Been coming here for maintenance my health problem. Highly recommended this place. my period has been more regular after seeing Dr. chen.

Amazing skill and experience! She is a genius! Have used for over 30 years. Sore shoulder, neuropathy and others.

Just had my first acupuncture session ever with Dr. Chen and she was so thorough and kind. I have a lot of anxiety and ptsd from breast cancer treatment and she was very detail oriented. I am now a firm believer of acupuncture! Thank you Dr. Chen! read more

Dr. Chen really took an amazing care of me back in 2011. Her skills are amazing. Acupuncture is not a typical since and not everyone has the talent for it. She knows how to take care of variety of issues, from Anxiety to nerve and muscle pain. Since my visit I have referred at least about 20 of my friend and clients and everyone of them loved the way she worked her magic on them. With the covid19 I found more free time to finally write this review,, i should have done it long ago. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Chen for over fifteen years. Her facility is very clean, she is fluent in English, and she is just a very caring person. I really appreciate how patient and kind she is with me and my mom. There have been times when my mom has not been able to walk and has gone to see Dr. Chen and she comes out practically running. She is very good at her trade. Thank you Dr. Chen! I look forward to continuing to go to you. read more

Rude place. Just walked in wanting to get some information and before letting me talk I'm already getting cut off and didn't even get asked if I needed help. Worst place ever. If I can give 0 stars I would read more

Dr. Chen helped me regulate my period with her acupuncture, herbs, and diet/lifestyle recommendations. Highly recommended!

Dr. Chen is an absolute magician who has cured my lower back pain, shoulder imbalance and TMJ. The most significant part is that it only took one visit for each impairment to disappear. She's in this business to actually help her patients, as opposed to other acupuncturists who charge much more per visit and schedule multiple follow-ups in order to milk more money. read more

I would give no stars or negative if I could, but I have to give 1 so here it is. This place, I would not recommend to a family member, friend, or even a stranger. I was recommended by a colleague and I was beyond disappointed. RUDE!!! No compassion, no understanding, and no customer service! If these people are supposed healers, then they don't have the compassion for it. If they don't accept a customer because they don't fit the criteria, they lack the customer service to handle it. You don't have to be rude and not let other people talk. Practically push them out the door. These people need a basic class on human interaction. I'm somewhat glad cause I don't even want to give them my business. read more

The best Chinese Dr. ever. Dr Chen is very professional. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She is such a good Dr. I have been her patient for more than 10 years. When my babies were young, I couldn't find anyone to watch my kids and go see Dr. she'll let me put my kid in the stroller and have her assistant watched out for me. She understands her patients pain and suffering. When I was having chronic pain and called her. Even though her appointment was fully booked for the week, she will squeeze her lunch time to see me. Her medical skills is superb. I was suffering from trigger finger. Both my fingers couldn't bend for weeks. I saw her for 5 times and now I'm 99% healing. I can bend all my fingers completely just with some occasional tightness. I have seen so many Chinese Dr/ acupuncturist. Dr. Chen is the least painful, most professional, knowledgeable, and kindhearted. She is only charging $45 without insurance, where can you find a legit certified good Chinese Dr with this price in LA?! God bless her heart. She is honest and straightforward. Sometimes people misunderstand her as rude or unprofessional. But don't judge the book by the cover, Dr Chen always has a good reason behind. read more

She is very sweet and friendly and gets down to business by first asking you about your diet and other health issues. She made suggestions on how making changes to my diet and exercise routine could also lead to positive benefits. She gave me suggestions on incorporating a daily stretching routine and that has been helpful. The clinic is very clean and accommodating, usually in and out of there in about one hour. As far as the acupuncture sessions, they have been great. Feeling a lot better from my lower back/sciatica. Will go back every so often for a tune-up if I have been driving or working out a lot. Highly recommend this joint. FYI I only speak English and Spanish, but have no trouble communicating with folks there. read more

Dr.Chen Knows exactly what she's doing and practicing. Took in a family member that was recently Diagnosed with Bells Palsy. Obviously we went to the E.R first got medication and what not after we decided to call Dr.Cheng which we found on yelp as well. Over the phone she was very profesional and polite gave us a thorough run down on what is not good to eat while having Bells Palsy and what not to drink (which she didn't have too but did so anyway) Scheduled an app and did Acupuncture VERY affordable prices and just A+ service with everything. Will definitely come back! read more

First time trying acupuncture in my life. Trying to treat my frozen shoulder. Dr Chen knew this is my first time and she was being very gentle and take it easy on me. Besides treating me, she go over my history and give me nutrient advise on what to eat and not eat to keep my joint and immune healthy. She is a very caring doctor. Such a nice first impression I have with her. Very professional. read more

I was referred to this acupuncturist by a good friend who is a long time patient. I usually have Acupuncturist for my physical pain. However my wife has been suffering from really painful periods in which shows and shivering pain. She had this for two months and realize something is wrong with her body. We tried Western medicine but we were not able to find any issues. Doctor Chen was able to help her relieve her symptoms and have more regular cycles. And she no longer has the pain it has more smooth cycles. For me, I have been battling with allergies for a long time and made worse with being indoors a lot due to Covid. I have been taking the herbal medicine and fell improvements to my allergies into my overall well-being. The affects of eastern medicine 10 to be slow but effective. Overall, I feel that my energy level has been higher and there's a smoothness in my system that happened only during my high school years. We are still receiving treatments every week and the price is very reasonable. Given the high volume customers, I would not expect the five star service you are seeking. However, the treatment is very effective, very affordable, and health of your internal issues. read more

I'm an Old Patient. Dr Chen deserves more than 10 stars. She is professional, honest and most of all she healed me that no other Internal medicine or specialist provider could do. A Million thanks to you Dr. Chen. My Ovaries are Healthy & Happy again. Life is Good. read more

Don't believe what the positive reviews said. I'm actually shocked to see this place had more than 4 stars . The doctor is very rude, probably one of the rudest doctors I've ever seen. And just like one of the other reviews said , she called me a liar, too. Is that how you should treat your patients when they are paying you? I almost wanted to just leave and slash the door on her face but I managed to keep calm. Also she alleged I have some kind of disease, which, I got an ultrasound later and I definitely don't have that. It seems she just liked to make judgements without any evidence to scare her patients. All my statements above are true and honest. read more

This is a small clinic *feels like that* located right before ELAC. Plenty of parking in this plaza and generally not much traffic here, which is awesome to find parking. What's great about her, it's right next to my dentist office. =) I did not even know until I went there. I have major aches and pains for about 3 years but my primary doctor is not helpful. She only suggests blood test, which i have taken 3 last year but everything is fine. The reason for delayed visit is due to my phobia of needles. Everyone knows I can take pain except for needles,I am the biggest baby when it comes to this subject. But I finally gave in when I started having other symptoms. Making an appointment was easy but nerve wrecking. Sorry, back to the doctors office lol. There's a few chairs in the waiting room but I have only waited here under 4 mins each time. Highly suggest making an appointment because she gets booked fast. You should try making it a few days before your desired time frame, for a more efficient visit. For your first visit, she sits you down and goes over the procedure. To be quite honest, she knew more about my pains and aches more then my doctor. My consultation was over 40 mins. She knew right away what's causing the pain and suggest how to make it better, all without even an xray. I only wish she could be my primary doctor but she is only internal medicine. For the treatment she put cups on my back as layed there. **WARNING- you have to wear the hospital gowns, so be prepared to be almost naked. The doctor is the only one to enter though. ** I was expecting some kind of discomfort but felt relief when I experienced none. I actually fell asleep, lol until the doctor came back. Now for the gut-wrenching part, THE NEEDLES. I was getting the cold sweat and tumbles for being so nervous until she stuck the needle in. What needle? I Felt nothing as I layed there speechless. She was talking about the things I need to do to improve my symptoms as a distraction and it worked like a charm. Fell asleep like a baby, when I heard the machine beeped like a congratulations song. She then came in, cracked my neck as I sighed a relief. Ahhhhhh. I instantly felt great as can move my neck. It felt so good, I almost wanted to do a cartwheel but stopped, I can't do one anyways. Lol. My experience here had opened new doors for me, belonephobia or trypanophobia had taken my life since I was young but not anymore (I'll try). =) I have to go back bi-weekly so will report back with several treatments in. Thank you for reading. =) Price is fair, cupping and needles were $40. read more

I did not have as good an experience as all of the other reviewers here. The initial consultation with Dr. Chen was very thorough and her knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine put me at ease. I went in for the electric acupuncture therapy and it was fairly standard. However, I had several issues: it seems like most people are charged $40 per session -- I was charged $165 the first time ($40 consultation fee, $60 acupuncture, and the rest on some herbal packets that were not clearly explained to me) and $60 for each session thereafter. After the first session, I didn't see Dr. Chen anymore, but her assistant/male doctor. He is not nearly as good as she is and is not as caring or careful in doing the treatments. The girl at the front desk is not very friendly, either. read more

Excellent 1st visit. Mild lower back pain was resolved. Lower- cost than normal treatments. Dr. uses "cupping' which is sort of acupuncture "lite". You millage may vary (i.e- traditional needles sometimes more effective?). read more

Amazing doctor. I have came here for several times already, and a lot of my annoying pain gradually vanished. There was a time I visited another supposed-to-be-excellent and famous eastern doctor, but ended up badly and costly. That was the time that I realized how lucky I was to know doctor Ming Chen. I had have several discomfort there and here as well as acne issues when first time coming here. I had always considered myself as healthy. I worked out three times a week, slept before 11 pm and avoided anything that is too sweet, but still, the pain and acne still not go away. However, everything changed after I met Dr. Ming Chen. She knows almost everything and help me kindly. She even called me outside of the clinic just for telling me that what I could eat and do right now in order to improve my health. I am greatly appreciate for her help. Now my overall health situation has been better. I sincerely suggest anyone who is trying to improve your health condition to come here. You won't regret. read more

I've been coming here for the past 6mos for fertility and Dr. Chen is very good and kind she genuinely cares and wants to help her patients. Her fees are very good at $40 per session unlike most places. She also accepts insurance and you would only be paying your co-pay. She's friendly and very smart and knows her eastern medicine. Her practice is clean and as inviting as it can be for Acupunture sessions. I'd recommend her to anyone. read more

My experience with Dr. Ming Chen has been positive thus far. I have had five treatments for tightness to my lower extremities. I drive long distances at times or am in the car more than I would like. I have been to see the doctor thus far to relieve tightness to my quads. I also have soreness to said area. Thus far things are looking up. The doctor uses a different technique than the usual treatment for acupuncture, rather the needle housed in a plastic sheath is inserted subcutaneously. I had never experienced acupuncture in this manner and think that this is making the difference. Now I have to give the healing time. read more

Came here due to back pain. Ming is very nice and knowledgeable. She was even nice enough to write out in Chinese the herbs I needed to take. I only did a few treatments of cupping and with her using that electrical machine with the needles. I can't say it was the best treatments because I've had better but I appreciated her politeness and the fact that she can speak English is great. Parking lot is shared with other business and you can always find a spot out front. The front desk lady never smiles and I think is a limited English speaker. Call to make an appointment since she is usually booked. read more

She is very good and nice. She would know when I had my period by feeling my pulse, I was shock. She said I will get pregnant in two months on the first visit. Then the next two visit she said she will try, and here I am pregnant after two months of seeing her. I am so grateful thanks Dr. Ming Chen. read more

Dr. Chen has been well known among my friends and I certainly got recommended by friends. Now I love to recommend her to anyone!! My husband and I have tried to have a baby for 4 years. We haven't got any good news till I have few visits with Dr. Chen. I am a good patient. I follow all the treatments she recommended (mostly acupuncture) and changing my diet a little bit and also take non- medicine supplements. I just love her way on suggesting many non- chemical supplements or food which are able to heal human body already! Now I see her as my primary Chinese Doctor. I love her honesty, excellent acupuncture skills, and natural healing ways! Highly recommended her to everyone. Especially for those who having problem to have a baby should give it a try!!! read more

I don't know if they're husband and wife or not but these people have no mannerism. They are so loud and rude!! I don't know if they were fighting or not because they were speaking Chinese but everytime they talked. They sounded like they were fighting and it's so loud. It's more like a Meat Market than a Clinic . sometimes they were mad or something and they started throwing things around. I took my mom, she didn't feel better but worst and we'll never come back. They need to be gentle and quiet since patients come in for a reason, because they are all sick. we don't come here to get terrorized in our ears!! read more

I saw Ms. Chen 2 years ago for my acne problem. At that time I was refered by 4 ladies who saw her for other reasons. Two of them saw results while the other 2 did not. My adult acne started 3 years ago. I never had such problem so i decided to give Ms. Chen a try. I saw her for half a year in a row and stopped. During the first session she basically diagnosed me with PCOS told me what food to avoid and to drink red date water when period came. I was shocked as 4 western doctors (just regular MDs in the USA) I consulted all ruled out PCOS. Ms. Chen then said those doctors did not do a thorough check. Therefore in next 6 months, I was very worried and followed whatever Ms. Chen suggested and received acupunture performed by her. For a few times she made me bleed on legs and she said that was normal. I took her words but next time she still made me bleed. She also asked me to try whole grain food only and said that her acupuncture will make me lose weight. I did lose lots of weight but acne was still there. No improvement. Then she said i did not eat what she suggested. At one point, she said I lied to her. I felt very bad. It was hard to talk to her if she felt challenged. Later on, I found out i lost weigh not because of her acupuncture but because I completely replaced white carb with whole grain. I finally stopped seeing her because of her arrogant attitude and zero improvement on my acne that time. In the past few months, I cut oatmeal and whole wheat bread (as she strongly suggested). I found that my acne drastically improved. It is the time that I decide to leave a comment here. I know some people strongly believe in her and that's why she received so many positive reviews. However, I think her methods do not fit all. read more

She only looked at me and knew my problem. I hope we can fix things in a safe and effective way. Only $40 for a treatment.

Very personable and sincere person. Straight out telling you what you shouldn't eat and should eat. Knowledgeable about both western and eastern medicine. Good prices too, $10 each visit and $40 for acupuncture. read more

Very nice doctor, referred by a friend of mine and I felt better right away every time after the treatment. She speaks fluent English and can interpret my lab report. And as most reviews says, she is vert smart and know what she is doing. One thing to note is she is always fully booked on most days, so please make sure you make appointment before you come. She has her price clearly listed on the counter. You pay $40 for acupuncture or cupping treatment with consultation and $20 for consultation only. She also accepts insurance if your insurance covers acupuncture and the type of treatment you received and you pay the co-pay. She does not sell herbal medicine in her office. We always go to a Chinese herbal shop and buy there based on her herbal prescription. I have been there 3 times, Dr. Chen always perform the treatment/consultation herself, never seen any male assistance. I saw other acupuncture clinic in the same block, so make sure you go to the right Ms Chen. She has her name Ming Chen on the clinic window. read more

Look no further!!! Best acupuncturist on the face of the Earth! Dr. Ming Chen has efficiently cured me from a very bruised, almost dislocated left jaw after an accident in 2012 (savings of over 3K compared to a TMJ treatment) and she just finished a 4-session treatment to relieve me from chronic sciatica pain due to I have a herniated lumbar disk on my back. I feel much better, stronger now than after my 18 sessions of PT at UCLA last year. She's not only a good doctor, she's a good listener, she drafts a treatment for your whole being not just the specific problem. Dr. Chen has always been super nice to me, and with such a heavy schedule (Mon-Sun) I honestly find that admirable! I trust her a ton, I will continue to come to her to continue to built on my overall health. God bless you Dr. Chen! Payment-wise I prefer to pay cash as, I have an Aetna HMO coverage that takes forever to pre-approve these type of sessions and time is of the essence when treating sciatica. Plus, cost-benefit, this is a very inexpensive practice for all the good you'll get. read more

I really loved Dr. Chen. This was my first experience with acupuncture and cupping so I have no reference to compare it to. However I think Dr Chen is fabulous. I felt comfortable with her and she talks to you and gives you advice on diet (if necessary in your case) on what tests to have done at your doctor's office (again if applicable) and just general advice. She is awesome. My treatment was light because it was my first experience with acupuncture and I am glad she proceeded cautiously. I will be going back for another treatment I highly recommend Dr Chen. read more
