After a whole year of neck and shoulder pain and headaches, I had decided to seek more holistic treatment, to revisit acupuncture. I chose this place because of all the positive yelp reviews and saw that they accept many types of health insurance. (Yay! They take my insurance!) On my first visit, Dr. Nancy Lin offered a herbal heat pad, complimentary (air) cupping , and acupuncture on my neck and shoulders. I was so relaxed after this treatment - so much tightness had melted away from my shoulders, and this feeling lasted throughout the week. The thing about familiar/normalized pain is that when it moves away, it often reveals some other layer of pain, and I could now feel my left scapula sticking out and other points of tension that were not so obvious before because the neck-shoulder pain had been so overbearing for so long. I have been back two more times so far. I tried Tui Na with Dr Ming (very intense massage) - and another session with Dr Lin, and each time I've felt major changes in how my body feels. I've been seeing April and Nancy for my treatments for almost 2 years now. They've helped me treat my menstrual cramps, fatigue, and TMJ pain. For someone who has gotten Botox twice for my TMJ for it to only last 6 months at best, April does an amazing job at treating me for it. At first I was questioning what the heck is happening here but the manual therapy (pretty much a form of a clinical massage) helped me out a lot. I've been going to Dr. Lin for a while now and I'm so grateful for her expertise and level of care. At each visit she listens thoroughly to all of my questions and concerns (and I have a lot!) without dismissing any of them. I have been going to Dr. Nancy since March 2023. On my first visit, she completed an intake and assessed my situation. My main reason for starting acupuncture was for weight management. This is the best acupuncture/traditional Chinese medicine clinic in 626. It's rare to find someone so proficient in Chinese medicine AND can actually articulate the nuances to you in English or Chinese. Dr. Nancy Lin is so patient and thorough. To be honest, I have a fear of needles. It's really hard for me to get vaccines, let alone acupuncture, but Dr. Lin takes the time to personalize a treatment at a pain level that I can handle (sometimes they're even painless)! They offer a wide range of treatments and I've gone to them for every injury or illness I've felt. If you feel like you've spent all your time in western medicine and you have a dead-end answer about why you're feeling ill, or no treatments besides painkillers/antibiotics/steroids, give this clinic a visit. They've helped me for sprained ankles, pulled muscles, IBS/digestion issues, period issues, depression, sleeping disorders, eczema, and so much more. I never knew Chinese medicine and acupuncture could be so effective until now. Also keep in mind that it's not one treatment and you're all better - a lot of these illnesses have underlying symptoms and it takes multiple treatments to get improvement. But it's worth it!!! This review has been long waited. In my early 20s, I started having back pain and was meeting with a chiropractor. It only provided temporary relief and I found myself constantly going back for treatment. I never consider acupuncture until I was referred by my primary doctor. I wish I started sooner. Both Dr. Nancy and Dr. Hong are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond for their patients. Dr. Nancy not only focus on my mid- lower back pain but other areas that bother me (ie., sleep, digestive issues, headaches). My back was hurting a lot and I could barely move without pain. I don't like taking pain medication and prefer alternative treatments. She also takes the time to ask you how you're feeling prior to each treatment to see if she needs to pay attention to a specific area more or continue the treatment plan. During treatments, she also checks up on you to see if any needles are causing any pain.
