Weis is one of our favorite wineries in the FLX area. Their dry Riesling and dry reds are the standouts. We were here on a packed Saturday afternoon. Ordering was efficient and easy and the food and wine came out quickly. I was initially skeptical about flight pours coming in small bottles, mainly because I can be a wine snob, but also because good wine deserves to be enjoyed in the proper way! The wine was excellent and it tasted just as good out of a small bottle as it did when poured from the actual bottle. My wife and I were here a few years ago after they opened and it's nice to see them expand without sacrificing quality. We took some bottles home and we will definitely return!

Spending the week in the Finger Lakes area and stumbled upon Weis Vineyards! We loved it so much, we decided to come back again today! The space is gorgeous, plenty of seating inside and outside. They are dog friendly both inside and outside. Workers are super friendly and helpful. Flights are $15 for 4, which is fairly priced. Our favorite was the blush!

This was our second visit , first in 2022, and now the beautiful winery space appears finished! We visited at 1:30 on a beautiful Friday afternoon and grabbed a glass of wine and two Adirondack chairs. The lake view is almost unobstructed and the outdoor seating is very peaceful. We did not order a tasting but there are two tasting rooms that also offer lake views. The winery is modern with rich wood furniture and finish, a minimalist design and various glass floors with lower level views. We saw several tasty snacks available from chips and Hedonist chocolates and a cooler with cheese and curds. Other groups brought their own bento boxes and charcuterie boards to enjoy. I loved my sparkling Perle Rose and bought a few bottles to go. We were very impressed with this winery and I imagine this will be our regular Keuka wine trail trip.

I felt it was time to update my review as a club member who lives nearly 5.5 hours southeast of Weis Vineyards. Every time we're in the area, we make it a point to stop by, sample what's new, and stock up on our favorites. Plus, whenever we can pick up our club order in person rather than having it shipped, it's a must! It was great to see the new expansion at the winery. I love how we first visited Weis in 2017, and eight years later, they continue to grow and evolve. This place never disappoints. It was also exciting to see that they were once again named 2024 Governor's Cup winners and 2024 Winery of the Year--clear proof that they are doing something right. Today, I sampled the 2023 Gewürztraminer, which had aromas of ripe lychee, apricot, lime, and spice--always a favorite of ours. Given the region, this and Riesling are truly among the best. Next, I tried the 2022 Zweigelt, Austria's most widely planted red grape. This one was special to me since my ancestry traces back to Austria. It reminded me of a Pinot Noir--bright, tart, and fruit-forward. I then moved on to the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, which had rich aromatics of blackberry, black cherry, peppercorn, and a hint of earthiness. A perfect pairing for meats and cheese. From there, I explored the wine club exclusives, starting with the Blaufränkisch, always a favorite of mine. Growing in a colder climate gives it a unique character--elegant and structured, but not as bold as a warm-climate red from California. Lastly, I tried the 2022 Saperavi, which I had never sampled before. The server explained that this grape originates from Georgia (the country, not the state!). With an alcohol content ranging from 10.5% to 12.5%, Saperavi produces deep red wines that are well-suited for aging. Though predominantly grown in Georgia and Russia, it has made its way into Europe and, more importantly, to New World wine regions like the Finger Lakes and Niagara. This wine stood out with its earthy and spicy notes, hints of tobacco, leather, and black pepper, and subtle touches of vanilla and cocoa from barrel aging. As always, it was a fantastic visit. This time, we left with some much-needed Weis Vineyards hoodies to represent back home in Pittsburgh, PA. Cheers! Looking forward to our next visit in 2025. This makes 1,500 review on Yelp, and couldn't imagine anywhere else to do it at.

Beautiful tasting room and modern facilities. $12 for 5 tastings and with the 2 of us, we tried almost everything on the menu. My favorites were the Gruner Veltliner, Gewurztraminer, Perle and the Schulhaus White. The Hubby loved the Winzer Select Riesling. Beautiful surroundings, great wine and you get to keep your wine glasses.

What a beautiful winery! The place is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. We loved the wine tasting. The woman presenting us with the wine was so kind and had a lot to share. The views of the lake were gorgeous! Loved their rieseling. Everything was delicious! A great afternoon. Family friendly!

On a drive around Keuka Lake we stopped at this vineyard, but due to ongoing construction and its popularity we had to park in an unpaved area far removed from the winery proper. On entering the winery it seemed a bit hectic so we decided to forego the opportunity for a tasting and just purchase a chilled bottle of its 2022 Gewurztraminer. Later that night we enjoyed the wine and thought it was the best Gewurztraminer we tasted on our vacation to the Finger Lakes.

We stopped for a wine tasting on a Fall Saturday afternoon. The property is under construction be careful to go around, we made the mistake of following the side walk but that only leads up to a new facility that has yet to open and a size able drop off. Once inside we were greeted and were informed a 15-20 minute wait time but that we could walk around in the meantime. We went to the downstairs waiting area and sat at a table although there was ample room for tastings. I thought this was a bit strange but enjoyed the beautiful view while waiting. We were eventually seated at a packed bar upstairs for the tasting. Service was very friendly, and informative of wines and the business. No cheese, fruit, charcuterie's, or food appeared to be available, which was surprising considering it is a larger establishment. My friend has a wine membership and purchased a case. She has a back injury and was not offered any assistance carrying the case to the vehicle. Having pairings available with tastings, and offering assistance would have improved our experience, but non the less we enjoyed this Winery and look forward to seeing what the expansion will add.

This was the favorite stop for our group of 6. The wines were excellent. The sommelier, Alyssa, was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the white wines and purchased several. The picnic area was very cute and our next trip will be to use that area and drink a few bottles. Their gift shop was cute as well. This was our first visit to Weis and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'd enjoyed a lovely bottle of their wine at dinner the night before so our visit was perfectly timed! Bright tasting room with a simple bar seating area and nice view of the lake. Enjoyed learning about the history of the winery and how Peter Weis found similarities to his home in Germany and decided to stay and start his own vineyard. Particularly enjoyed the Zweigelt Dry Rose and the unoaked Chardonnay. Really nice experience and will return next year.

The first time I came into contact with Weis Vineyards was at the Buffalo Home Show. I was excited to go to their vineyards on Keuka Lake and try out the tasting room. I really liked the vibes of the tasting room and the view out the window is breathtaking. The tasting is pretty pricey and the pours are pretty tiny compared to other wineries charging the same price for tastings. I purchased 4 bottles of wine to avoid the $12 tasting fee, because that makes sense. I really enjoyed the wines I picked out.

Great wine and wonderful tasting experience. It's not the largest of wineries in the area, but it's one of the best.

We are from Southern York County and drive to Weis at least every 3 months for wine. Weis has some of the finest wine I've ever enjoyed.

The view of Keuka lake from the barn was a lovely treat and we were told to keep the winery glasses as well.

Lovely winemakers with a passion for wine, Lime Berry will delight sweet wine lovers but will leave…read moredry drinkers underwhelmed. Right off the bat - this place is closing at the end of the year, as the very engaging and wonderful owners sold their winery/vineyard. So if you want their wines you better get them before the end of the year. The winery is hosted in a small barn on the property with plenty of outdoor seating. They make about sixteen wines and seem to favor making sweeter wines. The wine tasting was a very reasonable $3 a person and is guided as either a dry tasting or a sweet tasting. I'm not a fan of sweet so I tried the dry listing, and overall found them fairly average. To be fair, they were out of two dry wines, the Chardonnay and Dry Riesling, so maybe those were the better wines to taste. The Dry Vidal Blanc lacked any complexity in taste and the Semi Dry Vidal Blanc is more sweet than dry. I purchased the Heart of the Lake because of the interesting story behind the one grape which is brand new and unnamed after being developed at nearby Cornell University (this is the only winery that makes wine out of it). The dry reds weren't too much better - boring wines without any sort of boldness, they both tasted flat with just a hint of possibly developing complexity. So yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the wines here at Lime Berry, and I'm a little confused with all the overwhelmingly positive Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews. It makes me wonder if I missed out on some of the good dry wines or that this winery's strength lies in their sweeter wines. Whatever the case, go for the sweet wines but skip if you want dry.
