The Therapists and Assistants are very dedicated to healing and incorporate treatments from a variety of disciplines (Chiropractic, Ayurvedic, etc) in pursuit of healing and strengthening the body. Dr Kevin, my original therapist, noticed something unusual during our sessions and pointed it out to my Primary Care Physician. Had he not followed through with his suspicions, I might have gone several years before my symptoms escalated to the point that they would have been obvious. I owe him a huge debt of gratitude for saving me years of physical and emotional suffering. I recently sought treatment for Tennis Elbow from Dr Jimmy DiMascio. In just under two months, he relieved the pain in the tendon through a multi-disciplinary regimen of massage, cupping, shockwave therapy, and exercise to reduce the tension in the muscles and tendons. I cannot recommend this practice enough for the quality of the staff and facilities, their professionalism and dedication to their patients.

I was waiting to write this review but my recent experience over the phone just pushed it over the edge. The front desk staff makes me feel like I am bothering them. Even checking in- come on it's part of your job!! Looking at previous reviews it seems like it has been an ongoing issue. I was overcharged on my first 2 appointments and ended up with a large credit. I was notified the therapist I was working with was leaving and the only other therapist that has experience with my issue does not have availability for a few weeks. So I wanted my credit back as a check- it showed on my insurance application that the claim was processed so I called in. I spoke to Jaden and she said that it was not sent back to them yet so they would call me back when it did. I confirmed with them that they would call me back and she said she wouldn't just leave me hanging.. Then I said thank you, bye and she proceeded to just hang up without any bye or anything. I don't know why every front desk employee seems like they are miserable working there- not sure if it is management or just all of their bad attitudes every time. Won't be returning. Please retrain the front desk!! Makes me feel uncomfortable interacting with them.

I was running a lot for Marathon training and also playing soccer twice a week. The pain wouldn't go away and interfered with my active lifestyle. I had never received PT but thankfully i found Dr. Ngo to help me with my pain that wouldn't go away after weeks. He was able to help diagnose the root cause of my pain and gave a great explanation of the linkage between the mind and body. He went above and beyond to even analyze my running technique and helped me improve it. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the sports medicine field. I felt like he treated me like a friend for each of our sessions. He has many different tools in his office that can be tailored for many different sports and information about the body. I thought it was great because he created a plan to get me back to running and stressed the importance of stretching exercises. I really appreciate the holistic healing approach even more. He made sure to connect the L2-4 even though he didn't do L3&4 and made sure to recheck them too. He also made sure that I was good before allowing the hospital to discharge me. I was so glad he did because it made recuperating at home easier and experienced no problems. His staff were great to in coordinating everything for the surgery. After care is great too as he explains everything to me. Even giving me physical therapy to help me get my strength back. I did choose Southland Physical Therapy in Long Beach because my therapist, Sami had received great feedback for Dr Yuan from his other clients who had surgery with Dr Yuan. I highly recommend Dr Yuan for any back issues.

After numerous attempts to get information about my case, I asked to speak with an office manager and was told that someone would return my call. That call never came. I called back two additional times and left messages for the office manager, and I still received no response. Communication with Dr. Warden's nurse was similarly difficult. On at least four separate occasions, I was told I would receive a return call, but those calls never happened. The lack of communication has now reached the point where I am seeking another provider to perform the knee surgery I need. Nearly six weeks after initially contacting this office, I still do not have a clear surgery schedule or a satisfactory understanding of where things stand. Unfortunately, the customer service experience begins the moment you call the office. The initial person answering the phone consistently came across as disengaged and uninterested in helping. When someone is dealing with a significant knee injury and trying to coordinate necessary surgery, basic communication and follow-through are extremely important. I understand that medical offices can be busy and that scheduling surgery involves multiple steps. However, repeatedly promising return calls and then failing to make them is unacceptable. After nearly six weeks of trying to obtain answers, I have lost confidence in this office's ability to manage my care effectively and have decided to pursue treatment elsewhere. With science camp approaching the following week, I was genuinely worried about how I would manage all the walking. From the moment I contacted Dr. Aslmand's office, I was impressed by how quickly they were able to schedule my appointment. The visit itself was incredibly efficient and thorough. Within about 40 minutes, X-rays were completed, I received a cortisone injection, and Dr. Aslmand took the time to teach me how to properly tape my foot. He also recommended supportive shoes and provided a night splint to aid in my recovery. The most remarkable part? I walked out of the office completely pain-free and I've remained that way ever since. To call Dr. Aslmand a miracle worker would honestly be an understatement. The only issue I have that is ultimately stopping me from going is the lack of time management combined with a strict 15 minute grace period. Every time I've gone, I've had to wait 25-45 minutes just to be taken to a room, then continue to wait longer before seeing a doctor. It didn't bother me until today, when I was running 15-17 minutes late. I called, and they said if I get there by 4:30, we could keep the appointment, but otherwise, we would need to reschedule. That's such a slap in the face, given I had NEVER been so much as brought to a room within 15 minutes. If you're going to be that strict with a grace period, you should also be equally as strict with prompt service times. Very disappointed. If that doesn't bother you, then this office will be a great option for your podiatry needs.
