My friend and I had a $60 massage. We tipped the masseuses $20 each and they showed us their long face. I wonder how much they expect the tip to be? If they have a certain expectation then they should let us know from beginning. After all, tipping is based on customers' discretion and their massaging skills. No more massages here for me and my friend!!! read more

Best and affordable massage. It's my mom, my sister's and my 2nd time here and they dis not disappoint. Ask for Lisa and Sue for whole body massage (90 minutes recommended) and Susan for foot massage. To those complaining about tips. These people are doing very manual labor. It's very hard work. If you can tip your nail and hair persons $20-40 each visit for a not so back-breaking service, I'm sure these folks deserve moreyour hard-earned money. The place is clean but don't expect 5-star experience, they're charging $45 for 1 hour full body massage which you cannot find anywhere I live. read more

My massage was pretty good, she got all the knots out and I left feeling like jello. The only downside was she picked up the phone 3 times but honestly I was just there to get my knots out. The tipping I was nervous about bc I saw so many reviews but I didn't have any problems. For $60 1 1/2 hr massage it's a good deal, better than all the prices out side so you might as well tip 50% it's the same as if you were paying for an $80 massage except the masseuse gets the money and we should support them! She was really good. But if you're looking for tranquil and quiet vibes this probably isn't the place. But I will be back again if I'm really stiff! read more

I've been going here for over 10 years now. Great massage and very affordable prices. The only minus is they talk too much, and you can't relax. Otherwise everything is great. read more

Never come back again, the massage therapist did not know how to do the massage. And when the massage finished.. I left $25 tips for each massage therapist. They were no happy. Give me long face and the therapist ask me give them $40tips. read more

Amazing! Lucy's massage techniques has done the trick! 90 minutes for under $90, included tip... can't beat it. Definitely go. read more

I called ahead and was told to come in within 30 minutes and that a private room was available. But as soon as I walked in, a woman yelled that they were busy , super rude and unprofessional. When I explained I had just called, she ignored me and started talking to her coworker instead. I stood there waiting with no acknowledgment for a while. It honestly felt like they were hoping I'd just leave. The only reason I stayed was because I already paid through Groupon and couldn't get a refund. Otherwise, I would've walked out immediately. Definitely wouldn't come back. read more

I got a Groupon deal for a 60 min massage. Gifted one voucher to my sister in law. App says appointment required, download or print voucher and that's that. My sis waited 30 min because they wouldn't accept her download. They waited around not telling her anything or any solution. I had to tell my sis to download the app and I gave her the logins. I don't know why it was so difficult but terrible experience. ESPECIALLY because the lady demanded TIP lol my sis gave her $5 and she said "$10 more" My empath sis gave her $10 total. Not deserved at all, I was pretty pissed. If I could leave a ZERO I would. read more

I was looking forward to trying this place and enjoying a little relaxing foot massage. The staff greeted us with a smile and tended to us fairly quickly. We walked in around 6pm and were the only customers. The space looks clean, prices are posted as you walk in. The massage bed/chairs are in a communal setting, so although you'll get to see or sit next to other people, the place is spacious. We opted for option 1, which includes head, neck, back, and feet massage for a price of $30. They sat us down, brought water to soak our feet, and began massaging the head and neck. There's a small center table to place your things, and they provided a towel/ blanket, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, as far as the massage goes, it was not very relaxing. You can opt-out of turning on the table for the back massage, but i wanted to try it all as it was offered. It felt like the lady was focusing only on pressure points on my neck and spine (which is not good) and not massaging them out. These were painful. And I was definitely sore for the whole week after. The foot massage was more of an intimidated foot/leg caress of only the L side calf with a neglected L. and R. Foot. I did ask her to focus more on feet, but this didn't work. I hate to give low ratings, so I'm hoping that I just didn't get a good masseuse. But I definitely regret the whole painful neck/back massage. I believe in giving second chances, so who knows, maybe I'll try them once more but only for the foot massage/rub if in need of just that. read more

Everything was top notch. They paid attention to the areas I pointed out as troublesome. The atmosphere was very calming and peaceful. The masseuse checked with me as to the correct amount of pressure being used and worked on those areas they found tight and knotted during my massage. read more

This place has gone downhill from when I first reviewed it over ten years ago. Massage was midrange at best. Masseuse knocked a pair of expensive Oliver People's glasses off of the table and picked them up so roughly my jaw dropped, and it seems that they now have the 'shake the customer down for more tip' routine down pat, even including the old man who works behind the counter, who had somehow 'forgotten' which combo I had selected. To make matters worse, she stretched the neck out of a $100 John Elliot T-shirt. I heard it rip a little. The days of cheap, inspiring SGV massages may be over, and Massage Queen's decline is a good indicator of this being true. Avoid at all costs. read more

The comments on here about the TIPPING are All Legit!!!! First: Instead of providing a tranquil environment, the Ladies talked loudly in Chinese and worse was my masseuse was talking on her cellphone during the massage! Second: Apparently, $10 is Not Enough and therefore they demanded for a bigger tip! this just became my First and Last Visit at this Place! read more

I paid $60 for a 90-minute full-body massage. I left a $15 tip at the end, and the therapist was clearly unhappy. Instead of letting me leave normally, I was pressured to tip more, and other staff downstairs also joined in insisting I add more. To avoid further conflict, I gave an additional $10, bringing my total tip to $25. Even at an 18% tip rate, $60 would be $10.80--I had already tipped above that and still got told it was "not enough." Tipping should be optional and based on service, not something customers are held up for or ganged up on about. This experience felt uncomfortable and aggressive, and it completely ruined what should have been a relaxing service. I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend this place to anyone who expects respectful treatment. read more

Not going back again. The massage and experience was decent until the therapist demanded for $25 tips when I gave her $15! I had also overheard another staff asking her customer for more tips during my session. If they felt under paid, they should either raise the price or put out a sign saying 40% tips mandated. I don't need a spa that gives me a bad mood. read more

Very rude to ask for more tip than 20%. Tips are optional and not an extra income for the massage therapist. Also, TV on with action movie, loud voices, no privacy, it is in a massage chair not a seperate room . read more

Do not come here unless you want to be harassed for money. My friend and I arrived in LA after a long trip and just wanted to relax. We both chose the $60 package. However, when it came time to pay, the staff became incredibly aggressive and forced us to tip $25 per person as the minimum. We intended to tip $25 total for the both of us, but they made us feel uncomfortable until we paid their "minimum." After looking at other reviews, it seems this is a common scam they run. read more

The lady took my credit card and gave herself a $40 tip on a $60 massage. She refused to adjust the amount. They're just greedy.

I could've communicated for a better/less firm massage but the lady was rough and the reviews are right that after the massage they want more tip... I got a 90 minute body massage $60 I tipped $15 After the massage she counted in front of me and she said more tip so I said next time she was visibly upset and was like more tip like if I'm going to give more cash that's all I had and I called before coming to ask how much is ok and person on the phone said $15-20 is ok and I told the lady I did call and they said $15 ok so she surprised me And in front of me she gestured 90 minute ok and she did this gesture referring to my body size that I'm big so bigger tip so I just said goodnight and left ... the workers front desk kinda did this grin like uh oh awkward so instead of making a big deal I just left I am shocked should've listened to reviews read more

I got 1 hour foot & 1 hour body massage (total 2 hours) with Lily. She worked so hard to get my muscles relaxed. I came past 8pm & she did not rush at all. They work for the tips so be generous. I am definitely coming back every month. I had been to so many massage places before. Definitely highly recommend. read more

This place is amazing!! I took my sisters and our experience was incredible. They really go the extra mile to make sure that you get the best experience ever. Very clean and professional. Extremely recommended to anyone looking for a good massage. read more

BEWARE GROUPON USERS: The massage in the massage chair and not on the table. I thought it was going to be in a room on a table but I was wrong. The title of the Groupon is misleading. Before coming in I tried to confirm with the lady on the phone that I wanted 2 male massage therapists. She said she could accommodate and so I gladly made the appointment. When I arrived she said "sorry only 1 male, we're very busy". It's fine to be busy but don't lie to me just to get me through the door. The male was also 10minutes late and literally rushed through the entire massage. Not a relaxing or enjoyable at all. Be prepared to tip 15$. After the massage they asked for a 15$ tip. This place is honestly a scam and I would recommend avoiding it. read more

Inflation has finally hit Massage Queen. No longer do the days of a $45 for an hour and a half massage exist. They have a rotating door when it comes to the masseuse, but the quality is decent for the price paid. I usually go with my girlfriend for a quick feel-good session and they don't disappoint. The only thing is that even though we tip generously, it seems like they do not think we're tipping enough. Tips are mandatory here and it is usually a set amount unless you want to tip more. read more

The foot massage was so awesome I fell asleep but they were a little firm on the body massage. Also, based on the other reviews I'm pretty sure they took a bunch for the tip. Like our massage total (for three people) was $100, and I was going to tip like 25 plus the 3% fee for the card, however when I got the receipt back it said 160. Which was odd and the receipt wasn't even itemized. I handed the card to my Chinese friend because they were the one communicating with the staff, but they said a total didn't even pop up on the screen. Odd. Suspicious. Definitely scammed me of $35 but the massage was okay I guess read more

The price was great and the massage was great as well.. so far one of the best in the area

I gave this place 1 star because they lady asked for a 40% tip ($40). Before we even had a chance to agree to it, she charged my card!!!!! I totally disagree with this practice. And she asked for the extra tip after I handed my credit card. She told us they work hard and that most people give $20 per person. Yeah, I could've not signed the credit card transaction, but at the moment and with the guilt trip, I didn't think. With regards to the guy I had, he was really good and worked my knots, but the person who massaged my companion did an average job. She was the one who charged my card. I just want others to know what to expect when you get a massage there. Even if the price quoted online is comparable to other places in the area, you may get pushed to give a bigger tip. I should've looked at the other Yelp reviews who warned of this. Also look at the clock to make sure they massage the full time. Mine was on time but my companion's massage was short. It's a bit unfortunate about the tipping situation because what could've been a good experience ended on a sour note. read more

Walked in hoping for a foot/reflexology massage. Turned out that they do a mix - it's a 1 hr foot, neck, back, scalp massage for $30. Which was perfect because I wanted a foot massage but my husband wanted more of a back massage. It was actually really nice. Both my husband and I enjoyed it. The neck massage was so good. And the two ladies we had were super sweet, warm and friendly. read more

Bad bad customer service and experience! $60 for an hour and half body massage and then insisted, demanded $25 tips! Well if you told me ahead that you only accept Zelle and not credit card in advance! I'd appreciate it very much! I just don't like being demand you have to pay a certain amount of tips! Never come back, thank you! read more

Extremely unprofessional tipping expectation. Massage was average at best and the tip reflected 25% and she insisted on more bringing the tip to almost 40%. Do not recommend at all! read more

Their massages are great! I haven't had a bad therapist. Make sure you tell them what pressure you prefer before the massage, and they will accommodate! I have been going here for years!!!!! I have been to a lot of foot massage places in the SGV, and it's been a mixed bag. My friend recommended this place and it was nice. I got there and this lady began massaging me. Overall she was good, but there were times when she kind of stepped on my hair to start massaging me. When I was done, she gave me some tea. I went up to pay and she said $25. I gave her $40 and she just kept it. A little presumptuous, considering but whatever. Okay place, but not the best experience for me. read more

I am very disappointed with this place. I have been a loyal customer since a few years ago. My favorite massage lady left after covid, so I asked the owner to recommend another lady to me. My new massage therapist is not bad, but I like my old massage lady better. One hour body massage is more expensive than pre-covid time. I tip $10 after my one hour body massage. However, the owner demand me to tip more. Their reason is because everything gets more expensive after covid. I paid $15 tip at the end, and decided that I will not return. I do not like to be told how much I should tip. I believe that tip is based on how services were delivered. read more

Best massage by John! He knew where my knots were. I didn't even have to tell him. Only ask for him if you need those knots melted away. It may be a little Painful. Not fair that people rating this place based on the tip "requests". They need to rate it based on their actual Massages. Honestly if you are too broke to tip, don't go get a massage. Massages are a luxury. These people work hard for their money and probably only get paid by their tips because they immigrants. They couldn't find legal jobs maybe who knows.
