They were good and then they started making them in a factory, freezing them and shipping them to stores, and they are now terrible. I have been to a lot of specialty donut shops and it always seems like they make crazy flavours with tons of toppings to justify the super high prices. At Zehrs, you can get old school donuts at amazing old school prices! $1 a donut when you buy 6! You can also buy single donuts from the self serve case. I have tried the glazed (think Krispy Kreme original), Chocolate Eclair/Long John (yeast donut with "whipped cream" and chocolate glaze), Glazed Persian (This Thunder Bay remake has no pink icing, just a tasty cinnamon donut), Old Fashioned Cake (needs some nutmeg and a bit more moisture to be perfect), Apple Fritter (decent but San Remo still makes the best Apple Fritter) and hands down the best donut Zehr's offer: the Raspberry jelly filled donut - a super soft yeast donut filled with raspberry jelly (and I mean FILLED) and topped with powdered sugar... my only complaint is it has a lot of powdered sugar, but I just brush it off before eating, so I don't end up wearing it all! Because I don't live in Bradford, I actually order in advance and they are always happy to accommodate! The store itself is a nice store, part of the Loblaws brand, and they are the only store near me that sell PC Caramelized Onion and Balsamic Kettle Chips, which is one of hubby's faves. It's not that far from Hwy 400 for the folks heading up north to the cottage too. I am a fan!

The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I don't require a pharmacy on a regular basis yet the pharmacist remembered my name after only a couple of visits. Impressive. Everyone there is quite informative and if you have a question the person serving you doesn't know, they make it a point to find out from someone else. I don't have a drug plan and was even offered a discount on the already low dispensing fee. I get my annual flu shot here and they are always kind and gentle. Prescription are filled quickly and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else, especially to the larger chain establishments. If you are in the Brampton area I would highly recommend this pharmacy.

I order my plants by late February or March and they are delivered in excellent shape in their unique mailing packaging for May 24. This year I received a text notice to say my plants were being shipped and to look out for them! This is why you need to order a minimum number of plants. When I had a large yard I would get dizzy trying to keep my order under $150. This year for my balcony I ordered the kitchen herb garden. Thirteen plants ( I think) for an unbeatable price. I have ordered essential oils for my laundry spritz water and they always arrive safe and sound. My only wish is that they would print a few uses on the back of the plant ID plastic identifiers, or on the invoice. This is the best nursery ever and the plants are clean, no little travellers!
