listen to you and take time with you. This last appointment I had many issues to cover and she spent a full 45 minutes with me. She is a great first line of defense as my PCP. read more

Brought wife for physical. Appt was set 36 hrs prior to be seen not by Dr, but by PA, Asst. Courteous reception. Made to wait 41 min not counting 10 prior arrival. No communication for delay on this visit. Waiting area clean and fresh, not busy & there were no emergencies. No reason offered for delay when inquired (interrupting outbound calls for appt confirmations). Likely to seek out another closer practice, although Dr. Diaz has been a good doctor. Started coming to Wellspring when they were 1st tenant in new location. That was then and this is now. It seems the practice has had turnover and become less attentive. Perception is it's becoming another patient numbers mill, churning HMO numbers. read more

After having several bad experiences with doctors I finally found a group that is knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I see Dr. Tejas Metha at the Humble location and must say that I am quite pleased, so far, so good. They are also state of the art, where they have EMR, which I love, because it allows me to get my office visit and lab results, with a click of a button which makes it really convenient. The staff also calls to give test results. I never have a really long wait time, when I'm at the office and I really can't beat the service. I recommend Wellspire to everyone who's looking for a special doctor's office. read more

My first primary care doctor was found here when we moved to Texas. We went two years without any problem, and then I had a life-threatening incident with a newly prescribed medication. I returned to Wellspire yesterday to see a diabetes specialist in hopes of getting some meal plans and food training so I can stop struggling so much with my BSLs. To my surprise, when I checked in for my appointment I was told I had a credit on the books that amounted to approximately $70. I haven't seen any doctor in this group since 1/2017. What gives them the right to withhold my money for a year? I think they owe me a year's interest on my money. BTW, if you like young, uncompassionate, inexperienced doctors, and don't mind being a guinea pig, this is the place for you. Oh, and don't forget their accounting practices leave much to be desired from my personal experience. read more

Dr. Mehta is an excellent cardiologist and he shows concern. You are not just a number with him. The office staff is so personable also and willing to assist. I was so impressed that I chose Dr. Koushik as my PCP. I met him in the hallway and he took the time to talk to me. I recommend this office to all. read more

DON'T HAVE YOUR FACIAL FILLERS DONE HERE! Dr. Chinelo Ikpeama is inexperienced and not qualified to preform the fillers. She quotes the wrong pricing and I'm not sure what she injected but I had absolutely no improvement. I had high hopes for using this group since they were close by but it's worth a drive to go somewhere else where you actually get your moneys worth. The office tried to say that my "after" picture showed results but that was only the swelling from the very painful procedure that had just been done. Two weeks later the very purple bruises are finally gone and I have no signs of improvement. read more

This place sucks. Hard time getting someone to pick up the phone for an appointment. That should've been my first clue. Then they tried to charge me for a routine physical even though I get a free one through my insurance, which I had given them in advance. I had a mid-morning appointment and had to wait over an hour. The doctor (Diaz) just told me to open my mouth and peered inside without using a tongue depresser, looked in my ear, listened to my chest/back in 3 places (didn't even have me remove my shirt) and then told me to lose weight. 240 bucks is the doctors fee. I'd be pissed if my insurance didn't pay for it. Won't be back. The lab is offsite. So you have to take another hike out there. Not at all convenient. And they have you sign some b.s. statement saying we agree to talk it out and notify them if we don't like their services or don't want to come anymore, etc. Really weird. On lab tests ordered, it said no fasting required but the lab person said I needed to fast. Ugh. And there was no order for urinalysis. That was a first for me on a physical. read more

Never had to wait, always get the appointment I need, and sometimes same-day appointments. I also like the fact that I can see the dermatologist; the internal medicine doctor; and get your lady parts checked out at the same facility. They offer a full staff of other specialty doctors in addition. From check -in to check-out I am there at the most 30 minutes. I see Dr. Odi and Dr. Egesi; they both take the time to listen to my ailments and are compassionate when evaluating. Medicines are sent straight to my pharmacy. Although lab work is not done in the office I am sure it is in the works as this place is new, well-staffed and organized. This is one of the best doctors' offices in the Atascocita area. ( I have been to more than a few - searching for the right one) read more

Saw the P A for a broken finger, ordered X-rays. Everyone was kind, listened and seemed knowledgeable. My office wait was minimal and the front office staff seemed very professional. The waiting and exam room were clean and when I also ask to get my flu shot they were great. The nurse gave me one of the most pain free shots I have ever received. The only issue was that it took till Friday to get my results and my fracture was a avulsion fracture and needed to be seen by an orthopedic luckily they referred me to Dr Jordan who was able to see me pretty quickly. I see Dr Wang as my regular physician in their Humble location and can't say enough great things about him. Got my husband who was having issues with his high blood pressure medication not getting him to target numbers straighten out quickly and he just can't say enough good things about him as a physician. read more

Staff of this group are very kind and helpful. I never have had any problems with getting an appointment, checking in, nor waiting for a long period of time. I see Dr. Odi and Dr. Egesi at this location and they are very polite and knowledgeable. They are very attentive to you while in the room.
