I discovered Amy a while back and wow, she's absolutely incredible. If you're looking for the fluff of doored private rooms, expensive table bedding, lit candles and a quiet atmosphere, (along with the high spa prices) this place is not for you. If you're looking for quality, deep tissue work at a fraction of spa pricing and don't mind some subtle background noise of people talking from time to time, then this is the place for you! The pricing is VERY low and these (mostly) women work 6 days a week. They work so, so hard so the standard 20% tipping is quite low. They make minimum wage so they do rely heavily on tips. My husband is a chiropractor and tries to see Amy every few weeks, if not weekly. She really helps his achy body and helps me with my migraines and neck/back pain. We typically do a 90mins massage that is $60. We always tip $30 or MORE. These ladies work hard. I see people mentioning tipping so I wanted to add this point to my review. Even at $90 (the price we pay w/tip) for a 90mins, it's a massage that can't be beat. I can't speak to the other technicians except Amy. She's exceptional. If you get a 90mins you can opt to skip the seated/laying down foot section and go straight to the room. We prefer the time spent on the entire body so 30mins spent in this chair we skip. The body portion is in a small room without a door. Instead, there is a curtain. You still have lots of privacy but, again, don't come here looking for the fluffy spa experience. Very strong massage therapist, love how they are receptive to patients level of pain. I let them know that I'm more sore on my right arm and which muscles was causing me discomfort I believe it was the boss and she applied topical medicine and massage the area. This is upsetting!! The massage was good until after paying and i tipped my massage lady $5 for a body service which is $40. Then my massage lady was unhappy and demanded for more. She said minimum tip is $10 SINCE WHEN? Since when 25% tipping is mandatory? If you want $10 tip, you should post up a sign stating $10 tip is mandatory. She's got hands of steel and will not relent on those knots until they cry "uncle". I can take a good bit of pressure but this little lady had me yelping and flinching...then afterwards I felt like I hadn't in about 15 years. You have got to tip her well. She is a true reflexologist with over 12 years of experience in China and had just come from the motherland three years ago. If you want Swedish gentle sweeps this is not for you. This is for those who suffer chronic pain and want to unclog all the blocked lymphatics and "Jing Mai". I tipped her almost 100%, she worked really hard and I literally feel 15 years younger! My partner and I arrived at 9pm for a 60 minute foot and body massage. At first it appeared like they would be able to see us both at the same time. They set us up on beds. My masseuse started the session but after 5 minutes said she couldn't complete the service and would need to call someone else. After another 20 minute wait and several phone calls later a new massage therapist arrived and started the session. I've been here a handful of times now maybe 4. Three out of four massages were excellent for the price. However, it does get NOISY in here. The workers absolutely do not care to talk softly. I even brought earplugs in and can hear.everything. From experiences, I hear the workers eating in the other room, talk on the phone right next to me and just talking in general. I know you get what you pay for and reflexology massage joints have have this reputation but it's pretty bad here! Also. the front lady will not follow your request if you want man or woman. After reading some of the reviews apparently you need to tip at least $20 on a $40 (60 min) massage. I understand they probably don't get paid much and depend on tips, but not everyone is familiar with the tipping culture when it comes to massages. It's just a really shitty feeling when you're unaware of something and they make you feel bad about it. We tipped around 20-25%, which what we thought was enough....but yeah they weren't very happy and we could definitely tell from their death stares afterward. After trying a couple of friend's referrals, and my extensive research, I 'd thought I give this place a try. After a first one hour session, I booked my second session for one and half hours a week later. Rose was my masseuse, and I can tell how skillful she is, she can pinpoint the acupuncture point very accurately, and I would say definitely one of the best masseuse I had. Till today I have had 6 sessions with Rose already, for at least one and half hours. My neck/shoulder/back pain due to long hours of sitting, busy doing office work(10hours and barely getting up) has relieved tremendously and made a huge progress so far.
