We drive 1 1/2 hours to shop here because the seafood and fruit are so fresh and delicious. The quality is extremely high. My husband has developed a love of sushi after trying it here. The variety of food is such a difference from what we can get at home. Can't recommend it enough.

Lots of juice to choose from!

Absolutely the most amazing dynamic grocery store I have ever been in! Fantastic displays and an abundance of fabulous looking products including produce and today's Valentines Day and it looks sensational!

1st time in Wegmans. I know right. This was another stressed last minute errand for graduation as family came hours earlier to the apartment as opposed to meeting at the ceremony place. So of course I had to feed them. I was in the middle of getting dressed and doing my hair but no time for being embarrassed I ran out looking all kinds of crazy. I've never had anything from here but I've heard good things. Everyone in EVERY single department from bakery to the prepared foods to the wine to customer service was super nice and went out of their way to help me. Not sure if they could sense or see how frazzled I was and felt bad for me or if this is just normal for them. Either way I'm thankful. I got 2 rotisserie chickens. They were cheap and delicious. Can never go wrong with that. Prepated meatballs. Flavorful and reasonably priced. A pound of prepacked macaroni salad ( not bad not great). They were all out of the potato salad. A fruit platter. Very fresh and averaged priced. This was a wonderful visit (hope no one snapped a pic of me lol) and I'm jelly of those that live close to these establishments. Makes Stop n Shop and those chains feel like childs play. However, I must say that it was night to day going from one end of the store to the other. A disconnect. Perhaps partially due to the lighting. The gourmet area/prepared foods just feels like you're in a completely different store. Ijs. With that said it would be awesome to live closer to one. Until we meet again!

So much yummy sweetness!

Dearest Wegmans, I know you hail from the land of Rochester, NY but the east coast folks who know and love you on the west coast could use your amazingness. For reals. I have been a shopper at Wegmans ever since I was a poor little freshman college student at Gannon University in Erie. I'm pretty sure it took an entire month's worth of work study pay to afford my bougie groceries but I didn't care. My bougie blood runs deep when it comes to groceries. Fast forward to present times... anytime I'm back home I've gotta get me some Wegmans. I don't care if I don't even eat/drink it. Imma buy it and share it! You want some craft beer? Okay, I got you! And now they sell wine? In the grocery store?!? When did State College get so modern with the times?!?!? Last time I was there (couple weeks ago) they had a wine tasting... I about died! Was I teleported back west? It was so nice to see a wine rep in a grocery store in PA! I was super surprised at the transformation of the hot and cold bars! Wow! I'm not really a fan of buffet types of settings... but everything is right there if you are! Besides their amazing bakery... the sushi... and cheese... and fish... and antipasto... everything is so affordable. It really, really is. When I compare what I pay in WA for Whole Foods... yinz got it made! I wish we had Wegmans on the west coast... maybe someday!

Great grocery store that has just about everything. However, they don't carry everything that you would come to expect. They've shifted over the years to carrying more store brand items and less name brand items. Because of that, some things they don't carry anymore (i.e. lemon-pepper marinade). Their produce is very good and I do love their bread. The deli team is very quick compared to any other grocery store in the area. The meat department can be hit or miss. It seems the butchers are only friendly to the people they know and are very short with everyone else. The prepared food section is quite pricey for what you get. However, the made to order food is reasonably priced and good for a quick meal. I haven't tried the buffet bar style food yet as I can't bring myself to try something from those bars with so many people touching and walking by the food. It also looks dried out every time I walk by it. The bakery has gone downhill in the last few years offering fewer items and the taste isn't the same. The cake frosting just isn't good anymore since they changed it. I also don't care for their coffee as it lacks flavor to me, but others seem to enjoy it as they offer many different types (I only drink regular). Overall, I go there about once a week to at least get my produce and bulk meat. Many of their other items are much cheaper elsewhere.

The prepared foods are overpriced. The sushi is pretty good. Love the bakery. Lots of options for takeout though.

The store associates sanitize the carts immediately when they are returned. There are also wipes located near the entrance and hand sanitizer. I liked that they control how many people enter the store. It allows for social distancing and makes you feel more comfortable shopping and looking at items before deciding whether to purchase or not. My friend had to speak with the manager about a previous purchase and the manager was very nice and accommodating.

Fast forward to me moving to Hershey for grad school from my delicate life surrounded by Trader Joe's, Sprouts, etc in the bosom of Orange County, CA and I was shocked, saddened, and defeated. This wonderful area that I now called home had two Trader Joe's "in my area", one being in Towson, MD and the other being in Philadelphia. Luckily, as I traveled back home to California during holidays, I'd be lucky enough to fly into and out of one of those airports so I'd make it a ritual to stop by TJs on my way home as long as I flew in before they closed. Still though, going to TJs once every few months isn't ideal. So imagine my delight when I'm driving to my clinical rotation site at State College, and what do I see - Trader mutha$#*in' JOE'S. I'm only up here for 5 weeks total, but I've gone here every single day so far. I've probably spent about $500 in the last four weeks. I love this place. It's exactly how Trader Joe's should be: bright, inviting, clean, and with an excellent selection of food and goods. Hell, even the staff is as jovial as the ones back home, which is proof that they have incredible system-wide hiring practices. If you're in the area, go to Trader Joe's. Just bask in the glory of the wonderful stuff that they have. Pro tip: if you're going to do one thing to elevate your charcuterie game, make it the herb-crusted Chèvre goat cheese and grab a jar or the hot and sweet pepper jelly. Crackers are your choice. But do yourself this favor. Cheers!

I don't, so I wont' go back. won't go back? 1 star.

That's not so with this International Market in State College! They had a plethora of Mediterranean, South American, Asian, and European products. Another great thing is it is somewhat organized by region, so you don't find random things next to each other. The store is located in an old house so you go from room to room while shopping. It can feel a little bit cramped but I was surprised by the amount of products they sell. There are lots of refrigerator and freezer goods too. The prices seem high for American groceries but as far as I can tell they are typical for an international market. I'd suggest reading other reviews and checking expiration dates. I'm new in town and have only been once but I understand they may not have high turnover for some products that may end up past their expiration. Just use your brain. Not sure if they take cards- I always assume there's a card minimum or that they don't take card so keep cash on hand. The only disappointing thing was their fresh produce. It was the size of a cocktail table and had about 6 items total. I'm sure there are other shops in town with better produce selection but as far as cultural variety, I'd say this International Market takes the cake.
