I did the Reisling tasting and my husband did the red wine tasting. I ended up falling in LOVE with their Petite Sirah Syrah and would get that bottle a thousand times over. Although most of their reds were fantastic. My favorite part of the winery (outside the delicious wine) is the VIEW! The lake looks spectacular from the patio and I'd highly recommend grabbing a glass after your tasting to soak it in!

The gentleman helping us was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The scenery both inside and out felt like a little slice of Italy overlooking the Lake. The wines, atmosphere, and service all exceeded our expectations. We're back home in PA from our ventures .. but still thinking back to our visit. The pairings themselves were great. I actually loved the Gewürztraminer/ Pistachio macaroon pairing the most which is surprising because those would be the things I'd least be inclined to like individually. I just love how pairings can really bring out the complementary notes! Service was OK and honestly the reason the rating is so low. I recently got my WSET level 2 in wine and was excited to talk to the wine educator as we did the pairings but it felt like a rushed intro and then he focused on only one couple in the room (there were 3 couples total- so two of us were kind of ignored). At one point we asked a team member passing by (his name was Andrew, I think) if we needed to do anything else prior to leaving since we were done with the pairing. He actually put down what he was carrying and asked if we'd like to try anything else before we headed out. His hospitality really stood out to us given our experience up until that point. We do really appreciate him giving us a chance to try a couple of red wines, which are generally our preference and not really featured in our tasting.

We had a great tasting with a team member who was studying to get her WSET level 2 in wine, which we bonded over since I recently got mine. She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information on the wines and their backgrounds. We also learned a lot about the owners of the vineyard and the history of the property. It was an incredible experience! Especially considering we snagged one of the last tastings of the day as a walk-in! The wines were phenomenal. I was being bold so i tried wines across whites and reds. The white wines were actually so crisp! We enjoyed Weis so much that we bought a bottle then came back the next day to get another glass of wine (+ some food) and merch! I wear my Weis sweatshirt all the time- it's so cozy!! Whether you're inside or outdoors, the vibes are there and it's also dog friendly! I wish we lived closer to be able to go there with our dog!! We had a great tasting with a lovely older woman with glasses - I'm kicking myself for not writing this sooner when my name memory was fresh. She was so knowledgeable and really indulged me on my questions on each of the wines, as well as, the history of the winery and area. I also appreciated how she prepared each pour by swirling a bit of the wine in the glass prior to prevent picking up notes from the previous wine. She also made our visit special by showing us a short movie about the history of Keuka Spring Vineyards which was SO cool! Both my husband and I enjoyed almost all of the reds we tried, although I also was pleasantly surprised by the Chardonnay and Riesling I tried! But the Cabernet Franc + the Blaufränkisch were our favorites!!! We enjoyed a glass of the latter after our tasting with a beautiful view of Keuka lake. There was also a food truck on site that offered small tasty bites to enjoy while relaxing in the patio/ lawn area. We will definitely return on our next trip!

We visited with Friends to do a tasting but mostly to soak up the atmosphere and it was wonderful. The wines in my humble opinion were great to. But it was very interesting to learn about the locations of the plots and taste the difference in the grapes as well as learn that the winery still keeps up with it's Ukrainian Heritage notwithstanding the generalized Soviet attitude toward more intelligent and energetic members of its society. The person who was doing our tasting was very knowledgeable so we learned a lot. Tasted quite a bit bought some but enjoyed our experience immensely.

Rkatsiteli & Saperavi were surprisingly my favorite wines I tried (mainly because I'm a red wine drinker normally). I'd love to go back and do another tasting to try more of the varietals offered. But this was an amazing way to learn about the history of such an impactful winemaker.

Instead, our server was visibly worried and irritated by the prospect of the trolley guests. It was just a lackluster experience from a service perspective. At least on the winery side. I also wish I knew we should grab food first then bring to the winery side, but we ended up spending some extra time on property due to not realizing the deli/ winery set up.
