They were FAST. appointment was early 9am so that could be part of it. Almost no waiting to be called back. The hygienist was great with kids. The dentist was nice. They were quick and talked to him the way toddlers need to be talked to. Kind and sweet. He got to pick a toothbrush (BLUEY) and stickers. This place was recommended by our regular pediatrician and I have no complaints.

However, when I later tried to obtain my dental records, I was told they had already been deleted from their system. These were my personal medical records, and I was never notified that they would be removed or given the opportunity to receive a copy. It has been less than five years since I was a patient there. At a minimum, patients should be notified and given the option to receive their records before they are deleted--especially when a practice changes ownership. It would have been very easy to send them by email or provide instructions on how to obtain them. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I hope the practice improves how it handles patient records during ownership transitions so that other patients do not lose access to their own medical information.

However, on the morning of the appointment, I was informed that the appointment had been canceled because they claimed I did not confirm it. The problem is that I did reply to their confirmation message on Friday morning around 11 a.m., well before the office closed that day. When I asked how my confirmation was somehow not received before closing time, the staff member refused to explain and told me it was "not my business." I found the communication unprofessional and dismissive, especially given that I had been waiting weeks for this appointment and had concerns about my tooth. I understand scheduling mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled left me very disappointed.

I previously had a root canal done here, and just two years later, I'm already dealing with additional issues related to that tooth. That alone raises concerns about the quality of care. On top of that, I was told I needed nearly double the number of fillings compared to another dentist I had seen for a second opinion. The only reason I proceeded with this office initially was because they accepted my insurance, unlike the other provider. Another major concern is that Dr. Kevin told me he would fix additional cavities at the same time as my root canal, and I was charged for those fillings. However, when I recently saw a new dentist, I was informed that no additional cavities had actually been filled--only the root canal was completed. Being charged for procedures that do not appear to have been done is extremely concerning. What was especially upsetting was the way I was treated when I mentioned to the hygienist that I had recently had a baby and wondered if pregnancy or morning sickness may have impacted my dental health. Instead of a professional or informative response, both the hygienist and Dr. Kevin dismissed my concern and implied that I was "blaming my kids" for poor dental hygiene, which felt judgmental and uncalled for. Overall, I would not recommend Dr. Kevin or this office. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and questionable treatment recommendations--along with billing concerns--make it hard to trust the care provided here. Update: I left the same review on Google. The office responded by not only stating that I was never treated by Dr. Kaluser (this is a lie), but also revealing details regarding my treatment history online (HIPAA violation) and also saying that they are looking through my medical charts (which is not medically necessary-also a HIPAA violation).
