It is considered to be a part of Agincourt Mall, but is a standalone building. - Use your PC Optimum card to collect points towards free stuff. Last Wednesday, I had dinner at an eatery on Kennedy Road. As I was driving home heading northbound on this road, I needed a Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). I could have visited my local one, but I wanted to try a SDM that I had never been to. I remembered this drugstore that I always drive by, but have never visited. It's the Agincourt Mall location, but it's a standalone store on the northwest corner of Kennedy and Sheppard Avenue East. Eons ago, this corner used to have an M&M's Food Market. It was my first time ever visiting this franchise. It's sadly gone. There was lots of parking here at around 6:30 pm. I found a parking spot fairly close to the entrance and backed into it. I then walked in. Like most SDM stores, this one is set up as expected. You walk through the doors and the beauty section greets you. I needed toothpaste. The oral hygiene aisle was close by. I was pleased to grab a tube of Sensodyne toothpaste that was on sale. It is a large store. It was bright and clean when I was there. I have been using facial wipes lately. I like how they clean my eyelashes and eyelids nicely. These wipes are a party of my dry eye care. I found a package of Nivea facial wipes that were heavily reduced. I grabbed a package. I briefly looked at the vitamin section. A lot of them were on sale. I enjoyed looking at the Easter merchandise and the plushies. Nothing was on sale, but everything was so cute! I checked out the cold drinks. I needed a beverage. I got two bottles of Diet Pepsi. The Diet Pepsi hit the spot as I drove home. This store has self-checkout kiosks. There wasn't a human available. I had no problem scanning everything, followed by my PC Optimum barcode on my phone. I paid with a credit card. I tapped my phone and my payment was done. I like that this store is open till midnight. The hours are much better than my local one that closes at 8 pm. I'm so glad that I finally visited this store. I'd return to this store when I'm in the area. (102)

I am either in this plaza on the…read moresoutheast corner of Warden and Huntingwood to quickly purchase something at this store or walk into the Tim Hortons next door for a light snack. The other night, after spending most of the day with my friend, I remembered that I needed to get a couple of bags of potato chips for a working meeting on Monday. On my way back home (my friend had parked her car in front of my house), I chose this Shoppers to get my goodies. Parking was fine. I found a decent spot practically in front of the doors and we walked in. Luckily, there was a sale on Miss Vickie's chips. I got applewood smoked and regular flavours. Two bags were going for $5. I was so pleased. I went to pay for my purchase. I noticed self-checkout kiosks. Part of me wanted to give one a try. However, I had cash on me, which was different. I paid for my chips using cash. The cashier was cheerful and nice. The customers in this store were odd. One older man brushed by and bumped into me as I was about to grab my bags of chips and leave with my friend. I gave him a stare, which prompted him to apologize. I realize that it's nearly 10 pm. Do your manners disappear then? It's a Saturday night. Do we truly need to rush and potentially knock fellow patrons over? If he had lost his balance, I could understand. However, there was plenty of room to walk around me. I'd come back to shop here when I am around this area. The store is well-stocked and bright. Perhaps I will come here earlier and see what the crowd is like. (226)

Before coming I called in if they received my authorization for refill, the sweet pharmacist over the phone said they haven't received anything yet. So i said it's okay I have an over the phone appointment anyway with my OB so i will have to follow up for my prescription. The conversation ended nice and smooth. When I spoke to my OB assistant, I was told that she faxed the authorization for on Sunday. So i decided to just visit this shopper's. I saw a guy (KEVIN) on the counter. I started my conversation by saying Hi. While trying to think how to explain to him. He cut me off asking "What you need!" In very high and rude tone. I said i just want to confirm if maybe they received my prescription as it was faxed on Sunday. He answered me "If i received it, it should been ready!" In irritated voice. And then he told me " I will get it ready" in a very annoyed voice. (I thought he didn't received it, then he will get it ready???) I was there to asked if they happen to have it, if not i can call my doctor's office, I was asking politely. But all this KEVIN guy gave is his attitude. Very ill mannered, doesn't even considered that Im PREGNANT and on my 8 months and on high risk pregnancy. Is there something wrong of asking? To clarify things? But this KEVIN guy was super rude. I heard him saying " I have a moment" Obviously he has his personal issues that his bringing to work. I think he hates his job, he should resign. I will rather go on farther pharmacy than go back here. He is the rudest customer service I received in my entire life. You know why people go to pharmacies? Because they either not well or sick. Then you will serve by this guy? Instead of getting better you'll die early.

The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)

Doesn't matter what it is, it is like a right of passage that on any shopping quest, I MUST first step through it's sacred sliding doors into the soft scents that can only be the cosmetics section (rereading that I think I may need some help......) In all honesty, I do think this is a great retail environment and not only because I seem to always need what shoppers has to offer. They really have it right on the retail environment. The layout is great, the visibility is amazing (it's always the brightest store) and the staff is friendly enough. It has everything and the mix of retail and pharmacy is great...what else are you going to do while waiting for the pharmacist to mix all the magical potions and call on the gods to create that coffee syrup (ok I'm not crazy but sometimes I do wonder why you have to wait for your prescription when the doctor wrote down the exact amount and the type...is it the handwriting they are figuring out...it's got to be so we have to shop around right???)? In any event, I am possessive about this shoppers and glad that I got to review it first. If you're ever in the area, stop by, because I swear this specific shoppers has...everything......

I found out later, after a lengthy wait on the phone when calling the head office, the store should have refunded or exchanged it, despite it being purchased by points. By the time I went back to do the exchange it was then 3 days after the 30 day exchange period. (No exceptions provided for it being around Christmas.) An employee at the store told me to call the head office and get a code for an exception. I called the head office, again waited a while, then talked to a rep who had no clue what code the store was talking about. The head office said they'd look into this and will call me back--and that's the last I've heard from them. lol. I'll know have to take the $80 hit but I won't be buying presents at shoppers again. It's difficult to manage 30 day returns during Christmas and they don't seem to have any flexibility--or, if there's any flexibility, the employees at this location were not aware of it.

I prefer going to a standalone store if I can. I have noticed this Shoppers Drug Mart on the southeast corner of Victoria Park and Sheppard avenues for years. I decided to give it a visit. I had no problem finding a parking spot. The lot is behind the store. It's set up weirdly. The main entrance faces Sheppard Avenue East, so you have to walk around the building from the parking lot to get here. There is one set of main doors to get in and out of the store. You get an additional door after it when you enter the store and before you exit the store for good. I noticed a sign for flu shots. I waited patiently at the pharmacy's drop-off counter to ask when they were available. I probably stood there for four minutes before a nice woman came over. She indicated that seniors can get their shots immediately without an appointment. The rest of the population can get flu shots starting November 1st. I thanked her for sharing this information and continued walking around the store. There is a post office by the cases of pop and frozen foods. The instant noodle section is impressive here. This store also has Smart Sweets, which I appreciate. Sadly, they weren't on sale. I ended up getting some beverages. I headed over to the checkout. There wasn't a lineup. The woman there didn't say hi. Her opening line was, "Do you need a bag?" It was different. I declined. I got my PC Optimum barcode scanned from my phone. I paid using my debit card. Her closing salutation was better. She wished me a great day. That was nice. I headed to my car with my drinks. All good. It's a fairly quiet drugstore, which I like. It has everything that I need. I'd come back when I'm in the area again. (408)

This Rexall is one of them. It's in a plaza with other businesses that I'd like to check out, such as A&W and Little Caesars. A few weeks ago, I was on a mission to find a rare product. It's in unicorn territory. Coconut Toffifee. It's a limited flavour. It was on sale and I wanted some. My two usual Rexall stores in Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville did not have this product. I did a search and my third-closest Rexall from my home is this one in Scarborough. I was heading eastbound along Sheppard Avenue East. I pulled into the plaza by making a right turn. It was nice to get a brief look at all businesses here before I got to the drugstore. I backed into a spot fairly close to the main entrance and walked in. Immediately to my left was the cashout area with loaves of bread. Straight ahead of me were drinks, food, and frozen food. Cool! I walked pretty much this entire store. I dig it. The downside was that I never found the coconut Toffifee that I was looking for. However, I got so much out of this visit. This store offered an extensive markdown of Easter chocolates and candy. It was impressive. I ended up getting a six-pack of Cadbury creme eggs at a heavily reduced price. The chocolate bars and snacks in this place is off-the-chart amazing. The varieties are vast and eye-opening. Towards the most eastern corner of this drugstore that faces Sheppard Avenue East, I have never seen a massive wall full of purses at any Rexall in my life. When I think of getting a new purse, Rexall is not my first thought. It should be after looking at them. They are of decent quality. You can also get shawls and scarves that were pretty and functional. I made my way over to pay for my items. I had a woman who seemed nice, but was a bit preoccupied. I paid with a credit card and had my Be Well barcode from my app scanned. It was such a seamless transaction. I thanked her and left. I'd love to return and shop at this drugstore more often. It was fairly quiet when I was here on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe when I'm not looking for coconut Toffifee, it'll magically appear in front of my eyes. (134)

Anyhow, there's room to move amongst the aisles. A Canada Post outlet is located at the rear of the store. Check your purchases & prices on the cash register screen as they are scanned so you pay what you're supposed to pay. I sometimes find the sale prices or marked down items may not have been entered into their sales system properly OR the Sale shelf label was not for the product you put into your shopping cart. In fact, I find myself going to this Shoppers Drug Mart 2-3 times over the four days I'm in town for items I was unable to bring on the place. I rarely need to interact with the staff as I typically use the self-checkout kiosks to check out. I usually make my first trip to this location to pick up distilled water and a few snacks I could use for the next four days. Then, I come back to pick up items to bring back home as souvenirs on another visit. I have also visited this location to pick up passport applications. On one visit a year or two ago, I even bought a shaver there and toiletries that I forgot. It's helpful to remember to bring your own bag from home as there is cost for each bag you use, though that's typical across Toronto. If you go to the Shoppers website (https://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca), you can shop online, use the pharmacy, see flyers and offers, and much more. You can also sign up for the PC Optimum program by going to https://accounts.pcid.ca/create-account which can be used at Shoppers Drug Mart, Joe Fresh, PC Optimum, PC Express, and PC Health. You can redeem special offers for credits, and often, there is even a special offer on your birthday. It's great to get freebies and to earn reward dollars quickly and with little effort. While I don't have much experience with asking staff for assistance, I have still found my experience at this Shoppers Drug Mart to be good. I'll certainly be back when I'm back in Toronto.
