Well stocked today for the start of memorial day weekend. I got everything I needed and in and out of the checkout line quickly. I only wish the cashiers would stop overloading the brown paper bags. They make them so heavy its hard for some people to carry. If we are charged for the bag why must they pack so heavy? The prices are high but quality is usually top notch. I have had problems with the quality of produce. Especially berries. They mold in a day! The store itself is clean. And easy to navigate. read more

I'll keep it real. This Wegman's is well-maintained. The workers put a lot of effort into cleaning their bathrooms. The best part about it is using the bathrooms. My best experience at a Wegman's so far. They keep it clean and workers are always helpful. I haven't checked out the patio area but I've heard good things. read more

It looks nice on the outside and the inside. It's very big, though I found the layout of the frozen section being different than rest of store a bit odd. The ready-made section was big, lots of different prepared foods and combinations. I like how some proteins were separated on its own in the salad section so I could take a box of salad and a separate box of protein and not feel restricted to pre-defined mixes. Only thing is I felt the prices were kinda expensive. There is a walk in fridge for beer. In the back you'll find maybe 15-20 cans that can be purchased individually. Outside fridge with many more single cans had to be purchased as part of a pack (4 or 6, I forget). I like this store and would come back. read more

I used to love wegmans but no longer. They've gotten greedy with their prices. I won't go to this store location any longer. It's a bottleneck to get in or out. There is way too much display clutter. The overhead music is obnoxiously loud. The isles are narrow and it's often hard to get around without running into someone or stock carts, or stuff in general. Their prices are constantly increasing. $14 for 1 pound of chicken salad is just crazy. I find the quality of wegmans branded items have gone down hill and this started pre-Covid. It's lost if friendly, family feeling. And the plus side, it does have a large selection of products and seems to have the better quality fruits and vegetables in the area. read more

This place has everything fresh produce, amazing prepared foods, a bakery that could bring you to tears. it's a calm place very nice inside. There's this one Front End coordinator who looks like they walked straight out of a heaven. Confident, kind, and way too attractive for me to focus on my shopping list. I went in for sourdough walked out wondering if i just saw my true love. I was reaching for the last loaf of sourdough when our eyes met. After that happened i got lost in the glow of the produce section. He asked if I needed help. I said "yes" but not just with my groceries with my heart. I love Wegmans! First time being in this grocery store and I must say it's great. I wish it was a grocery that would make its way down south- somewhere in the Louisiana or Texas states. This particular location is big with a variety of everything you need in it. With the hot food section and options to eat that are readily available, I was thinking Whole Foods similarity. When they announced they were moving my nice small East Henrietta Rd location( where I knew where everything was) to this huge Calkins Rd location I was worried. But the first time I walked into this beautiful store I quickly realized I had nothing to worry about. They put a lot of thought into designing this store, giant parking lot on three sides of the store. That even during the holiday season or a as a snow storm approaches and everyone is here stocking up on last minute necessities there is room for everyone to park. I love shopping with the smaller grocery cart, so much easier then pushing around the full size cart. The store is always clean and neatly organized. I use the wegmans app on my phone to set up my shopping list and it puts all my items in order of the layout of the store! The first department you enter is the produce department, and one of my favorites. Always fresh items and a wide selection of locally grown produce. If you have any questions or recommendations, the employees are always knowledgeable and willing to help. The cheese section is amazing, really expanding my horizon. They are always sampling and pairing cheese with other food and beverages. Very helpful tips. Wegmans is such a staple in our community, I love shopping here! read more

As a serial Wegmans shopper, this is my LEAST favorite store. Why? Why? I'm still asking myself that question. First off, THE SIZE. From the outside it looks vast... but once you get inside it's layout is more confusing than it has to be. I'm extremely used to the flow of the Wegmans in Pittsford and the one in Perinton. In all it's vastness, the Calkins Road store is waay more disjointed. They should take a few more cues from the Pittsford Mothership & revamp. I'd start with the baked goods & breads department. Even the East Rochester store has them beat in that area! Sigh... I guess you can't have everything! read more

Wegmans, oh how I love thee. From picking up my weekly instacart, grabbing a sub, and getting a flu shot it really is my go-to one stop shop. I love the curbside option for their meals to go too! Lots of really weak links in the produce department here. Today is 9/28 and I stood and watched Mr. I Don't Give a $hit placing this very celery on the shelves that was 2 weeks + pas it's sell by date. Sorry, Wegmans - your produce department is consistently 3 colors short of a rainbow. Update on 10/19/16 I've been away from Wegmans for a few months due to medical challenges. My husband had to do our shopping and met many of the same frustrations I had had with outdated, moldy produce. Yes! On every visit. Today - finally on the mend, I was able to shop. The folks there have made it clear that no matter how nicely or often I bring these issues to their attention - they don't care. Here's JUST ONE example of what disgusting produce I found today. There were 6 bags of these tomatoes and each had at least one moldy one. If they don't want to show me some effort to fix the problems, I'll just keep posting here. It's been a while and unfortunately I have to report that this location continues to fail at customer service and experience. This location is amazing! I come here two to three times a week for lunch because they have an amazing buffet of choices! I'm diehard for the Mac and cheese and chicken fritters, and the occasional big yummy salad! Sub station is always a winner as well. There's always someone wiping tables immediately after someone gets up, buffet is always full and being restocked, hot and fresh. I have been here enough times and I don't understand why I never wrote a review. This is a lovely well thought out/inside designed Wegmans. We went in here at 11:00pm for a sweet treat on a Friday night and they had tons of baked goods for sale, we were impressed! We picked at a couple donuts, the coconut being my personal favorite, and they were delicious! Unfortunately I didn't see any self-checkouts. He cashier was decent. Kyle in the sub shop is less than trash. I ordered 3 subs with no line and they told me to comeback in 30 mins. When I came back I found out they threw away my order an told me to wait again. I love wegmans but yesterday I went in to buy from the lotto machine and my ticket didn't come out. I guess it took a while so I told the front guy about it. He was friendly and called his supervisor inside the office. When she came out she did not have a smile or not even a good morning. She just went to the lotto machine and said ohh her it is. She passed by her employee and said yeah she didn't bend down it was right there. I was like wow this lady has no customer service ethic at all. And she said that infront of the customer. Wegman's is a nice brand and they have nice stores. But lately, cashier customer service has gotten really, really bad. Cashiers are explicitly rude, ignorant, and inattentive to simple requests. Myself and many customers I know dont care where someone comes from or what their background is, and we've made endless efforts to be polite and kind, but the people Wegman's is hiring for front facing jobs are just rude and ghetto as hell. I understand the economic dynamics of using them for low skilled jobs and acting like it's some altruistic gift to underserved communities, but at this point I'd rather they just increase the amount of self-checkouts the way Walmart does. Theres no sense paying for "old-school charm" when the people tasked with it offer zero charm. read more

Why does Wegmans have a shoppers club card,if one doesn't save anything with it? On average,I shop there at least 2-3 times a week, and spend on average $100.00 each time. Yet, when I get my receipt,I've saved roughly a measely $.50. Alot of their product used to be on the card,yet it has changed alot. Overpriced and les customer service. While I understand NYS is mandating that grocery stores cannot use plastic bags for environmental purposes, the inconvenience and frustration caused to customer is significant. I don't want to buy bags to use and I'm tired of transferring dozens of grocery items to my car and then from my car into my house. I suppose stores like Wegmans end up saving a lot of cost as they no longer need to purchase millions of plastic bags annually. They also make money on the branded bags they sell. You'd think a customer focused store like Wegmans would come up with better alternatives than to charge customers for the bags for their groceries. That's one of the many reasons I don't waste my time with stores like BJs. I hope a brewer solution is being planned. A dissatisfied customer. read more

A very up-to-standard Wegmans. It's not Pittsford or Eastway, but it's certainly in the "New Wegmans" genre, and is far superior to the nearby Hylan Dr location in all regards. Wide selection of good quality produce, well-organized cheese department (sheep and goat even get separate labels!), and so forth. Certainly in the upper tier of Wegmans locations. read more

I never have this kind of problem with other Wegman locations. beside the price of many products is higher and not the price listed on the shelve, have to call them over to change it at self check out. Best grocery stores in the US. This is a relatively new store, and it has that same attention to the overall environment and services that make this grocery store not just a grocery store. The cafe area is very nice, there is wifi. They offer breakfast sandwiches and a variety of great coffees. The produce area is beautiful and the high ceilings make you feel like you're outdoors. I really want to like this Wegmans since it's the closest location to my house, but no such luck. I don't exactly understand the layout of the items. As an example, Kerrygold butter isn't actually in the butter section- rather it can sometimes be found in the produce section. But not always because sometimes they move it elsewhere. How does that make sense? Also, I'm not sure if the cashiers are actually trained on proper bagging etiquette or not, but 9 times out of 10 I have some sort of issue. For example, I'll bring +8 reusable bags for them but the cashier will make it their mission to fit everything in 2 bags making them incredibly heavy. More often than not my meat is placed sideways in the bags which misshapes it and gives it the possibility of leaking. Or items weight isn't taken into consideration. For example, the bagger will place hamburger buns in the bottom of the bag and then continue to put things on top of them such as jelly jars. Please please invest in a little more bag training! read more

This wegmans has the worst sub shop services I ever dealt with. Both of the workers did not greet me at all, but once one of the workers friend walked by they spoke to them.
