My experience with Dr. Pak was a nightmare of deception, negligence, and financial exploitation disguised as "wellness." She failed to properly inform me about the risks of the Straumann implant, and worse, she failed to disclose that she placed it poorly. She also hid her plan to use a cheap resin crown, which was easy and profitable for her to put in. The crown she gave me was ugly, cheap, and poorly made, yet she billed it as a high-quality porcelain crown to my insurance, maxing out my coverage and making me pay full price for her mistake. See the picture. Dr. Pak's "wellness" approach is really just about the wellness of her bank account. A year later, the issue remains unresolved. Maybe I just had a horrible dentist before, but the amount of care I received here was amazing. When I first walked in, it literally felt like I was at a spa. Like a dental spa. There was calm piano music playing, the office was beautiful, and all the ladies at the front desk were so welcoming and nice. Dr. Pak truly cares about her patients. She treated me with kindness, made sure I was comfortable, made sure I knew what was happening with my treatment, and that I was okay with everything . I took my 5yo and 3yo for their exam + cleaning. Everyone was friendly. Exam and cleaning was quick, and neither of my kids cried!! I also had a cleaning and exam the following week. Dr L is relatable and friendly. She offered different services but was not pushy at all. What I didn't know was that our insurance didn't completely cover. I have delta dental ppo and WBD is not in network with ours. It was a misunderstanding when I spoke to the front desk staff because they cover delta dental premier (not ppo). So we were billed almost 3/4 of the total cost of exam and cleaning for everyone. I called the staff, who forwarded me to Monica, and she was so kind to waive our bill and explain what had happened. We will be changing our insurance to premier so we can continue to go to wellbeing. Thank you! read more

You know that person who hasn't gone to the dentist in a decade and only goes because teeth need to be pulled out? Well that's me! That WAS me. I had gone to several other dentists and would never return. I would cry and not cooperate. My husband and all 3 children had been seeing Dr Pak for somewhere close to 15 years. It's only in the past 3 years that I took the leap and went. I explained my anxiety and from the moment I walked in they were so patient and kind. I always appreciate how Dr Pak explains her process before and during a procedure. I've had some major work done and not once have I hesitated to go to an appointment because of anxiety or fear. Dr Pak along with her entire staff are friendly, professional and well informed. Aside from my own personal experience, my three kids love her as well. They have no fear when going to the dentist because they've had someone so great since the beginning. My boys, 16 and 11, started going around age 2. This was my first time going to Well Being Dentistry and it was the worst dental experience I've ever had. They are disorganized, and they got both my date of birth and name wrong even though I gave both through phone as well as through the written forms. They also made me fill out parts of the forms again even though I had already done them prior to visiting the office. They kept trying to push wisdom teeth removal and orthodontics on me even though I told them multiple times I wasn't interested. Teeth cleaning was very rough and I had to ask them to be more gentle. My gums started bleeding. The visit was almost two hours just for X-rays and cleaning, whereas my previous dentist did everything in half an hour. The rooms are cramped and I saw trash cans overflowing. The dentist and dental assistants kept leaving the room every few minutes. The dentist made me feel bad about my crooked but healthy teeth and kept telling me that I needed ortho and that in order for me to get my teeth fixed, I would then also need all of my wisdom teeth removed. After the visit, the woman at the front desk pulled out a list of potential costs, at which point I realized why they were so keen on pushing extraction and braces. Though one of the dental assistants was kind to me, I would have to say this was overall a very negative experience and I will be looking for dental services elsewhere. read more

As of this writing, I've been seeing Dr. Pak for over 10 years, and so have my husband and kids. I like that she and all of the practitioners she hires are thoughtful, gentle and kind, beyond being technically very competent and using top-notch and high quality equipment. I sought her out after I had a particularly brutal experience at another dentist's office who used a lot of contraptions in my mouth to perform some rather lengthy procedures. It took me over a month to recover, but the worst part was that my lips were torn and the inside of my mouth (cheeks and gums) had several cuts and lesions. Long dental procedures are rough to begin with, but this kind of trauma seemed to be avoidable. From applying Vaseline on lips so they don't get stretched, to supplying entertainment while you're in the chair with TV's mounted on the ceiling, staff are trained to be tuned in to the patient's comfort. Add to this that before Dr. Pak, I had a cavity every time I went to the dentist, and yet, since I've been seeing her regularly have not had hardly any cavities! She works hard to educate her patients, find solutions that work for them (special toothpastes, mouth-guards, etc), and is personable and relatable, creating a real connection with her patients. My son has also had braces with her and we've been very satisfied. And she has even explored alternative solutions for my other kids who would not have the follow-through to take good care of braces. She has my very highest recommendation: I've never met such an outstanding, professional, kind and gentle dentist! read more

Dr.Pak is an Angel. My mom and dad both come here and always raves about how amazing of a dentist and person Dr.Pak is. I have anxiety with the dentist like most people, but everyone here makes you feel at ease. The office itself is also beautiful and decorated to make you feel kind of at home. Dr. L did my cleaning and she was great as well! She was super sweet and kept checking in on me making sure I wasn't too uncomfortable or in pain. After that, Dr.Pak came to do my exam and talk to me about my X-rays. She is truly a genuine and sweet person and is an incredibly skilled dentist. Dr. Pak thoroughly examined my teeth and referred me to a Stanford Sleep Study unit for possible sleep apnea. When I completed the sleep study at Stanford, my doctor and I learned that I don't breathe every 10 minutes, disturbing the quality of night rest and causing other medical issues such as possible heart attack and shortness of breath during sleep. She saved my life. And with the C-PAP breathing device, I have been sleeping soundly and without teeth grinding. Dr. Pak's detail and thorough dental work (craftmanship) are high quality, and the outcome of the work is superb. Attention to detail and cheerful bedside manner make her stand out from the rest of the dentists. Lastly, I appreciate her honesty and conservative approach to resolving dental problems. I have met many dentists, most of whom are very cost sensitive. In other words, they suggested high-cost treatment such as a crown or even a tooth implant when I just needed a simple filling. I am glad I went to Dr. Pak for a second opinion and proceeded with her recommendation. Finding an honest, caring, and qualified doctor in the dental industry is rare. They just care about money. I scheduled a cleaning apt with Dr. Pak but when i went there she said it is too trivial and her assistant will do it. I hesistantly agreed. After the appointment the receptionist seemed only interested in free cleanings. She scheduled my next cleaning a month later to maximize billing to the insurance since we were close to year end. I decided never to go there but they keep haressing me with regular phone calls/emails. After marking their phone calls and email as spam I still get physical mails one year later. Maybe they should spend this energy in caring for their patients instead of trying to make the most money possible. read more

This left me seeking out dental care to fix her disastrous repairs. My new dentist couldn't believe her style of repair. Very inviting for germs to enter and they did, destroying my tooth. I had to find a dentist that accepts my insurance and I am so happy with my choice! So far I had a few fillings and a cleansing done and everybody has been super nice. I am super stressed when it comes to my teeth but dr Pak and her staff are very gentle and calming. I hate going to the dentist. No seriously. You put me in the chair, tilt me back and I become a stiff board with my hands balled into fists across my waist. I barely breathe and when I do it's a giant sigh because I've been holding my breath. it took Dr. Pak a couple of appointments and some serious discussion to finally ease me into regular dental care without the need for serious medication to get in the door. I bring my Iphone and ear buds, plug in and crank the music selections (yeah, I have dental playlists) until it's over. It's been a couple of years. I had some major issues. I've had a root canal, a couple of caps and removal of all of my metal filings. I've got healthy gums and teeth now and I'm a happy, smiling person. Okay.. I am getting older and finding that in my 50s, not much scares me. The top three are: 3. Earthquakes in the night - You wake up not knowing if it is in the beginning, middle or the end and will I be able to get my pants on before I die. 2. Spiders - They are just creepy. Especially Black Widows! And the number one fear... 1. Dentist - Don't know what experience in my life did this to me, but the older I get, the more fear I experience. Understanding this, I hope it accentuates my review. Recently, half of a 10 year old (temporary) filling came out. A month later the other half came out. Then a few short days after than, a chunk of tooth came out. The wife told me that I had to go to the dentist. The fear welled up inside of me and the fear was overwhelming. I had goose bumps and night sweats. I did this for another two weeks before I finally started looking for a dentist. My requirements were simple. 1.They had to take my insurance, so I started on the insurance company website. 2. I had to be able to defend myself from a drill wheeling maniac who would have my life in their hands. This ruled out all of the men dentist. So I searched for a (small) woman and fount Dr. Pak. I called, they set me up with an appointment for the next day. I actually showed up! The staff was caring, friendly and awesome. No one made fun of my irrational fear. They took pictures, gave me a quote for a crown (very reasonable) and let me know that my insurance would cover most of it. I just had a small amount due. They had friendly smiles and caught me in a good mood, so I said, "lets go for it." They started right away. Dr. L (really that's all that is on her name tag), was super sweet, numbed me up and started drilling. Her soft voice and the classical music in the background was soothing. The also let me hold onto a stuffed Nemo fish. Dr. Pak then came in and introduced herself, talked to me and smiled enough to calm my nerves. She then promised not to hurt me and finished up the prep for the crown. She informed me of every step along the way and fitted me with a temporary crown. We set up the follow-up appointment and I went on my way. There was no pain after the numbing wore off. I had to reschedule my follow-up 2 times because of work conflict. No problem! Finally got in, got my crown and am extremely happy. Since my alternator went out and I coasted into the parking lot, I knew I would be walking home to deal with it later. When I told her that, she offered to have one of her staff give me a ride. I declined, but she still made me drink water before I left due to the heat wave. I feel loved!
