Would they change them - Hell No. Because if they change the medication, they see that as an admission that they were using the wrong medication - SO, keeping using the Wrong One. Proof - I ordered and received the 1,000+ Medical Report after discharge to see what they were actually using. BTW, the bogus list of meds that they provide upon release bares no resemblence to what's listed in the actual Medical Record. And the bogus list included less than half the meds actually used. The same approach for dispensing the wrong dosage for the meds. Better yet, how about NO dosage? At times, NO appropriate medication was used. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worse pain; I was a 10 multiple times after an 8 level fusion surgery. Proof - If you PASS OUT and fall on the floor from pain, after suggesting suicide, that's a 10, period, no subjectivity involved. None. BTW, they get some of the employees to buy into the above approach, particularly the temp contract workers - they'll do anything to stay on the payroll!! And of course, Management knows that! Stay informed, And, stay away.

Physical therapy told my husband and I that I would never walk again and stated that I really neededto be trained to live in a wheelchair. To make a long story Short, I am now an outpatient physical therapy. Though I spend time in a wheelchair, I am learning to walk and will be able to do so with a walker independently. Additionally, the medical Director came to my husband and I and told us that I was dying, and should be placed on hospice. that was two years ago. All of my doctors are completely confused as to why he would've came to that conclusion. When we refused hospice, and refused to accept that I could not be taught more independent living, they discharged me. The facility itself is beautiful. It is clean and well-managed. However, they did not provide what I needed from them. Have they done so, I believe that I would be further along than I am now. Again, the good news is that I am progressing dramatically at this point.

It was arranged for her to go to Lorien Mays Chapel. I am writing to tell you that Lorien Mays Chapel was very disappointing and that my mother dramatically deteriorated there. Although they say the right things and have a lot of staff with all sorts of titles, they are really not set up to manage elderly women with dementia. They put her on a vigorous regimen of PT and OT which wore her out and there appeared to be a complete disconnect between their administrative staff like the dietician and their floor staff. In fact, the latter were more concerned about their break times and getting food from the small luncheonette there than with my mother. Lorien Mays Chapel has a good reputation and I think that for relatively healthy young to middle aged men or women who just need a little PT or OT, it is probably fine. However, for older individuals who need more care and attention, in addition to PT and OT, Lorien is not the place to send them. Seeing my mother deteriorate so quickly at Lorien, we managed to get her out of there relatively quickly - weak, very disoriented, and on oxygen 24/7. After returning back to her assisted living facility where they are better setup for her issues, she is much stronger and active again.

All staff need to wear name tags with LARGE PRINT NAME AND POSITION, facing out please. Residents are not showered with adequate frequency.

It is such an emotional process when parents give up their home to move into more long-term retirement care. The help we have received cannot be calculated in mere dollars, as it has been invaluable. We too compared other care facilities and none measured up to CC standards and quality of community. It is truly a gem of a place located in the lovely town of Carlisle, PA.

My grandfather has been there for a few weeks recovering and receiving rehab for a few different reasons and my family and I could not be happier with how he has been receiving care thus far. The entire staff from the social worker, to the therapists, and his amazing nurse are all very responsive and they give great updates. His nurse, Theresa, makes sure to keep in contact with us as a family and updates us frequently on his condition. She has been such a Godsend. She is sweet and patient with him, and I could not ask for better. This has been an awesome experience, and I could not be happier.

If you hate waiting go early. As more complicated cases come in during the day, the 15 minute time slot allowed doesn't always work. By the end of the day your wait time can be an hour or more, but early in the morning they are on time.
