Nurse Julie was outstanding with him, and he was all smiles the whole visit (and even let her polish his teeth with no trepidation!). First let me say that I have no fear of dentistry at all so you can read the review with that in mind and imagine how it would be for someone who does have these issues. Recently I had something ,other than my usual every six month cleaning year after year, occur and I needed it handled as soon as possible. I called my usual Amherst office and explained the situation to the office staff who were very nice and had me speak to Dr Laura Littman. Dr Littman was absolutely wonderful. She understood my concern and wanted to get me in the correct situation as soon as possible. She was so very helpful in getting me in to the Orchard Park office that day. When I arrived at the Orchard Park office their staff was so welcoming. Nikki ( assistant) and Dr Fallon never made me feel like I disrupted their schedule. Dr Fallon asked questions and listened to the answers. Asked if the angle of the chair was comfortable for me, generally was very conscious of me as a patient my comfort and any possible concerns. He resolved the issue and gave me all the information I needed. His chair side manner was above and beyond doctors in any science. The checkout staff was equally thoughtful and helpful topping off the whole experience with kindness. I can't express my thanks enough and how impressed I was by everyone from my first phone call to the Amherst office to checking out at the Orchard Park office, by everyone.

I've actually been a patient myself here and they've always taken care of me. But this time when the lingual wire behind my bottom teeth had broke and was tearing up my tongue ( talk about pain!) over the course of a few days and seeing their office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I promptly called Monday morning and left a message ( which I had to recall them because they never got back to me ) then to my dismay after explaining what I thought to be a rather sudden emergency, I was told they couldn't fit me in for another 10 DAYS !!! I was out of my mind crazy, especially since I've spent 12 years going there (4 years for each child and myself) and I know they usually have a morning window for emergencies. The woman who I was talking to made me feel like she was DOING ME A FAVOR by giving me an appointment 10 days from now. Made me feel like it wasn't an emergency, well, I beg to differ on that. Because it wasn't tearing up HER tongue. Finally after having to raise my blood pressure on this call, she was going to have to get back to me because she has to "move patients around". She did call me back about two hours later and was able to get me in the next morning. Egad!!! I guess if things like these change so does my rating. Hence 3 stars.

We weren't happy with that practice for many reasons, and Altman Dental was recommended to us by many families that we are friends with. He sees me and my husband and even my 9 year old! He LOVES Dr. Altman ( even more than his Pediatrician which says a lot!). I just came here to say that I always have a great experience with the front desk ladies, while I'm in the chair Dr. Altman is conversational and is humorous and informative and explains what's happening as he's doing it. Today the first step of my implant has started and I needed this tooth pulled. It was a great experience! I don't doubt that he will check on me later. If you are looking for a new practice, I highly recommend!!! I have even seen Dr. Gellert and he's wonderful too. So glad we switched years ago. I did all my…read moreinitial paperwork on a computer and then only waited perhaps 5 minutes before my hygienist called me in. Her name was Colleen and she was very friendly and professional. I will request her from now on. The doctor who saw me was Dr. Mechtler. I found her to be matter of fact and efficient. I am very comfortable with her doing the dental work I will need done. The building and rooms appeared clean and in good repair and I felt confident in the infection control procedures. Overall a positive experience.
