I would like to say that I am so happy I found this office especially since it's in my network. The whole office staff is extremely nice and welcoming. It really has that family like ambiance. The Dr. is genuinely concerned about your health and not just trying to mill you out. She takes her time to talk to you and is constantly monitoring your pain level asking what helps and what doesn't. I have been now going for the last few months and am experiencing vast improvement in my over all health. I was in an urge to look for a doctor for my stomach and duodenum pain. I cannot even drive because of it. Long story short, my family doctor helped me do a blood test and sonic-wave said my stomach is fine and I have to wait for a gastroenterologist half-year! Which drives me crazy because I can't work and drive because of the pain! I also only could lay on my bed most of the time and only have congee for meals. One of my doctor friends referred me to Dr. Elaine (thank god!) and I am recovering greatly in 5 weeks using herbs and acupuncture (I was in pain for months). My energy is keeping up and I can exercise at home (HIIT). Elaine and her team (front desk and medical assistant) were very nice and professional. The office has a lot of space and is pretty clean. During my first visit, Elaine asked me a lot of questions about how I feel, my body, my daily meals, my medical record, and more to find out my situation. She also took my pulse, touched my acupoints and used some machine to find out my problem. Then she explained to me how my daily life activities affect my body and told me what I should consume more and what I shouldn't eat. Meanwhile, she also explained how she would treat me in detail (clear enough for me to know what is going on but not super deep so I don't get confused unless I asked lol). I love it because I learn a lot compared to most of the doctors I had before who only tell me a little and I feel like most of them don't really care if I would actually be cured. *By the way, I had worked with some doctors in Hong Kong as a marketer. The herb brand Elaine uses is one of the best with cGMP certification. It's an international standard that is MORE strict than US, regulations enforced by the FDA and WHO. Downside? It's a little expensive to me... but it's worth it. Elaine not only just explained how the herb would help me but also explained to me how the acupoints work for me. I love to learn so I always ask a lot of questions and Elaine would enter this professor mode non-stop (at some point I have to stop myself because sometimes she has a lot of other patients waiting...) Back in Hong Kong I love to work with the younger doctor (not fresh grad young, but like around 10 years experience) because they have the newest knowledge and have just about enough experiences to help me. I always learn a lot from them because they are very updated with what they do and they are more open-minded to new technology and skills. Dr. Elaine is one of them and I am so glad that I found her. I think I am almost good with my stomach pain and I waited this long to have a more comprehensive review for Elaine and this place. Since I am very concerned about my health, I want to have a better body shape as well. I would continue coming to see Dr. Elaine and I would do further review on that part. Dr Wang's therapy and treatment is excellent and beyond my expectations! First I came to her clinic for my wrist pain injured from my RN job, I can't believe the pain just goes away immediately when she performed accupunture on my right wrist. Yes, right hand, I don't even know accupunture can be performed on my right wrist to treat my left wrist pain, after aggressive treatment, my left wrist pain decreased a lot! Although OT still needed to let me regain my left wrist muscle strength. Second, I developed a weird autoimmune disease during that time. Then I came to my pcp and specialists, who provided 5-minutes assessment and said they can do nothing to my Hishimoto's but treating symptoms only. Then I came to Dr. Wang clinic, she learn my disease via functional medicine, and teach me gluten free diet and elimination of high histamine food to prevent my flare up based on evidence supports. Third, my leg developed numbness after a flare up from inflammation. When I came to my PCP, he dont even give me any treatment and therapy, but Dr. Wang did some massages to me, which heal my leg numbness amazingly. Dr. Wang is the best acupuncturist I have even seen during the past years, I've tried their acupuncture, ear therapy and herbs during past months. Both the doctor and staffs here are friendly and helpful. For the acupuncture, it's really painless. You almost won't feel the needles at all, it's not as painful as you thought. It's absolutely helped me with extreme pain in my back and shoulder area. I've done the ear therapy for about 2 months and it helped me loss my weight for 15lbs already. Of course, you can't fully relay on the therapy, you need to control the diet as well. In stereotype, people thought that herbs work slow, not as effective as western medicine. However, for some specific symptoms, herbs even work faster and better than western medicine. Western medicine is more relay on labs, sometimes you feel very uncomfortable but lab result shows nothing wrong with your body, but after acupuncture and taking herbs, you may feel much better. I have acute right shoulder pain, due to work related injury. I can barely lift my right arm over my head, the pain scale is 7 out of 10, my doctor refer me to see Dr. Wang. This is my first acupuncture treatment, I am very nervous about needles. I feel a little tapping, and then two needles were inserted in my left wrist, then I was told to raise my right shoulder. Last month I when to big bear lake to snowboard. I fell down and injured my right rib area. It was extremely painful and I thought I broke my ribs, every breath was painful. I when to urgent care. Fortunately, my bones are ok. However, the X-Ray showed big mass of bruises. They gave me pain shot, but it wasn't really help. The Dr recommended me to seek help from acupuncturist. So, next day I went AHMC WELLNESS CENTER for acupuncture, since it is free for AHMC employee. Dr Wang inserted needles in my legs. Then I was told to move the painful area. I took a deep breath, it's not painful. I also tried to twist my upper body. My pain went down dramatically from 10/10 to 2/10 in 10 seconds. The needles were left there about 45 mins. Afterworlds, she gave me some herbs to reduce the pain and resolve the bruises. I followed her advice to drink the herbs three times a day for five days. After one week, the pain totally went away.
