I'd been there on Monday nights when they have a limited menu, and everything was always incredibly good. Tonight we took my dad there for his 91st Birthday celebration, and the food was insanely good. I had the Gorgonzola Twin Medallions of Fillet Mignon. Wow. Incredibly tender and tasty. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The only drawback is the main dining room doesn't have much to deaden the sound so if there's a large group nearby it can get noisy. Last meal I had out that came close to this was at Croce's in San Diego. read more

Wellington is my all time favorite restaurant! We love going there for the food, the friendliness of the staff and the coziness of the restaurant. Nice place for a romantic dinner. You will never be disappointed, as the quality of the food is always predictable. If you like fresh fish, they do have a variety of fish dishes. My favorite is the sole milanese with panko breadcrumbs. Also their filet mignon is always done to perfection. I usually get it with sauteed mushrooms. Their signature dessert is the crepe with russian ice cream and bananas - to die for. It is a nice sized portion but because it is so good, I do not share!!! read more

Went with a large group for dinner at Wellingtons on a Friday night. We were seated in a separate room which made the dining experience very nice and intimate with our group. Service: The service is amazing. The wait staff knows their stuff. The endless specials are memorized by the staff and they were fantastic at answering any questions regarding each dish in specifics. Food: The appetizers and food came out in timely manner and exactly as requested. Everyone order steaks at various stages of being cooked and all were perfect. I had the Cajun strip steak and it was delicious. Overall, the food and service is something you can complain about. You will spend a decent amount of money so this is probably for special occasions vs a random weekday meal. read more

I could not let this day go by without giving a 5 star review on this amazing restaurant. My husband and I can here a few weeks ago for the first time. Service and food were AMAZIN! Last night decided to bring the kids. Again, GREAT food.. GREAT service. Unfortunately; I forgot my purse and did no notice until today, which is Sunday and they are closed. I searched everywhere and came across the owners email. She reached out immediately and had the AMAZING bartender drove in and opened the resta to get me my bag. I can not express how much it meant. Had a wonderful dining experience. Definitely will go back. Husband had the pork chops I had the fish dish. We had soup to nuts. Soups were fantastic, French onion and cream of asparagus. Shrimp cocktail 1-10. A 10 yummy. Salads are awesome hubby had the Caesar salad he loved the anchovies. I had the house Real good home made dressings and presented elegantly not your typical bagged iceberg lettuce with added vegetables. Bread was refilled as were waters. Can't believe it took me so long to find this restaurant. I found this restaurant on trip advisor and saw it had good reviews so we decided to go check it out. It is a hard place to find it pushed all the way in back behind a plaza, but once you find it you won't be disappointed. The owner is so nice and welcoming she made it seem like we known each other for years. All of the waitstaff helps out all tables so the service is fantastic. We had two appetizers stuff Gorgonzola clams and beet goat cheese salad both were outstanding. We got one pasta dish, one beef dish and one seafood dish and weren't disappointed with anything. I don't remember the last time I scrapped my plate clean and the only thing I left on my plate was the parsley garnish. Prices are reasonable and serving size are generous. I moved to Connecticut about 3 months ago and this is the BEST restaurant I've been to so far...and I go out to eat about every single day. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about every single dish they serve. We had a male waiter and he listed like 10 specials all from his memory...in detail. He also has the dessert menu memorized as well. And he was super attractive and nice. The food was impeccable! The bread that they serve is amazing! It's like a sourdough bread that crusted with sesame seeds. We had the fried calamari and stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. Both of which were delicious. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and it was delicious. So flavorful and creamy. I love mushrooms! I tried some of my dad's prime rib that was on the special and it was great as well. Charred to perfection! There were way too many good dessert to choose from. I went with the brownie. So good! Overall, the food is so delicious and the service is outstanding! Felt a bit uncomfortable walking in early for dinner on a Saturday night. Greeted fairly quickly and asked if we had a reservation. Only saw people sitting at a bar which wasnt impressive and all empty tables in the fairly small dining area. They said they can squeeze us in and placed us in a far back corner. Service was not on par sorry and food was not as great as one would hope for the price. I get it. It's a local place that may seem fancy to some who are out on a date but I will travel a little further to enjoy a meal I will remember and rave about. read more

Love love love this restaurant, a family favorite. Best food and service in the area. Food comes out timely and is always cooked to perfection and HOT- not luke warm or cold but HOT. Crispy Chicken, chefs filet or the cajun sirloin are my favorites. No skimpy baby pours here either, martinis and wine are real pours. Restaurant is very clean. Expect orated specials and dessert, quick drink deliveries and your water always filled to the top as well. They also have a bar where the regular menu is also served. read more

First time...enjoyable meal, nice menu with plenty of options, very friendly staff...food came out fast and was cooked well....I ordered the chicken arugula and my husband ordered the duck. While the food was good, I am not certain if it was worth the price. Initially, I was very impressed with the wait staff but disappointed at the end of our meal when we were given the bill and told to take our time simultaneously. Then while my husband and I were still obviously figuring out the bill (wallet was open, money in my husband's hand, calculator pulled up on my phone) the waitress came back and asked if we were all set or needed change. Frist first time here at Wellingtons, service and food was five star. For starters had the French onion soup which is very good and well prepared. For main course had the duck with With peppercorn Glaze my wife had the fish of the day codfish special both were large portions with excellent taste and well-prepared and then for dessert we shared the White Russian ice cream no one person can finish it.
