I can only say great things about everyone here. I will write another review after a few weeks. I literally and figuratively speaking feel like I am in good hands (no pun intended here) I am normally a very nervous person when it comes to medical problems but I really relaxed, and feel listened to and I can completely trust and know I am receiving the best care.

I have been receiving occupational therapy here following hand surgery, and the therapist treating me is also the owner of the practice. During my appointment, she voluntarily shared a story about a former patient who used pronouns outside of "he" or "she." She stated that she refused to use those pronouns and expressed that she does not respect people who do. She also commented that her daughter is "too much of a stickler" for LGBTQ+ rights. This conversation had nothing to do with my treatment, yet it was brought into a healthcare setting where patients should feel safe, respected, and welcome regardless of their identity. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I found these comments deeply disappointing and offensive. I also have family members who use they/them pronouns, so hearing a healthcare provider openly describe refusing to respect a patient's identity was unsettling. Everyone is entitled to their personal beliefs. However, when those beliefs are expressed in a way that signals certain patients may not be treated with the same respect or dignity, people deserve to know before choosing where to receive care. If you are non-binary, gender-fluid, or simply expect your healthcare providers to respect patients' identities, I would encourage you to consider this experience before choosing this practice.

The treatments include calming the nervous system through specially filtered music and then bringing 3 body systems together, the auditory, vestibular and the visual system. The approach trains the brain to pay greater attention to auditory frequencies associated with language and learning while tuning out unnecessary stimuli, allowing for greater and faster body integration with focus on learning. Treatment outcomes allow for increased auditory and sensory processing, socialization and skill-building for a wide variety of clients. This benefits people with sensory-motor, neurodevelopmental challenges, persistent mild brain injuries and those with trauma related experiences. We are taking pride in holistic one-on-one medical care in a controlled and safe environment. We value quality of service which thrives for optimal patient-goal achievement using decades of research in Occupational Therapy and fundamentals of the Polyvagal Theory.
