Both times, he was caring, gentle, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He treated the problem areas and also recommended some helpful stretches to loosen up my muscles and address the underlying stiffness. I especially appreciated that he didn't just treat the discomfort and send me on my way. He took the time to educate me on what might be contributing to it and what I could do at home to help. Dr. Fong has a calm, thoughtful approach that makes the whole experience surprisingly relaxing. I consulted another practitioner and learned that the swelling may be caused by hitting a blood vessel, treating a nerve issue in the local area could make it worse, and treating only one side can amplify any existing issues. I ended up taking my family member to another clinic and paying out of pocket to help fix the issues that Modern Moxa Needles caused.
