It was 2015 approximately...because of Dr Graves inexperienced procedures, I lost my 2nd toe on right foot. He performed an operation on my r foot, a bunion fix n straightened my hammered toes...lots of expected pain. But I'm a diabetic. He didn't perform the proper test to ensure blood flow. I went to see Dr. Graves last week after not being able to run for over 3 months. I have not been a happy camper. Life without insurance can suck. He listened to me babble on and on about my Internet self-diagnosis and didn't seem the least bit annoyed by me. He was also very helpful and not pushy at all. I explained why I was so anti-orthotics and he said he understood but also mentioned they stand behind their orthotics and would do adjustments, etc., to make them for work me if I ended up needing them. I went to Dr. Graves office about 2 months ago. I am so glad I did. First off the reception is friendly which sets the tone. The nurses are talkative, funny and personable. Dr. Graves was informative, personable and easy going. It was a comfortable setting. I got a cortizone injection in my foot which hurt like woah.. But they were very friendly and respectful since I was really nervous about getting the shot in my foot. I felt like i walked away with more knowledge on my foot and the problems. One of the best clinic centers that I've been to. The hospitality and the way the staff and Dr. Richard Graves treat the patients is just so good. I took an appointment to get rid of a callus on my left foot. Dr. Richard Graves had done a really good job. I was suffering with the callus from past four months. I tried many medications to get rid of the callus such as pumice stone, callus remover with medicated discs, and salicylic acid. But it didn't work out. And i didn't have a health insurance and I checked online for a podiatrist and came across with this clinic. With just two visits the callus has been scrapped off completely. I've been dealing with a super painful ingrown toenail for the last couple of weeks. Normally my pedicurist digs it out for me (yes it's a reoccurring issue) but since nail salons are currently closed (thanks Covid-19) I decided to do what any responsible adult would do and call a doctor. I checked yelp! And found Dr. Graves. What a lucky day for me and my big toe! I called on Saturday around 9 am and had an appt that same day at 10 am From the receptionist, to the nurse, to Dr. Graves, each one was friendly, professional and compassionate. Dr. Graves took the time to explain my options (he could remove the offending sucker or he could do a little more extensive work and permanently fix it). Went to Dr. Graves because of pain in my foot. Had foot surgery 2 years ago for same issue, I thought it was a recurring issue (that podiatrist removed something from my foot surgically). 2 months ago when the pain came back, I went to another local podiatrist and he shot cortisone into my foot. That didn't resolve the situation. Dr. Graves office was able to take me the same day I called and he discovered that there was something in my foot. He didn't give me a anesthetic of any kind. He gently worked on my foot and wound up removing a fairly large piece of glass. He feels that the first foot surgery was removing the traumatized tissue from me stepping on that huge piece of glass. I have NO idea how I walked around with a piece of glass in my foot for 2 years. When it originally happened, I thought I stepped on something while doing jiu jitsu. Back to Dr. Graves, he was so gentle and worked with such finesse that I didn't need a shot to numb my foot. I went to Dr. Graves after my primary care Dr. diagnosed me with bone spur. He took x-rays to confirm his diagnosis. I didn't see any bone spur on the x-ray, but he is the Dr. ...... So he sentenced me to a life of pain and sent me on my way with a foot cup to pad my shoe. After doing some research, the location of my pain was not consistent with a bone spur. I was buying running shoes at a local store, and the owner recommended I see Dr. Graves. He had many customers with foot problems that had seen Dr. Graves and were very pleased. I took a copy of my x-ray to Dr. Graves, and he quickly ruled out he bone spur. He then spent a lot on time talking with me not only about my foot, but other aspects of my life such as general activity, past pain, etc. He then looked at both feet, and did some simple tests. He then diagnosed the problem as Bursitis and then told me how we could improve and even cure the condition. He then told me other areas of my feet to watch do to other problems that were building up. Dr. Graves and his staff are amazing. I have really, really bad knees and have had a hip replacement, both of which are making me knock kneed and are causing me lower back pain. My orthopedic doctor recommended I get orthotics. I went on Yelp and found Dr. Graves. Not only did he listen, but he went through the process of mapping my feet multiple times until he was absolutely sure that the image was one that would give me the best orthotics possible. I went to see Dr. Graves about a year ago. His office happens to be a few blocks from my house, so it was very convenient. I was more worried about their pricing since I had no insurance. I called the office and their $70 visit charge was very reasonable. Once the issue was determined, he was able to give me an estimate as to how many visits I would need to make. It turned out I needed less visits than expected and even gave me a discount on one visit since he used less product on me. All I really needed was a business card with a phone number so I could call and make an appointment. When I walked into the office one person was at the desk ahead of me. He took in excess of 5 minutes. And during that time, more people barged in front of me (coming out of examining rooms--- no idea how 5 or 6 people could have all been finishing their visits at the same time. In any case they all needed to make follow up appointments. Since they were established patients, they were given priority over me). I am a 70 year old man. I cannot stand long periods of time without my lower back starting to hurt. That's why I was there. The receptionist should have called me to the window ahead of them when the first guy finished, but she didn't (How long can it take to give someone a business card with a phone number?). She definitely saw me. I think she was trying to indicate I needed to wait my turn as I walked out. Yeah, right, lady. Throw good time after bad. Right. The doctor's medical practice may be wonderful for all I know. But the way old people are treated here is definitely not. Nor have I anything positive to say about his other patients who barged in front of me--- all young enough to be grand kids. To close on a happy note, none of them were related to me. I am a local chiropractor, with a relative recent history of foot problems - mainly migrating gout which plays a role in my family history.
