I made an online appointment for a facial and massage combo. They only told me they couldn't do the facial once I was already there. Inside was a bit dated but the massage was very relaxing and just what I needed. I was drifting off to sleep for much of it. read more

Great relaxing massage ... I brought my husband and daughter and we all loved our massage felt great after leaving. The hot water foot massage was Bomb will return weekly ... we been looking for a place to go all the time and finally we found it . The pricing is great too . read more

I visited for the first time and received a 10% discount on a $50 one-hour session. When I called in, I was informed about the pricing and tipping range, which is from $10 to $20. The pricing is very transparent. The shop is simple and basic, which is fine since I primarily needed the massage service. I had pain in my shoulders and surrounding areas, and the massage therapist gradually relaxed my muscles. If I needed more attention on a specific area, she focused more on it. There was no unnecessary chit-chat, and she was 100% focused on the massage. After the hand massage, she used hot stones on my back, which felt very good. They also offer a loyalty program: after collecting five stamps, you get $25 off, and after ten stamps, you get $50 off. I will definitely come back when my body needs it again. read more

Amazing place , if you're looking for a real good massage , this is the place ! The lady is just good at it !

This is an okay spot for a quick massage. But I didn't think it was a great quality vibe in terms of relaxation. They seat you face up, and it's on odd angle for a good massage. The pressure and foot reflexology was good but it wasn't the best being right by the door- they don't have rooms only partitions and you can hear everything. read more

Came to get a massage with my mom .. 10 min into the massage .. they stop another male customer came in and you can clearly hear they were having sex .. I got frightened because I can hear them argue about money. I asked for a refund and didn't happen so I called the police My mom continued with her massage not knowing what is going on as I'm waiting for my mom another make goes in it's obvious it's not a massage parlor. I'm beyond disgusted. read more

So i usually leave a review if ive had a great or horrific experience at a business... I will just be honest about my experience... So i came by today 8/16/24 for my first time & i was so disappointed with the service . Ive been looking foward to a massage for the longest and as i was getting my massage done by a lady ( didnt get her name ) . She covered my eyes with a small towel and said to sleep . As i tired to sleep and relax i felt as she was massaging she would stop al of sudden ( long period of time ) and not massage . She did that couple times which i found it odd . I removed my towel and peaked and noticed she was knocked out . Standing and head tilted. She did this several timess throughout the 60mins . I didnt say anything because im like okay she may had a long day and is exhausted .however, it took away from my experience and relaxation... im not aure if she's certified but i didnt feel like it was a good massage at all . It felt all over the place ... once she finished i asked of she was okay because i noticed she was falling asleep throughout the service . Of course she denied it ... its okay i wont be coming back . I expected at least some honesty. But of course i still tipped her ... but yeah story of my life read more

Brought my family to a relaxing massage. We were beyond satisfied. Nina has hands of an angel I recommend 100%.

Stopped in here last night on impulse, as I was near the area. Glad I did! It was completely empty on a Tuesday night and I got the $30 combo body/foot massage that lasted 70 minutes! You read correctly, such a great deal! Helen was my masseuse and she was great- strong arms and fingers, and a petite body that worked wonders when she leaned her elbows into my back. Because I was the only one there, it was quiet and the place smelled nice, with clean, hot towels. You get the classic hot bucket of water for your feet to start, then she commenced with the head/scalp massage, followed by a neck and shoulders portion. She'll dry and massage each foot for a long time, then tell you to flip over. I come prepared wearing a tank top, because the lady will close the curtains for privacy and tell you to lie face down w/ your shirt off. She'll ask to unhook your bra, and then you get a good back massage w/ oil. I was surprised with the hot stones! I don't remember those last time! I don't know how Helen could hold them for so long with her bare hands, because they are so hot! Felt good though, you could tell she's been doing this a long time because her hands are strong and her fingers are calloused. But they feel surprisingly good on your toes during the foot massage portion. Great music, in my opinion: Kenny G playing well known hits the entire 70 minutes! I've read the other bad reviews about this place, and I get it. But the last time I visited, I had a good experience, and I gotta go with that. I visited years ago, and it was about a 3 out of 5. Unsure if there's a new owner, but I know it's not great if it's crowded; it could get loud. Paid $30 for 70 minutes and tipped $10 to Helen. read more

I made an appointment to go at 7:30pm and when I arrived the lady (don't know her name) said they were busy. I informed them that I made an appointment and she just shrugged her shoulders. She said I would have to wait 30 mins. I was upset but still waited, they locked the doors so when the 30 mins passed by I checked to see if it was my turn and nothing, they wouldn't open so I left. read more

Tried this place based on the great Yelp reviews, but honestly, will likely not be back. For $20, my body was roughly massaged, when it was really my feet that were in need. The $20 foot massage is moreso a 15 minute foot massage, with a 45 minute head/shoulder/arm/back massage. I think I just had a really rough masseuse, hence my review. I felt a little bad telling him to soften up since he appeared to think he was doing a good job. Another con: The recliner chairs are not as comfortable as other places I've been to... it neglects to comfort the area in your lower back. Maybe they can add a soft pillow to combat this? After my foot massage, he wiped the oil off my feet so hard, my whole body was shaking up and down. It pretty much woke me up from any type of relaxation I had been feeling. And when he put the oil on, it was like he was slathering oil on a piece of buffalo meat...not relaxing at all. I think I'll just stick with TK Therapy, down the street. Accepts credit cards, with a $1 charge. read more

Atlantic Garden Spa - Waiting area - Massage Near Me - Monterey Park, California

i was here earlier and the owner old me of a promotion going on right now. Early bird special $15.00 for 1 hr full body massage between the hours of 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM from October 1 to October 31, 2013. I think there is also $5.00 off items. I recommend. :) read more

First of all, free & ample parking! Second of all, this experience reminded me that my countrymen know a thing or two about the old' bod...acupressure, appropriate temperatures, etc. At the first, the "you get what you pay for" mantra rang loudly in my head as I approached the $20 an hour foot massage joint. I'm not gonna lie, I was worried. The ambiance was typical for a foot massage place...lots of wide cushy chairs within close proximity of one another in a not too large a space. The "foot" massage actually incorporated whole appendages, head, neck, face to boot. Hot jasmine tea or water (whatever you prefer) is offered immediately post massage. $20/hour is practically slave labor in this context, so I tipped 100% and so should you! As the Terminator once said: "I'll be back." read more

So my sister has been bugging the heck out of me to try this place. I love massages, even those that feel like you are getting your muscles peeled painfully off your bones. Walking in I felt at ease because they actually WANT quiet as opposes to similar places where they talk loudly while massaging you. I decided on option "b" which includes a 20 minute foot soak, 20 minute foot massage, and a 20 minute back and shoulder massage. Great massage. The masseuse was kind enough to ask me throughout if The firmness was okay. The foot soak was great and I found myself knocked out a few moments throughout the massage. I would come here again. read more

I have been to this place before. It has been OK but it just keeps getting worse this time it was such a horrible experience ! I got a 60 minuet and they actually just did a 45 minute . He argued with me telling me that it was already the 60 minutes .. I got a text right before they where going to start . I showed him the time I got the text ! He didn't say nothing else . Not to mention that he put lotion on my leg and was just going back-and-forth with no pressure . He spend 15 mins. On each leg out of the 45 mins. Total time he did .. and they still demand a good tip ! it was a horrible experience !! read more

Not impressed by this Massage place. Came here recently and left more stressed than when I came in. NOT GOOD! We were initially going to go to our usual "go-to" spot but they were busy so we came here as a back-up around 10 PM. Bad mistake! So...WHY you might ask? Here are the reasons: 1) Very loud! No relaxation whatsoever. I thought it was a "spa?" what happened to the "spa" aspect of it? The"check in" counter was literally in the same room as all the beds. (You're literally out in the open with a whole bunch of people). No privacy at all. Doors were banging, workers and clients were chatting, owner talked extremely loud on her phone, children were running around, and this was at 10:30 PM at night! 2) The masseuses/massueurs are NOT licensed. My masseuse clearly didn't know what she was doing. My least favorite part was when she was massaging my neck. I literally received MORE knots AFTER she touched my neck. Also, when she turned me over for the "back massage" she was just rubbing me softly on the top (like a child petting a dog) and when she got to the middle part of my back, she pushed onto it REALLY hard, hurting my bones. Even the day after, I was STILL sore! 3) Bad smell in their products and lots of cigarette smoking inside and outside of their store. In the beginning of the massage, they put lotion on your face and massage your head. The head massage was comfortable but after they touch your head, they use lotion to massage your face. Her hands smelled like the mixture of rotten eggs and MSG! It was DISGUSTING! What product was she using? I broke out mad!!!!! Also they go work on your foot with the same hands and product. Makes me wonder, do they wash their hands in between clients? Does that mean they go from one's head, to face, to feet, and rinse and repeat? CAUSE THATS GROSS!!!!!!! Also the workers were smoking and walking in and out of the store so I could smell cigarettes very pungently. 4) Lastly what was the last straw for me was when the masseuse had told the owner that we "didn't give enough" tip to her and demanded MORE! How classless was this? Rule of thumb in America is, if you didn't do a good job, you DON'T deserve a lot of tip. It is NOT my responsiblity to ensure that you receive "enough" tip. I HAD tipped you, but I didn't believe you deserved a lot. You get what you WORK for...that's just how we do it here in America! Do not EVER demand or expect/assume you're that good for more tip! That's just ridiculous, esp if you did a HORRIBLE job! ~*I learned a powerful lesson this time. Even though it was cheap at $15/hr, it was NOT worth it. I left more stressed than when I came in. In this situation, you truly get what you pay for!!!!!! BEWARE. Don't tell me I didn't warn you! read more

There is simply NO place cheaper for the quality, hands down. How cheap is it? We drove all the way from San Francisco to Monterey Park in one day on our way to the desert and went out of our way a little bit, to work in a massage on a Saturday night. For a measely $25, you get a FULL BODY MASSAGE AND FOOT REFLEXOLOGY treatment for 75 minutes. I've never seen that anywhere else, and I've been to Monterey Park twice in the last 13 months, and Atlantic Spa has had the same price on this special and have been packing them in. I really like a hard massage and appreciate the many male masseurs they have working in here that can get the job done, being that I am not a petite woman. I have had at least 4 massages now at Atlantic and 3 of the 4 were excellent, the last one I believe last week I got the newbie, but it was still good for the price. The reflexology wasn't good, but the massage was. If you are American born and you have issues with any of the following then this isn't the place for you: 1. No or limited English -- I could care less, but other people seem to get rude about it and I'm offended listening to some of American speak to some of the employees in here. 2. Sniffles! I've noticed the new courtesy the massuers/massueses are wearings masks now, but it's annoying listening to their constant sniffling. I want to hand them all a wad of Kleenex and ask them to all go blow. 3. Stickler for opening/closing times. Catch as catch can. They may be open when they say, they might not. I relied on the times last year hoping to catch a massage before my flite and they weren't open on time; however, they stayed open super late to catch the latecomers that night. So, whatever. 4. Parking in the lot is hard to find. This is a busy parking lot with many shops on the street vying for each hard-to-find parking spot. All and all, really a great place for some inexpensive, great massage. ~Ms. Ali read more

When I occasionally come home on the weekends from college, I have to have my 1 hour of ultimate relaxation with my favorite masseuse, Perry. I personally like this masseuse because he tends to massage more firmly. However, if you prefer a softer massage, there are plenty of other masseuses that will accommodate to your liking. Also, the staff here are very friendly and welcoming unlike other places that seem to rush through the massage in order to rotate the next person in the chair. Great for stressed out college students on a budget!! read more

I'm the guy who doesn't get massages very often so when I think of massages, I always picture young lady or an old mother type figure digging into my body. I got massaged by neither of those. Instead the only person that was available was this young, tall guy. He's probably the son of the owners, but once my straight, immature self got over the awkward fact that a guy my age was going to touch my body, it turned out to be a good massage. He must've been trained in Muy Thai with the amount of elbows and knees he was dropping on me. There was pain at some points of the massage, but what great massage isn't painful? $20 for an hour including head, arm, leg, foot and back. Can't beat that. read more

I have been here a couple times and my third time i brought my boyfriend with me. We both are hard workers so I decided to treat him for a full body massage. This place is very relaxing. They have great ambiance and they often play their soft music to keep you more relaxed. $20 for one hour full body massage. My body felt rejuvenated. It was the best feeling every. My boyfriend enjoyed his full body massage too. I like getting my massages from the only "male" in this spa. He goes hard and definitely knows what he's doing. I wouldn't mind getting a full body massage every month for $20 you get more than what you pay for. read more

Disclaimer: This is no luxury spa. There is no sauna or steam room for you to use after your treatment. Just a comfy lazy-boy and a lavender sack for your eyes, but it did the job. $20 for a 60 minute foot massage, $18 for a 60-min hand massage. Both include a 10-min neck and shoulder rub down. Yes, you read correctly. And the specials are insane. A free 40-min foot massage included with a 70-min deep cleansing facial ($58). The only thing I didn't like is that my masseuse's phone kept ringing and she kept answering, but at the price there was no room for complaining. If you're worried, bring in your iPod. read more

I came here with a friend one night before closing -- around 9:30pm. We waited about 5 minutes and they had two chairs ready for us. I was a little concerned about getting the full-on $25 massage because I happened to be 26 weeks pregnant at the time, but the lady at the front desk assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I had Vincent (who has been mentioned in 2 other reviews here) and I have to agree that he was awesome! He had me sitting at a slight recline the whole time, and was kind enough to ask me throughout the massage if I had any pain or if my back was sore at all. The pressure was consistent throughout, and he avoided the areas on the foot that are known to cause pre-term labor. He did a great job on my face with the pressure points -- and during the massage I was thinking "WHY DOES THAT FEEL SO GOOD?" specifically when he did the cheek and eye points. And I don't know how he was able to massage under my shoulder blades when i was sitting in the chair, but he managed! I'm thankful I wasn't flipped over or subjected to any crazy positions, so I have to say this was one of the best Asian massages I've gotten ... Vincent truly knows what he's doing and was sensitive to my condition. He was the only masseuse wearing scrubs as well, I thought that was interesting ... 4 stars for the value AND the quality of the massage. read more

Updated review, based on my last two visits. 1. Came in to see a young man at the front desk picking his nose. Looked like it was the owner's son who is still in training. They said he would give me my massage. Ok, fine. His hands smelled strongly of cigarettes. Perhaps he did not wash them before giving a massage. Oh dear. The massage was VERY awkward. 2. Another attempt a few weeks ago. I walked in and they told me to come back in 20 minutes as someone was already getting a massage. I come back 15 minutes later and, oops!, they already took someone else. WTF. So yeah, I'm probably not going to be returning. read more

this isn't a whole day spa, its an in and out foot massage kinda place. The massage was great!! the lady really took her time and it felt like she totally cared and had a routine down. Started by soaking feet and a head massage. Then they do hand and arm massage while they take your feet out and wrap them in a towel. Then it moves onto the feet and calves. Very nice. Lastly you turn over on your tummy and put your face through a hidden hole in the back of the lounge chair, they line it was a paper so your face isn't touching where everyone else's face was. When on your tummy they massage your back and a little of your thighs and butt. They put a jasmine rice bag over your eyes so its nice and dark, the ONLY problem i had was the phone kept ringing and they would talk on the phone for a minute here and there. Its a really small place i think maybe 5-6 chairs max. The prices recently went up so a 60 minute foot massage is $22. A deluxe 75 minute foot massage is $32. This is significantly more expensive then other foot massage places but bc i live really close to this one and when i went there the for the first time she really treated me nice i am now going to continue to go here. Closed on mondays except for 'call in appts'. Going back as soon as i can! read more

Whatever you do, don't get the owner at the front desk to give you your massage... I booked my appt for two a week in advance....when we got there they were running 15 minutes late. No problem. My friend got an excellent massage from one of her guys. The owner left me after rubbing my head for 5 minutes... and went to answer the phone! She came back to tell me her employee was having trouble coming in. I said fine, but please don't leave the massage again, it's very distracting. Well she left me several times to get towels, get things organized and about 40 minutes into the 70 min massage, tells me she needs to go to the bank - and some guy that just arrived would take over! WTH? I told her thats ridiculous and totally unacceptable and she finished the massage very half-heartedly. The only reason I'm giving two stars is the foot paraffin wax was nice and my friend got a great massage. If you go here...listen to the many yelpers who've had the same experience and make sure you get a massage from one of her guys! read more

The massage was not the best, the person massaging me never asked me if I was feeling 'okay.' NOT attentive at all. Either way I always tip, but his approach was definitely rude.. read more

Atlantic Garden Spa - Atlantic Spa - Massage Near Me - Monterey Park, California

I called this place just now because i want to make sure they offer the type of massage that i wanted before i even start heading out there so i won't waste my time and drive if they don't. The owner/ the person i talked to was superrrr rude!! Told me exactly this with a Chinese accent and broken english that i can hardly understand!- "you are not allowed to ask questions on the phone! If you want answers then you have to come in person and look at the menu yourself. I am very busy and i have no time to answer your questions!" And then hung up the phone on me very rudely before i can even talk! U already lost a customer u haven't even gained yet! There is no way to make business/ money if your attitude is like that towards customers! I bet this place will get shut down soon if they continue this strategy. read more

Do not waste your time! Pro: foot paraffin wax, and price Con: Everything Else Went there to relieve some major back pain. Got there the beds are align in rows, there was absolutely no privacy. I got the bed right next to the cash register and entry so I could hear everybody phone conversations, along with customers constantly walking in and out. I was asked to pay upfront. During the "massage" as if it wasn't enough that I was fully clothed, she decided to place a towel over me as she "massaged" my back. She even thought it was a good idea to stand on my back. The worst massage ever! Then the other masseuse next to me decides to answer the phone while she is massaging the lady in the bed next to me. Save your money it is definitely not worth it. read more

Got a Groupon deal with my girl friend and checked this spot out. I highly recommend getting the body massage. Regular price is $45 for an hour and they use lavender oil. Owner is Lily, if you love strong hands, I highly recommend her. She was very tentative and asked where my problem areas were. Location is clean and very relaxing. Highly recommend calling to rsvp prior. Restrooms are located in the back. A key is needed to enter. They are open 7 days and accept cards! read more

This is the best massage place I ever had. The service is super. The place is quiet and clean. I will be back again for sure.

Great for the price! My best friend and I decided that we were in dire need of some inexpensive relaxation. I looked up and found this place on yelp and read a couple of reviews and was sold. It was a lot closer than the place she's used to going to in Pasadena and $5 cheaper. They have a buy 10 and and one free promo. I'm a person who loves spending the day at a spa, but when there isn't enough time to set up an appointment and such this is a great spot. I carry all my stress in my shoulders and upper back and he guy that worked on me sure noticed it. He got deep into the tissues and was able to break up any tightness I had. I highly recommend this place. It's in a small shopping center, but has plenty of parking. walk ins are welcome but they prefer if you make an appointment. We called 15 mins before. read more

I did not like the place. The masseuse was definitely not liking her job and did not look clean. I would not go here again.
