A server that takes your order and delivers your food and collects the bill might spend a total of 5 minutes with you during your 60 minute dining experience. Personal services like massage therapy however shouldn't be judged on the same spectrum. These highly trained individuals have to a minimum of 500 hours of schooling in order to receive their CMT. They spend the entire time paid for working on your body and providing 1 on 1 personal care. Additionally, many of these workers are 1099 contractors and only get paid when work is available to them. Subsequently, many of these workers rely heavily on their gratuities to live. The way I personally feel when I get personal services like a massage, haircut, manicure etc., I provide at least a prorated gratuity of $25 to $40 for each hour in addition to the house fee. If you can't afford this going in, then maybe you shouldn't be "treating" yourself to luxury personal services. Just my $.02

The body massage pressure was good but wish she worked more on my shoulders and neck, it was mainly my upper and lower back. The room light stayed on and the temperature was a little cold and was only given a towel to go under instead of a sheet like other massage places. They didn't have a breast pillow FYI if you're a breastfeeding mom. Overall massage was standard. Also at the end when I paid cash and asked for change back she was hesitant and asked for a tip. Which is fine and I gave a little over 20% but she asked for more which I thought was very odd and she said she usually gets more tip. But I refused and she started talking to her coworker in their language under their breath.
