My daughter had so many broken brackets within 24 hours of getting her braces on, that within the month she needed to get her braces completely removed and put on again. Since having her braces replaced she has continued to break brackets on food that is approved for braces, such as pretzels and sandwiches. Every time a bracket breaks we have had to wait one week or more to get an appointment. I paid thousands of dollars for subpar braces and care. My other children will be going elsewhere for their braces.

Dr. Walla engages well with the children, and clearly explains the "nuts & bolts" of it all. They do take insurance and offer a payment plan for thos who cannot afford a lump sum payment for treatment. And families get a case manager to contact for any questions or concerns as treatment occurs. Orthodontics has come a *long way* since I had them!

They were FAST. appointment was early 9am so that could be part of it. Almost no waiting to be called back. The hygienist was great with kids. The dentist was nice. They were quick and talked to him the way toddlers need to be talked to. Kind and sweet. He got to pick a toothbrush (BLUEY) and stickers. This place was recommended by our regular pediatrician and I have no complaints.

Update: made an emergency appt for an extraction, called to say I'd be late, didn't mention…read moreanything about it, was 10 mins later than how late I said I'd be (which was 5 min), and was told Dr left. They didn't call or wait. Just cancelled me when I arrived then didn't schedule me till almost a month later. Ha! For an emergency you think they'd call... Or wait... Or reschedule sooner! And guess what, clerical staff were totally unapologetic about it... Almost rude. Walked out without making a follow up was so upset and will probably schedule somewhere else. Very disappointed in these actions they took. So apparently their getting home 10 mins earlier was more important than removing an infected and dangerous tooth from a pregnant womans mouth. Dr. Bob's is the best! I see Dr. Gretchen and she is wonderful. She is always helpful, honest, and clearly knowledgable and skilled. The hygienists are all very friendly and great at what they do as well. After visiting lots of dental offices, I really trust the staff here. When Dr Kent let, I was very upset. Every time I get use to someone, they leaves. Saturday night my cap fell off and I contacted the smile center hoping they could just put it back in. When I got there, there was a new Dr there. She came in looked at my mouth and said" oh no that cant be fixed". Now I am already on edge being at the dentist and the Dr respond through me off. I instantly was not feeling her spirits. I was quoted a high bill to have the tooth fixed and a replacement tooth. I wasn't expecting not having the tooth put back in which was a root canal tooth and I surely wasn't expecting another Dr which could've been more caring. I am use to the workers being caring and she wasn't. I was offered a payment plan which was over $1000, and the uncaring Dr....No thank you....Now I have to find someone else to take my insurance and cater to those who are afraid of the dentist. I so appreciate the smile center for putting up with me over the years, but they don't take my insurance and they need another Dr onboard.

Was never told that he would have to be seen as a new patient and there would be an astonishing $300 for his first visit. He doesn't have dental insurance. However that seems terrible high. My dad has difficulty walking and walks with a walker. So after they tell us this. I'm not having my father pay that since he was already a patient for atleast 20 years. They said he didn't have any records. I believe NYSDOH makes sure you keep records for 8 years. X-rays for sure. Of course my father wanted to pay since it was quit an ordeal just to get him there!
