We have now failed two inspections. The first failure was due to insufficient wiring. The second failure was due to loose connectors and because not all of the work performed was properly disclosed on the permit. The inspection failed again as a result. This has caused significant delays to our renovation, and we are now unable to submit another permit until these issues are resolved. Electrical work is a major part of an HVAC installation, and repeated inspection failures are a serious red flag. The crew also left construction debris and trash behind, further reflecting a lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against using this company, especially for electrical work. Look elsewhere and save yourself the hassle of correcting substandard work.

Not only is he affordable, but extremely knowledgeable. He was able to come to my home and do an audit on my system and identify the problem immediately. The problem, I might add, was that another company in town cheaped out on my old unit and not only installed a used unit, but one that is severely undersized. I am so thankful to have an honest affordable local company come in and fix the issues. Most importantly, the turnaround time by Alpine Heating and Cooling was extremely quick. I informed him the day I was ready to proceed, the next day the new unit and parts were ordered, and now a day after that my unit is being installed. That is a two day turnaround time, which is remarkable, especially as it is getting to be the hottest part of the summer and all HVAC workers are swamped with calls. In 2023 we needed to make some modifications to my system but Carolina Comfort was TOO BUSY to address my modifications to the SYSTEM THAT THEY SOLD AND INSTALLED! Too busy to take care of their own 9+ year customer! So now that the system out of warranty by a year I asked them to evaluate it for repair and alternatively to quote a new heatpump. Given the chance to sell me a new YORK system (bottom of the ratings) they proposed to repair my system without properly pressure testing for leaks or testing the compressor. This was after they baselessly claimed that it had probably overheated and would likely only last a year or so, and stating that the unit would only last about 3-4 years max. I am a retired degreed engineer and licensed to purchase refrigerants by the EPA so after I challenged their report they withdrew their offers to do any work for me. Good Riddance!
