My rating is 3.5 stars…read more After work last Thursday, I wanted to pick up some hand cream for my mom. She had cracked skin on one of her hands for at least a week. The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)

Doesn't matter what it is, it is like a right of passage that on any shopping quest, I MUST first step through it's sacred sliding doors into the soft scents that can only be the cosmetics section (rereading that I think I may need some help......) In all honesty, I do think this is a great retail environment and not only because I seem to always need what shoppers has to offer. They really have it right on the retail environment. The layout is great, the visibility is amazing (it's always the brightest store) and the staff is friendly enough. It has everything and the mix of retail and pharmacy is great...what else are you going to do while waiting for the pharmacist to mix all the magical potions and call on the gods to create that coffee syrup (ok I'm not crazy but sometimes I do wonder why you have to wait for your prescription when the doctor wrote down the exact amount and the type...is it the handwriting they are figuring out...it's got to be so we have to shop around right???)? In any event, I am possessive about this shoppers and glad that I got to review it first. If you're ever in the area, stop by, because I swear this specific shoppers has...everything......

I had to wait later than I normally do to book a trip to the Twin Cities. It came down to the final…read moregame of the regular season to see whether the Minnesota Wild would get home ice advantage. It did on Friday night. I booked everything by 2 am Saturday morning. I thought that I was less crazy about being a hockey fan than in the past. Nope. I still put the fan in fanatic. I booked flights getting me to the Twin Cities on Sunday. I needed an antigen test on the weekend. My local testing place does not conduct antigen tests on weekends. Using the same SRx network, I found one in a plaza in Etobicoke, where I frequent Wok of Asia the most. I booked an appointment for Saturday at 3:30 pm, within 24 hours of my departure time. There's plenty of parking at this plaza. I parked steps away from the pharmacy. Oddly, the test is conducted at SHC (Specialty Health Clinic), two doors down from SRx Health Solutions, separated by a walk-in clinic. I walked in and was greeted by Kirsten, who ultimately conducted my antigen test. She was personable and nice. I had to fill out a form before we did the test. All went well. We went into one of the medical rooms. She advised how she was going to do conduct the test with the swab that she had in her hand. It was seamless and painless. I pulled down my mask. She swabbed each nostril for about ten seconds each. Done. I waited for ten minutes while she got my test result. A man walked in and thought that I worked at this clinic. I had to let him know that I was a patient and Kristen would come help him soon. I sat down. He actually wanted the walk-in clinic next door. I can see the confusion having three businesses that are health-related and connected in some way. My test result was ready. She let me look at the report to make sure everything was okay. My middle names were missing and I wanted to make sure that it matched my passport. She was great making the change. I appreciated it, despite her killing a twig off a tree with the first one. The antigen test at this location is cheaper than at my usual place. I paid $34 dollars, a whopping $5 cheaper. This place only accepts credit cards. It has my debit card (it's a Visa debit card, too) on file, so I paid without whipping out my card. Done! I thanked her, and left with my negative test result and my receipt. She sent me a PDF version of my report to my inbox, too. If you do need an antigen test quickly for travel, on the weekend, and at a decent price, come here. It also helps that you get a friendly, competent tester. (135)

It was not my decision to go to this pharmacy, and like many people I do not always love change…read moreespecially when it is out my control. Man was I wrong and I am SO glad that my doctor directed me to go to this pharmacy, they work out of the same building. Anyway, I have my own pharmacy close to where I live for all of my and my husbands prescriptions, and I love them and would never leave them BUT I have to tell you the staff and team at Humber Green Pharmacy are remarkable, they are so caring, they know me by my first name when I walk in, they always greet me with smiles but it is more than that, they care about me as a person. The main pharmacist questioned one of my prescriptions and normally I would get testy about that, but this time I knew it was truly because he was concerned and cared about my health and wanted to make sure everything was good. If you are looking for a local pharmacy, they are right across from Etobicoke General Hospital at Humber College Blvd and Hwy 27, please please please trust me you need to go to this pharmacy. You will be thrilled I know you will, they treat you not like customers but as a friend they really go out of there way to do a great job each and every time you go there. I cannot thank them enough. Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever! Went into the pharmacy,…read morethere was NO ONE else there, waited for 10 minutes just to be acknowledged, another 5 for them to actually start serving me. Then over 15 minutes for the pharmacist to dispense the medication. And when I said, "Excuse me, how much longer do you think this might take? I've been waiting over almost half an hour" - very politely might I add! As I would have just rather come back later and picked it up if it was going to be much longer. He turned to me and starts ranting to me about how "he didn't like my attitude." Thanks for the worst service I've ever experienced. There are hundreds of pharmacies out there, and I will be moving to one of them. Seeing as the workers at this location cannot clearly do their job in a productive manner.
