Wow! how excited and honored I am to write this review! First and foremost I want to start by…read moresaying how much of a breeze and headache free the start of my solar journey was! It all began with the most amazing person I could have ever started speaking with about solar! his name was Andrew Wadahara he's the sales consultant, Andrew contacted me and was extremely polite, courteous, professional, and outright amazing in explaining everything to me all the way to the DocuSign process! Thanks Andrew I would highly recommend you and Sunrun any day of the week, month, year! Andrew! You are a rockstar! Thanks a lot! Furthermore, I was then contacted by Ben Gregoire who is the Project Cordinator of all these amazing Solar Titans that I will soon mention that came to my home to install the solar panels! 30 to be exact. Wow what an amazing humble person Ben is! Thanks for your amazingly hard work in getting this project started and completed! Thanks for also being a real leader by showing me how much you care for your employees by not having them install on a day when the smoke filled the sky something terrible from all of the fires and ash in the air and the AQI (Air Quality Index) at a whopping 271. Thanks for showing me as a client how much you care for your employees and putting safety first while on my property. Ben you are a real leader! I hope you and every single person that I met has a long, prosperous, successful career at and with Sunrun solar! With more needing to me mentioned so I do not leave anyone out on the amazing experience I had with Sunrun I would like to mention the upmost amazing, professional, kind, courteous, hardest working installers I have ever met! Some real to the bone Sunrun Solar Titans! And before I mention them by name I would like to thank each of them for being so neat, clean, and safe as they was on my property due to the COVID-19 pandemic going on. I want the higher ups at Sunrun to know that they wore masks, gloves, floor savers over there boots as they entered and exited my home and they kept a 6 foot plus safe distance from me and my family while installing the solar panels on my property! I can really see as a Sunrun client how important it is for the Sunrun team to take this COVID-19 pandemic so serious, I can't thank you enough of how happy I am of each of your safety measures you took while in contact with me and on my property! Last but sure not least! The best of the best in the solar business, some real Sunrun Solar Titans showed up at my home to do the install! Led by the lead Foreman on the job Jesus! Man that guy is a real rockstar! Because of him everyday I get out of bed to get ready and head off to work I do my stretches! What an awesome and caring Foreman for his crew, he had them stretch before starting the work! He was amazing in explaining the project from start to finish! I seriously could not ask for a better Foreman to have start and complete my solar install! Thanks Jesus! Thanks to the amazing installers as well! You installers are also big time rockstars in my book! Lead installer Xavier and installer Bradley your awesome, professional Solar Titans you guys did absolutely awesome! You went above and beyond and should get a huge bump in pay and promotions for how well you installed my solar equipment! You guys are amazing people, humble, kind, courteous of my property, and installation of my solar equipment! Thanks for your amazing and professional attitudes and hard work! Sunrun Solar Rocks! I would and will recommend Sunrun Solar to any and all of my friends and family and also anyone in need of solar! Don't hesitate call Sunrun now and ask for Andrew Wadahara! Trust me these guys at Sunrun are the best I. The buisness with the best solar equipment and prices! With great respect ~Richard Samkas~

My living situation has not changed since my initial install, but I keep being time by Sunrun that it's my daily and I'm using to much electricity.....bulls$&@t.....nothing has changed!!!!!! Sunrun needs to own this and either remove these panels or have my solar do what it was stated it would do! So far they have changed "the battery" 2 times and gave added 14 additional panels!!!!!!!

Their people know what they are doing. That said, whenever an installer drills extra holes in your roof, as they did mine, they should tell you because any unused holes are a potential source of leaks as the roof ages. They did not mention the extra holes so when I found out on my own I was annoyed. These holes need to be inspected periodically to guarantee a dry house. My panels are ugly from the street. Didn't realize panels could be so ugly. Most I see don't have exposed brackets. When you buy, make sure that any street facing panels are beautiful. Solar can be beautiful, but it's up to the owner to make smart choices, and it's up to the seller to advise the owner and if necessary steer you towards beautiful panels in a street facing array. Wish I had known. Finally, I marked down Sunrun because of the loan company they work with-loanpal. I cannot log in to loanpal, and have never been able to consistently log in to my loanpal account because their login page is defective. I've tried everything. Spent an hour on the phone waiting for tech support. They fixed it once but now 6 months later I can't log in again. Very frustrating. Do whatever you can to avoid loanpal. They're a skeegie operation.

New findings and new parts are "said" they are being ordered, but no results and we are still paying. If we have a black out (which we did) we are in the dark and Sunrun should pay for everything....it's been way too long. We will write the CEO of the company.

My wife and I decided to get solar when we got our PG&E bills after moving to Cameron Park. My…read moregood friend worked for them and she made the whole process easy! She and Mike Lewis (who I don't recommend) both came out and talked to us, my friend answered my very detailed questions (because I'm an engineer and I get very technical), guided us through the application process, and I'm sure they will be very helpful through the installation process. Mike Lewis, on the other hand, missed every single appointment with us after the first appointment, made very sexist and rude comments, and wouldn't stop talking about how great he is and that he's the best solar salesman and that's why you need solar. V3 took everything into their hands. They upgraded our panel, got the permits, installed a Nest thermostat for us, and took care of all the PG&E business, which is great for me because I HATE dealing with PG&E. V3 has a variety of programs, but we chose the one that best suited our situation. Here's a basic explanation of our program: We signed up to pay ~$0.18/kWh for the next 20 years, which is lower than PG&E's lowest tier rate. This rate is what we pay for ALL of the electricity that we generate using V3's solar system. That's it... it's that simple. We will still have an annual true-up with PG&E because you have to pay to be connected to the grid, but if our system performs as well as they say it will, we will only be paying the ~$10/month at that annual true up because our system will supposedly cover 101% of our current electrical usage. I will update my review once the panels are installed and everything is up and working, but so far I am very happy with everything! A bit of a late update, but here it is. So our panels were activated on December 23, 2017. Everything seemed to be working, but after a couple of months we still weren't able to get our production numbers from SunRun. It turns out that the installers didn't flick a switch that would have enabled the communication with SunRun's servers. SunRun's information portal is very limited. There are other companies out there that are WAY ahead of SunRun when it comes to the data side. If you want to see your most productive hours or more detailed information, don't go with V3/SunRun. Through the installation process we had a few issues. When they installed the nest, they screwed the wiring up and we had to call them out again because our heater wasn't working. The new panel that they installed was half the size of our old panel, with every breaker in use. I had to call three separate times to get them to come out and put in some smaller breakers so I had room to expand, which was part of the deal. They asked us if we ever wanted to add a spa or other lines into our house and I said yes. Much to my surprise when they finally installed the new panel there was no extra space in the panel. They also installed a new grounding rod as part of the panel upgrade. I'm not sure why, but their electricians do not know how listen. They first installed the grounding rod so that it BLOCKED OUR GATE. We were unable to access our back yard with it installed. I asked them to just pound it down another 6-8 inches and put a box on it (like your water valve, this is common practice in the construction industry), but instead they cut it off, ripped up my siding, and installed a new one next to my rain gutter... I had to wait an additional 2 months for them to come out and paint our conduits to match the house. To add to that, once we had our first rain storm I came home to my puppy playing in a 10' diameter puddle on our hardwood floors. It seems that V3 forgot to fill a few holes that they drilled on accident.... Since then, we haven't had any problems. The only long term issue I see is that they are a partner with SunRun, so SunRun sends you an email that says you need service, waits three days to tell V3, and then they call you. Honestly, I'd say not to go with them, but it seems like all of these solar outfits are pretty difficult to deal with.

This company's communication was terrible. I dealt with three different people who are supposedly…read moremy project managers and had to reach out to them for updates. Getting the various approval levels was painfully slow in fact the time I had to cancel took much longer than the time they needed to get things set up. That being said once I notified them of my wish to cancel they reminded me that I had 10 days to cancel or I would have to pay $2,500 and cancellation fees. If I didn't know any better I would think this is part of their business model. Either way I would highly not recommend doing business with this company based on their lack of response, and their lack of follow-up.

On top of that, they're just good down-to-earth people. We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

They listened to our priorities and were highly informative about multiple options for panels and batteries; offered the best pricing BY FAR among four companies that bid (about 15% lower than the next best!); and exceeded our expectations for speedy installation. They took care of everything that was needed with PGE, then set up the system operation per our preferences -- so we didn't have to do a thing. (Based on PGE savings, the system will pay for itself in just under 5 years.) A year later, when we had a few questions, Heath responded within minutes. It's now been over two years since our solar system was installed in Sept 2023. The installation itself went smoothly and the team worked hard to make sure everything was completed in time to meet the PG&E application deadline. Everyone I worked with was professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with. After the installation, I had a few questions and the team was quick to respond and genuinely helpful. I really appreciate knowing that their support didn't end once the system was paid for and that help is always there if needed. Since the installation, our electric bills have dropped significantly, and we haven't experienced a single issue. The system has been running efficiently and doing exactly as proposed. One of my biggest concerns at the beginning was having work done on our roof, but after two years and plenty of rainy days, I'm happy to say we've had zero problems. Overall, it's been a great experience, and I've already recommended Excite Energy to several friends.
