I can't recommend highly enough about the medical services I am receiving here. I left my last podiatrist when he started sharing his political views. I have diabetes and the staff measured both blood pressure and my heart beat in my feet. They took photos of my toenails because I have fungus there. Dr. Graves provided a full treatment for my feet, removing calluses and trimming my nails. He prescribed medication for my fungus and gave me results and checked on my condition one month later. Sol Foot and Ankle Care is located at 304 Cherry Ave, Long Beach CA. I can't believe what a dum-dum I have been. I have walked right by this place on a daily basis while experiencing heel pain. I called, and provided insurance information. They were able to see me the same day, which was a big plus (heel pain was now intolerable). Dr. Shirai was the best, she listened to my issues and offered solutions. I walked out with new shoes, that provided support and after getting a cortisone shot in the heel area-no pain! This place is great ! Dr Graves saw our 9-yr old boy who really hates getting a shot..!! He totally freaked out and refused to stop squirming. So Dr. Graves gave him antibiotics and another appointment to come back in one week. That worked great antibiotics did the trick and when we returned in one week the procedure was unnecessary. I had been looking for places to get an ingrown nail removed that been infected, and wasn't having too much luck since a lot of places weren't open on Saturdays. This place is open is Saturdays which was perfect for me since I work a 9-6 Monday- Friday. I called today around 10am to set up an appointment for next Saturday since I figured they wouldn't have anything available for a same day (which was totally fine with me). I spoke with Liz the receptionist , she was super nice & even told me that if the pain was too much to call them and they'll see what they can do for me to see me sooner. I really appreciated that! After I set up my appointment for the following Saturday, I got a call back from the office not even 5 minutes later telling they actually had some openings available for today! The front office, back office, and the Dr are all soooooo nice and sweet! I instantly felt so comfortable around everyone and wasn't as nervous anymore when I realized how everyone here genuinely wanted to make me feel comfortable. The numbing part was not bad at all! The Dr knows how to inject gently so that it doesn't hurt you. He took the infected ingrown nail so quickly, and you literally don't feel a thing! Like I couldn't believe how easy that was! seriously, THANK YOU!!! I'm so happy to finally get this taken care of. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs to get an ingrown nail removed. I came here over a year ago for an issue with my foot. When I came in I was looked at for five minutes and was told all I owed for the appointment was $60. No more payments were necessary, although a week later I got a bill in the mail for $180 with no description as to what it is for. I did not pay this bill because I was told all I was to pay for this small problem was $60. Since then I have had debt collection agents harassing me multiple times a day. I told them I refuse to pay because I do not know what this charge is for, and they do not have answers for me. I think this place is a scam personally. I am very unhappy that I am being harassed over a $80 fee (they lowered it down to $80). I am a broke college student and even budgeting that much can be hard. Especially for something I have no explanation as to why I have to pay. I would not recommend going here, but if you do just know that you might be charged a completely random fee for something that wasn't communicated. Then you will be called about five times a day by different numbers over $80. Drop this fee please it makes no sense as to why I have to pay that if I was not told what it is for. Communication with clients is key, and this business lacks it. read more

Definitely don't recommend. I was unable to find parking - drove around for more than 15 minutes before my appointment. I called them to explain the problem and I was instructed to park in a no parking zone even though I was watching parking enforcement give tickets. I was then instructed to find a spot further away - I have a foot injury and as a podiatrist office they should know that advising clients with food issues to walk several blocks isn't feasible for many patients. Between the parking illegally and asking to walk several blocks, I was very disappointed in the bad advice they were giving to their clients. read more

I have always suffered from in grown toe nails and as an uninsured Angelino it can be extremely expensive to get taken care of when it comes to health. Great establishment !!!! Helped tremendously with my foot issues. I went in with bruising and nail fungus issues from my past in sports. They explained several different treatment plans that I could pursue, as well as the positives and negatives to each of those plans. I tried everything to self - treat my issues prior to going to them and they didn't work. Once I started my treatment plan I saw results in first 3 weeks. I came in as a cash patient because my insurance sucks. Dr. Shirai is a wonderful person. I sprained both ankles and broke my left foot in two places in March 2017. She and the staff are all so friendly, welcoming, and above all caring. The prices were reasonable and they don't take advantage because you're paying cash. No unnecessary services were added on nor were they suggested. I've broken my feet two times previously and I'm sure this last one won't be the last. I am currently recovering from a bunionectomy and have only praise for Dr. Graves and his staff. They know what they're doing while making me and my husband comfortable. He tells you what to expect in detail so there are no surprises. Their Lakewood Village office is extremely convenient with parking in the rear. Considering all the horror stories I heard about this surgery I can say not so. Our annual appointments to take care of my plantarfacitas and my husband's toe fungus have always been short and sweet. Not sure how this spot has so few reviews cuz it def doesn't reflect the quality of care here. I am an owner of a sports chiropractic, soft tissue and rehab clinic just down the street from Dr. Graves' office and have received nothing but positive reviews from my patients after receiving treatment here when my conservative care treatments aren't giving long term relief. They are great with plantar fasciosis, Achilles, tarsal tunnel, hammertoes, metatarsalgia, arthritis, trauma, arches and really ALL foot and ankle conditions, acute to chronic. I will keep referring as necessary and trust the providers here to make solid evidence-based clinical judgments, not over-treat and refer for surgery when absolutely the last resort.
