I love the attention to details of the staff and Dentist. They are also family oriented.

I show up a couple minutes early and they are right back getting scene. This is usually unheard of in a medical office. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist I highly recommend this place.

So, my daughter was very nervous and also has sensory challenges, which made a very stressful situation for her. Dr. Amy was amazing! She talked to my daughter so respectfully and lovingly. She tried to empower my daughter and give her confidence - She never once looked impatient or made my daughter feel bad about crying and being so anxious. That's not just a fantastic dentist, that's a beautiful person! Also, Dr. Amy's entire staff was wonderful. I don't know her name, but the assistant in the room was so calming, and a total Pro. Kate on the phones is a class act - never made me feel uncomfortable about asking questions and was extremely helpful. As a parent, I could not have wished for a more knowledgeable, kind and professional dentist. Also, just a great role model for my young daughter - to see a brilliant woman dentist also be so kind and compassionate. And believe me....not all "pediatric dentists" are created equal...I've gone to 2 complete duds before I found Dr. Amy. I drive from OP to E. Amherst, which on a good day is a 45 minute drive with Transit road lights and traffic. But, after seeing how skilled Dr. Amy and her team are, I would certainly drive even further.

Only after she removed my existing tooth material did she bother to check if she actually had a matching composite color in stock. She did not.She then struggled significantly to shape the new tooth to match my other front tooth, explicitly stating to me that she "is not used to doing square teeth." After three failed attempts in the chair, I left. Over the weekend, it became clear how badly she botched the job--I was left with a visible, uneven gap in the front of my mouth. When I called to reschedule and fix this, Dr. Zaman personally called me back and stated she would rather just issue me a full refund so I could go elsewhere. However, on the day of my rescheduled date, the office called me twice asking why I missed the appointment. The front desk had absolutely no record or knowledge of Dr. Zaman offering a refund.Nobody in this office knows what is going on. I am currently out $551, walking around with a botched front tooth, and being given the run-around by management. I want my $551 refunded immediately so I can pay a competent dentist to fix this mess. Avoid this location.

He should not be working with the public. His interaction alone with me makes me want to leave this group I've been at for years because of how awful he made me feel. After scanning reviews I see there are several complaints about him. I will definitely be mentioning this when I call in the morning. I will also be looking for a new practice since they seem to think it's ok for doctors to behave so disgustingly to their patients.

Deeply Disappointing Experience:…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but parents deserve to know what they may be walking into. Our experience at University Pediatric Dentistry has been nothing short of condescending, dismissive, and frankly, deplorable in terms of quality of care. We originally brought my daughter here for routine cleanings. At a previous visit, we were told she needed all of her baby teeth capped because "she didn't have adult teeth underneath," along with multiple extractions. That alone raised red flags, so we went straight to the top prosthodontist at Oishei Children's Hospital for a second opinion. After new X-rays and a thorough exam, the specialist told us her oral hygiene was excellent, the teeth did not need to be capped, and with future orthodontic work we could make a clear plan for prosthetics down the road. She even sent a letter of her findings. We then took that letter to one of the top-rated orthodontists in the area, who fully agreed. Fast forward to our most recent cleaning at University Pediatric Dentistry. The moment we shared the medical findings from Oishei, the hygienist became cold and condescending. Her tone and comments were so inappropriate that my daughter -- who walked in feeling confident and proud of her progress -- ended up in tears. That alone is inexcusable. The dentist then told me he did not agree with either of the other two highly regarded specialists and insisted one tooth "really needed to come out." Fine -- if it needs to be pulled, let's pull it. But he refused to do it in the office. He told me she must go downtown to be fully sedated. I explained I have called that office twice and was told we would need to pay $250 upfront and that it cannot be billed or broken into installments. As a parent living paycheck to paycheck, that is simply not feasible. I asked if we could do it across multiple office visits or discuss alternatives, and he refused. His exact position was that full sedation was "in her best interest," yet he would not treat the child under his care unless it was paid in full, upfront. I keep asking myself: What kind of pediatric dentist claims to be acting in a child's best interest, then refuses to treat her unless the payment structure fits their rules? I was not refusing to pay -- I was asking for a reasonable, humane option. My daughter left this office crying, anxious, and biting her nails after previously feeling relieved and empowered by the doctors at Children's Hospital. No parent should have to watch that. Do not go here. There are far better, more compassionate providers in Buffalo. Your child deserves to feel safe, respected, and cared for -- not dismissed, or shamed. And parents shouldn't leave feeling intimidated.

I explained to them that ive never had this problem in Niagara Falls and my special needs daughter should be referred to Children's where she gets any work done because she has to be sedated and that them not accepting insurance is a very big inconvenience for parents. The supervisor told me they will not do that because they already put the work order in for her there. they were very rude to me over the phone and even hung up on me. They sent me a letter stating that my children will no longer be able to be serviced at their office. Horrible and stressful experience. I wouldnt recommend anyone take their children there. They are very rude and the anesthesiologist doesn't even accept insurance.
