Time for healing process!!!!
Angel S.

I went in today in the morning due to an ingrown, from customer service to the end was wonderful they really take care of you, dr w I can say through the history I have with drs he is an excellent dr I was literally out fast I honestly had to relax n take a breather because my anxiety with shots but the technique he uses didn't hurt extremely but knowing me I did scream n pinch assistance arm, yes I probably over exaggerated cause I had worse injections but it honestly felt like quick pinch n little burn after it was removal time n it went by quickly dr distracted me by talking n it helped a lot but I honestly would recommend this office!!!! If I could I would give Dr w 100 out of 10 Office assistant 100 out of 10

Thank goodness for modern medicine!! Pain free ingrown nail removal!! Highly recommend! Thanks Doc! & staff!

Darian H.

Of course I was a nervous wreck going in being that I never had an ingrown toenail and I'm terrified of needles. Yes there's a slight discomfort from the numbing shots but he was very kind abs patient with me. He was quick and I didn't even notice he was done once the numbing kicked in. I was in and out within 15 minutes. He talked to me the whole time and made me feel more at ease. Thank you for taking care of me!

I brought it up to my OB's attention and he said that it was something cosmetology related. I know my body, so I decided to get a second opinion. My primary referred to Dr. Fatehchehr for my second opinion. Dr, Fatehchehr took over my case and gave me hope. He made me feel heard and finally I didn't feel like I was crazy. My surgery went smoothly and he removed a golf sized ball of endometriosis from my c-section scar area. Here I am 4 months later and I feel amazing! No more constant pain and burning sensation in my abdomen area!! I can finally wear jeans and tight clothing! 3-4 months prior to my surgery my endometriosis was so bad that I could only tolerate lose clothing like sweats or leggings. After struggling with endometriosis since I…read morewas 14, dealing with severe pain for years, and seeing multiple doctors who only offered hormone treatments that never truly helped, I had lost hope. Even after undergoing surgery in the past, my condition didn't improve, and after my last baby, my flare-ups became unbearable--happening every 2 to 3 days. Nothing was working anymore. Then, by the grace of God, I found Dr. Fatehchehr at exactly the right time. From my very first appointment, he actually listened to me--something so many other doctors had failed to do. He was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate, making me feel truly understood for the first time in years. I only wish I had met him sooner. In January, Dr. Fatehchehr performed an endometriosis excision surgery on me, and I am not kidding when I say I feel like a new person. I used to wake up every day in fear of the pain returning, but now, nearly three months post-surgery, I still can't believe that my pain is gone. I never thought this day would come. I'm sharing my story in hopes of helping other women who are suffering in silence. Painful periods are not normal, and they should be taken seriously. If you are struggling with endometriosis, please don't settle for doctors who dismiss your pain--see someone like Dr. Fatehchehr. He changed my life, and I am forever grateful.

I had a case of severe stretch marks and my rectus abdominis was stretched beyond non-surgical options. I am very physically active my routine included crossfit, aerial yoga, hoops and dancing. My abdomen skin was floppy and I had a pouch no matter how much I exercised It was embarrassing to lift my arms fearing my abdomen would show. I was referred to Dr. Hicks by one of my Crossfit buddies. She told me he was great and he had a payment plan I was so excited. I made an appointment immediately for a consultation. I scheduled my procedure for December 14, 2019. I met with him a week before my surgery and I was able to ask him questions and discuss any concerns that I may have. He was honest and realistic in what outcome could be expected for my condition. I really appreciated his honesty. However, the results were better than I could every imagine. I received a Christmas card from the office wishing me Merry Christmas and a speedy recovery. If that wasn't enough, Dr. Hicks called me 3 days post op to check on me and one of his staff members called me 4 days post op to check one me. I went in weekly for about 3 weeks to be checked. He cleared me to receive Lymphatic drainage massages by Malena. I highly recommend these massages. The massages helped me to stand up straighter, decreased swelling, decreased soreness and just felt good. I had stretch marks above my navel so those remain, but they're not very visible and I can rock a two piece with no shame to my game. My body is summer ready. My scar is barley visible and I am looking fierce. I highly recommend Dr. Hicks. He's in Long Beach and I didn't have to go deep in the heart of Beverly Hills to get snatched. This review is long overdue. Due to a traumatic experience it has taken me almost 4 years to write…read more In September 2020 Dr. Hurvitz repaired our son's face at just a few hours old. Dr. Hurvitz is a wonderful surgeon and human being. My newborn baby was cut from eye to ear during a crash c-section. 3 plastics surgeons turned down the repair because they felt they weren't skilled enough due to how deep the cut was and the proximity to nerves, his eye, his ear, muscles, the age of the newborn and other various factors. They weren't sure if my son would be able to feed, or use his eye. One surgeon called Dr. Hurvitz in to the hospital for a consultation. Thank God Dr. Hurvitz agreed to come in and do the surgery. He was off, and at home with his family. His team kept my baby alive when he had to be intubated and struggled to breathe (he was hours old and had been exposed to many drugs during the crash c-section because they couldn't get me numb). Finally, at almost midnight I got to meet my son after 8 hours. He was perfect. His incision/ scar was minimal. It's hardly noticeable now, almost 4 years later. Sometimes when his face turns red I can see a faint white line. It was so big, so complicated and so deep, and now it's a tiny paper thin line. The stitching was beautifully done. Most importantly He was able to nurse, and use his eye, he had no issues opening or closing it. Dr. Hurvitz repaired the muscle, nerves and incision perfectly. His office staff are also wonderful people. They patiently worked with me on insurance and payment. They answered every email, and call. They are a Wonderful group of ladies. Dr. Hurvitz bedside manner when I met him and his assistant put me at ease. I don't remember what he said, but how he made me feel. He cared. He was funny. And he's absolutely the best surgeon. Thank you Dr. Hurvitz. You were one of the few good things that happened to us during that horrible experience. We thank God for you every time we look at our son's face. He's gorgeous and healthy. The scar is minimal and most people don't even notice it. I would absolutely trust and recommend Dr. Hurvitz.

This is about the discharge process. Hopefully, this information will help patients navigate this…read moreprocess to their benefit and not the hospital. 1. Nurses serve as the gatekeepers. It's a system that prevents you from speaking directly with a physician. Nurses will say they have contacted the doctor multiple times without a response. This is a smoke screen to allow the doc to figure out how to avoid your questions. From my experience, the nurses were communicating nonstop with the provider even though I was told something different. If the physician does come to see you, it is rushed and vague unless you ask specific questions. Be prepared and have the questions ready. Write them down so you don't miss anything. By this point, you will be stressed and you want to get as much information about your care as possible. 2. There is no such thing as case management, charge nurse, patient relations, administrator, etc. to help you navigate the hospital system. You will learn they have no control or influence over the attending. When you have a problem, they are missing. However, case management is there on the spot if you agree to discharge. 3. Documentation is limited and leaves the impression you're stabilizing even if you have new symptoms. The one nurse I thought was going to help me saw the symptoms herself and told me she would document them in the system so I could get more help. I told multiple nurses and a consulting ID doctor about the symptoms. When I read the notes after discharge, the new sym were not documented anywhere. It's another example of how the hospital focuses on discharge instead of ensuring you have had enough treatment so you don't have to return. 4. The attending had inaccurate information in my medical history. The only way to fix it is filing an amendment through medical records. 5. Everyone on the floor has access to your imaging and cultures while you do not. You will get vague statements like, "Everything looks fine" but you have no way of knowing the details so you can know what is happening with your care. 6. You're not allowed access to your own records until you sign off at discharge so you don't know what they are documenting. If anything needs to be reviewed, discussed, or changed that opportunity is taken away from you. The attending promised me that information prior to discharge but it never came to be. 7. If you're on Medicare, that gives you some form of patient advocacy. You file an appeal. This will force the hospital to do what they should have done initially because they don't want to get penalized. They can't do the right thing at the beginning. You're forced to go through this process to get them to care about your health and safety after you leave the hospital. 8. At discharge, the nurses are trained to be like used car salesman. Sneaky. They will present the discharge authorization form to you for signature so you can't read the complete discharge paperwork to dispute any inaccuracies. Once you sign that form, then you're provided with the discharge paperwork. So, don't sign anything without seeing the paperwork beforehand. Once you sign that form and leave the hospital, forget about getting additional help or clarification. They will send you to medical records where nothing will happen because you need guidance immediately. There are many nurses there who are good nurses but this is the system they work in so they navigate that as best as they can. Overal, this is a systemic problem where the hospital has a lack of transparency and accountability. So, it's up to the patient to advocate for themselves.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a…read moreseries of severe safety, security, and communication failures that occurred during my stay in Room 103 on the night of July 13th. This experience has completely shattered my sense of security, leaving me feeling entirely vulnerable and unable to sleep. Below is a detailed account of the incident and the systemic failures that followed: Incident Details & Failures Failure #1: Unauthorized Room Entry and False Representation At approximately 11:00 PM on July 13th, an unknown male wearing a yellow smock over scrubs and a face mask entered my room. When I asked who he was, he insisted he was my night nurse. I knew this was incorrect as both of my assigned nurses were female. Despite me telling him to leave, he insisted a second time that he was my nurse. Only after he looked at the whiteboard and saw my actual nurses' names did he say, "Oh, I made a mistake, I'm sorry." He then approached my bed to apologize again. When I asked for his name, he identified himself as A**ad before finally leaving. The shift change was at 7pm. How did he think I was his patient at 11pm? Make it make sense. Failure #2: Complete Lack of Response to Emergency Call Button While this unauthorized man was still in my room, I hit my call button, alerted the operator that a strange man was in my room, and begged her to send help. She promised to send someone, but no one ever came. After the man left, I called a second time. Again, the operator promised to send someone. Again, no one came. Failure #3: Delayed Escalation and Negligence I was forced to hit the call button a third time. The operator informed me that my night nurse, Gina, was back from her break but was on the phone. Out of sheer desperation and fear, I had to threaten to rip the IV out of my hand and walk down to the nurses' station myself just to get someone to take my safety seriously. I also called Security twice to file a report and no one came out to talk to me as of 1:37am. Context of Vulnerability I want to emphasize how incredibly vulnerable I was during this intrusion. I have an IV attached to my left hand and was actively prepping for a colonoscopy the next morning. I had just gotten off the toilet when this man entered. Because of my medical equipment and prep, I was physically unable to run or defend myself. Post-Incident Actions taken Once G**a was alerted, she immediately came to my room, listened to my account, and brought in her nurse manager. Because the Patient Business Office was closed, I left them a voicemail. I also personally contacted Hospital Security to file a formal report. Recognition of Exemplary Staff Despite the systemic failure of the hospital's security and communication systems, I want to formally recognize my care team. Gina has been incredibly helpful, efficient, empathetic, and deeply remorseful about what happened to me. A***a has also been exceptionally sweet, professional, and attentive to all of my needs. They are the only reason I feel any modicum of care here. Request for Action This was a terrifying security breach. A random staff member or intruder was allowed to falsely represent himself, approach my bed, and ignore my demands to leave, while the emergency call system completely failed to protect me. I expect a formal investigation into: Why "Ah**d" was in my room and why he insisted he was my nurse. Why the call button operator failed to dispatch immediate security or staff assistance during an active security threat. What steps are being taken to ensure my safety for the remainder of my stay. I look forward to your prompt response.

During the months prior to my surgery, I met with a fantastic dietitian, Keri-Ann Canton, who was instrumental in helping me change my relationship with food and prepare for the dietary changes that would be required pre and post surgery. It may seem daunting at first, but once it all clicks, you'll be glad you made the decision to improve your overall health. I'm 4 years post op and still refer to things she taught me during those initial 6 months or so and she continues to be a valuable resource whenever I have questions regarding nutritional wants/needs and/or supplement advice.
