But the Dr. came in the room and put 3 stitches in my hand to close my wound. Like I said, even he was kind. But the work is pretty bad. The stitches were very loose, and poorly secured. Within 2 or 3 days the knots were coming undone and the wound had reopened even with the stitches still there and "tied". I now have a deep crevice in my hand that I have to wait weeks for it to fully heal from the inside out, all because the kind Dr. in there cant stitch and tie a functioning knot correctly. was told to come back in 14 days to have stitches removed, but now 12 days later and 2 of the 3 have fallen out on their own because the knots finally came completely undone so I just pulled them out, since a piece of string threaded through my hand isnt doing anything.

My family was mortified and felt helpless. Drs. Fraley and Sandlin were horrible. They were patronizing and told me:"It's JUST a hernia." My primary care said: "Yeah, they really need to improve." I found Dr. Renee Sandlin to be dismissive and unkind, and it appeared that patients' concerns were not treated with the seriousness and dignity they deserve. It was particularly troubling to witness behavior that came across as mocking or insensitive toward individuals in vulnerable medical situations. Rather than prioritizing patient care, the atmosphere seemed focused on processing patients quickly and generating billing. As a result of this experience, I no longer feel safe or confident seeking medical treatment through WellSpan. I would rather travel to the next town and receive care through UPMC, where I believe my health and well-being would be treated with greater professionalism and respect.

They really seem to go above and beyond at this place. For example, after the medical assistant took my vitals and exited the room, I started coughing / hacking uncontrollably. She heard me and came back in and proactively offered me one of their free bottled waters, which I very much appreciated. Also, when the PA/doctor later came in and I told her my symptoms and how I had tried to self-treat with some old Rx meds I had on hand (on the recommendation of my mom, who is also a nurse), she actually commended me for doing that, re-upped my Rx, and told me to keep going. Although it was no fun to be sick right before the December holidays, this place made treating that sickness less stressful than the typical urgent care. I give this place 5 stars -- maybe even 6!

He urged that I follow up my visit with a specialist and explained the reasons that it was important for me to do this in a manner that I could understand. I highly recommend this facility for any emergency or when a family physician is not available. My husband had to go in this past weekend for a sinus infection. He was so impressed with the medical personnel who cared for him. She was professional and personable. He said, "She was just great! You can't do a better job that she did. That place is the best!"
