my experience with this SDM today left me in a rage. I…read moredropped off a prescription and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I then did some shopping & at check-out was tied up for 15 minutes because I was charged 9.50 for beef jerky that I didn't buy. This took a very long time to resolve, because apparently they have to find the exact product in the store to reverse the charge (which got in the bill god knows how) and 3 clerks were involved in trying to fix it, while a line-up of shoppers waited. Finally got resolved and headed back to the pharmacy, as 25 minutes had elapsed. Was told the prescription wouldn't be ready for another 5. Then the pharmacist Mary came to tell me that the government refused it, because I came in 10 days early. Why they could not have told me sooner I don't know. I plan to move my business but fear that other SDMs might be just as bad.

He takes the time to explain how to take your meds so that you understand what to do when you go home. The shop is clean, neat, welcoming and modern. The location is steps away from a doctor's office that is accepting new patients. The prices are competitive too so you know you are getting a good deal!! Service is offered in English, Mandarin and Cantonese so there are no language barriers which is great for those who speak English as a second language and may need instructions in their mother tongue. Something as simple as getting a prescription filled after seeing a physician requires a hardcopy to be printed and brought over to the pharmacy 5 steps away. My previous experience tells me that this step could easily be skipped if the physician sends the prescription directly to the pharmacy. I noticed that the clinic and physician are better integrated with the clinic than vice versa. I had to relay something that the physician said to me about the prescription to the pharmacist that could easily be avoided (and removing potential medical errors!) if the pharmacist talks to the doctor directly. It feels like I have to run back and forth between the doctor and the pharmacist because both sides don't really talk to each other. The pharmacy appears to be well stocked, particularly for travel medication and vaccines (e.g. yellow fever). The prescription was filled at a decent speed but the pharmacist was clearly overworked. I think the pharmacy owner knows this, because they offer a free McDonald's coffee coupon for you to redeem next door while you wait for your prescription to be filled. The pharmacist is nice and carefully explained the things once the prescription is finally cleared up.

I when back the next morning and I was told to take 2 tablets twice daily one in the morning and one after supper the pharmacy changed the label on bottle. Someone from the pharmacy did call me to apologize.
