Technician Chuckie Hembree was pleasant enough and it's possible he knows what he's doing, but in…read morethe end I'm not sure what was really done with regard to my two AC units being properly serviced. The only tools I saw in his hands were two heat probes that he brought inside of the house, putting one on the thermostat and the other on an output grill vent. The covers of my AC units were not removed, the AC coils/fins were not cleaned, there was no checking of the refrigerant, no shutting off of electricity to check capacitors and such. I do believe these are all things that typically should be done within an annual AC check up?? I never received any sort of written diagnosis report, heck, I didn't even receive a invoice/receipt for my yearly membership payment to Gregg's Heating & Air. I thought the air handler was a part of the annual AC tuneup, but apparently not. My air handler units are in the attic, one being above the master bedroom with access through a 3 x 4' ceiling hatch in the walk-in closet. In preparation for the technician, I had removed the hatch cover and had a ladder set up. This particular air handler and AC unit was installed by Hylton 72 Degrees in 2021, which has since been purchased by an employee of Hylton 72 Degrees and renamed Greg's Heating & Air. I have had water issues on the condensation pan from day one with this unit. Today was no exception, the condensation pan was full! When the technician arrived, I informed him of the water situation in the condensation pan. He brought in a wet vac and in the process of going up the ladder through the hatch what looked like rusty water spilled onto my light beige carpet He apologized, but made no effort to clean it up. Mr. Hembree's wet vac looked to be a three gallon capacity which was full when he came down from the attic. Mr. Hembree stated he got all the water he could with his dry vac and that he felt the drain line was plugged where it went over a wall and he was able to clear it. That the remaining water in the condensation pan would eventually evaporate. After Mr. Hembree left the premises I got another two gallons of water out of the condensation pan with my dry vac. This tells me the only reason Mr. Hembree got all he could with his wet vac is because it was full and he didn't want to make another trip in the attic to remove the remaining water. The service was on June 2nd, I had hoped for a detailed description of work performed via email but as of June 12th, I had received nothing so I called the office. I spoke with a woman who offered no more than the technician when he left. Something to the effect that both units checked out good, performing well and good to go. In my view, there should have been more detail to the service call. I received an email link to do a review of this work, but if I couldn't give a good review, I was asked to submit my concern directly to them, which I did. There has been no response. In addition, I received a solicitation from Hylton being back in business which I immediately reported to the owner of Gregg's Heating & Air. I stayed with Gregg's Heating & Air. I expected more!

We started using Greggs back before they purchased it as Hylton 72. They have been there for us…read moreever since and we're thrilled that we get to support a local business. They come when they say they will, and they always have outstanding customer service. If you're looking for a great HVAC team, then definitely give them a call. Paul Copper Top Cabin
