Dr, Weinberg is sarcastic, condescending and refuses to explain or discuss details. After doing a C-spine MRI for severe pain, he asked me to call for results. On that phone conversation, the doctor offered nothing -- not a single detail or technical word -- except that I had problems in my back. He advised therapy! The MRI showed, among many other findings, a severe foraminal narrowing at the C7-T1 disc where i had a previous surgery in 2007 at Cornell, but this doctor refused to even mention this significant fact on the MRI. He treated me as if I were a stupid person, and he would say nothing but the fact that I had some problems. That was the extent of his explanation even tho I tried to push him to offer details and precise explanations. He simply refused. He advised therapy, and I have since learned that therapy for foraminal narrowing pinching a nerve is most likely useless and can be harmful! This MD seemed unconcerned as he spoke to me on the phone. This MD also poked fun at me in his office .. for one instance, over how I take Neurontin. I was advised to take 800mg at one time, and this appeared to be very amusing to Dr. Weinberg. He sarcastically offered: "Well ... I never heard of that .. you're the only one I ever heard of who does that ... ha-ha!" He could have said:" Well ... that is not the way I would recommend taking it ... let me explain."
Then he insisted that my significant other of 30 years leave the room ... for being a "distraction" to me. My friend attends all my visits as a second pair of ears, but this doctor made him leave the room and then failed to remember to call him back in! This Md was useless. I have since seen other neurologists and gotten the answers, diagnosis, and prognosis that Dr. W simply jettisoned! He is an arrogant, unconcerned doctor! GO ELSEWHERE. read more
